how do you guys deal with the larger, non-drip flavor bottles?
submitted about 8 years ago by ronanclashroyale

I got my first 60+ ml bottles in yesterday, and had no clue they would come without dripper tops. What do i do, get pipettes and rubber bands? do I need a separate pipette for each one? I remember someone saying not to cross-contaminate a while back.

Box of disposable pipettes is pretty cheap. Otherwise, syringe and long blunt needle tip. Dedicate it to the one flavor. Alternatively, use a unicorn bottle. Pour the whole bottle into one, and label it well.

Save the first 30ml bottle I used and refill it from the 4oz bottle

Same. Easiest to handle when making small batches.

Get unicorn bottles to put them in so it's easier to drip. That's what I do when I order 120 ml bottles.

Plastic pipettes or when I’m not lazy, transfer to different bottles

Check www.dropperbottles.com I think they have 100 drip tops with caps for $6.

I get all my bottles from them, and droppers/caps are provided. They also have a code that I believe is permanent. (DIY)

I keep all of my bottles. When I get big 120ml bottles I fill up my unicorn bottles or some old 30ml bottles depending on the atomizer I'm using.

I buy bags of 100-150 3ml pipettes from Amazon and just dispose of them when I finish!

After they're completely empty I use them to stir my coffee or water and then dispose of them.

I got the box of 500. It was only like $12 and they've been lasting me ages.

I use syringes, got like 100 of them in Amazon for like $12. They are sterile and 1ml.

Would be nice to have drip tips for the 120ml bottles. I end up just pouring into my bottle approximate amount needed. Gave up a long time ago on accuracy of recipes. I know what generally works and how much of it is needed. The drip tips would definitely make for less potential mess.

Either use syringes or transfer it into smaller bottles.

The majority of my 120mls are flavors that I had previously purchased in a 30ml and then used enough that I decided it was worth buying the bigger bottle of, so I just refill the empty 30ml from the 120. Anything else I just use a new empty 30ml and label the contents.

I'm so lazy that if I was going to place an order for a 4oz bottle and already threw out my original 30ml bottle, I'd just order a new 30ml bottle with the 4oz and refill that one.

Transfer to 60ml chubby bottles.
