Big Mixtures
submitted almost 8 years ago by Stanbarwood

What equipment do you all use for making a big mixture of one batch of juice? For example, making 240+ ML of juice. What do you use to measure and containers to put them in?

I just use the same stuff that I use for small bottles. But, the only time I make small bottles is when testing a new mix.

I'm a truck driver so every 3 or 6 months I mix 5-10 240ml bottles to take on the road with me. I always have 10-19 full 240ml bottles in my truck when I leave home.

I just mix in each bottle.
Use a 10ml syringe for the nic (6ml of 100mg/ml per bottle).
Use 1 or 10ml syringes for the flavors.
I don't add PG so I just fill the bottles directly from a gallon jug of VG. Fill it half, shake real good, finish filling to around 1/4 inch from the top, shake again.

No funnels the bottles from nic river are squeeze bottles they work great for filling up small bottles. They are only like .80 cents each bought 8 last time.

Get a selection of bottles. It's nice to keep VG in 2x 16 oz bottle so I don't have to keep refilling one smaller bottle.

Also, the nic river bottles are pretty wide mouth so it's easy to fill them up straight from the gallon.

I use a 500 ml plastic beaker. Also milk frothier. Like to measure by volume just ordered a heated magnetic stir plate. Also I was using 240ml steeping bottles then switched to small mason jars, what I'm liking to use now though is the plastic bottles from nicotine river they have some 480ml ones and smaller those work best for filling up small bottles the transferring from mason jars or steeping bottles was messy.

What do you use to pour it in? Funnel?

I use a scale and a beaker.

I use mason jars and a scale to make the mix. The bottom is thin enough that you can use it with a magnetic mixer. Top is wide enough to be able to use a hand mixer or a frother if you dont have the cool magnetic mixer. Once the mix has time to steep, I use a 50ml syringe to fill the bottle I'm going to be carrying around to drip from.

I mix in 500 ml glass amber bottles. I use a 10 ml syringe for the nic, 20 ml syringe or a spout which fits the bottle for PG. For concentrates it's straight from the bottle or a syringe. VG I pour straight from the bottle. If making more than 350ml I use a 2kg 0.1g scale for the VG because my 500g 0.01g scale will be overloaded (I pour my VG last). I've been meaning to get a funnel, but have managed to mix comfortably in this way for more than a year.

Think of it more as the thread for any post that doesn't concern or benefit the attention of all 36,765 subscribers to the sub. Maybe it should be renamed to "the general questions thread" or something.

> the general questions thread

This would probably make people more inclined to posting there.
