How do you drink your coffee and what flavor do you vape?
submitted about 8 years ago by Alextwillz

So I normally drink my coffee with just a splash of almond milk or walnut milk. I don't see the need to miss out on the flavor of my coffee by filling it with loads of sugar. Same way with my eliquid.

I normally vape cereal, custards/creams, or bakery style flavors in the morning. It's such a great way to wake up. The flavors go well together. I imagine nuts and cinnamons can be a fantastic pair as well.

What's your morning routine with coffee and vaping? I'm curious to see what your favorite pairs are!

This recipe has been my morning vape for a week now and I'm not sure I've ever had one that pairs as well with that first cup of coffee.

I like my coffee hot, black, and strong, by the way.

Ah, the way coffee is meant to be. Except you forgot to mention the Jameson's.

As far as my morning vape, I usually just go with whatever my current ADV is (which right now is the Irish Creme hot chocolate I'm currently working on).

I prefer mine black, bitter, preferably fair trade...
Vape is pipe tobacco with a hint of butterscotch.

What a coincidence, that recipe has been my morning and evening vape for over a year. I have an ePipe on the desk with a KF5 always loaded with it and a dedicated squonker with it always loaded and ready to go.

I usually have coffee with a little skim milk and a tiny bit of a flavored cream or a sugar free coffee flavoring. Every once in a while black for the supreme taste.

I'll literally vape whatever I'm enjoying at the time, since I often have coffee throughout the whole day. Vape and coffee are my vices. Been exclusively vaping tobaccos for a while and they go well with everything.

I feel like this:

> Been exclusively vaping tobaccos for a while and they go well with everything.

Is the key to this:

> I'll literally vape whatever I'm enjoying at the time

Try vaping some straight fruit recipes and especially fruit with coolant like WS-23 or Koolada... You will likely recoil in disgust from either your vape or your coffee, or both.

All I taste is a butterscotch candy when I vape anything while drinking coffee. Doesn't matter if it's raspberry gummybears or menthol.

Black coffee with Toasted RY4... I've been tinkering with the recipe for 2 yrs now but it's vanilla cupcake, toasted marshmallow w/a hint of graham, & ry4. Been wanting to post the recipe but it's still not done yet; hopefully it will be close enough before the end of the tobacco FOTW blitz ;)

In the mornings I'm usually putting Sumatra in my Verismo machine. It's an herbal dark roast that I really enjoy in the mornings. Due to having limited time to mix I'm usually vaping one of my batches that I've been working on when I wake up. Most of the time though I'll be having Ruby's Oatz. When Goldfish mentioned adding 1% FW Hazelnut to his frosting base I've been trying that in my latest batches and it sure does make a difference. It's a little too malty but it definitely belongs in the recipe. Maybe 0.5% instead of 1%.

I drink a double shot latte made with these beans, 8 oz of milk and a packet of truvia. I'll vape whatever my ADV is, usually something fruity, but I've done Cheesecake, Churrios, etc. The flavor doesn't bother me much. I drink three lattes a day and tend to drink at least 2 of them outside while I vape. If I know a juice is particularly strong, I will pick another tank when I go outside with my cuppa.

We have a Gaggia semi-automatic espresso machine. My husband gave it to me for Christmas a couple years ago. I adore it and have saved so much money, even buying better quality beans (I buy them directly from the roaster, in person, so it's slightly cheaper than the website.)

I take my coffee black and I vape dessert flavors with it. Caramels, custards, bakery flavors.

I drink Gevalia's House Blend and Italian, black. This is both strong and rich, so to pair it with a vape is a little tricky. My favorite is my peppermint patty clone

Splash of creamer, 2 sugars.

As for the vape, I like something fruity, so Northland's Genreally Fruity does it for me. Or their Jungle No. 4.

I drink my coffee all day long. Though I got sensitive to caffeine in my old age and it's decaffeinated now a days.

I drink it on ice with some nut milk. Though I'll vape anything with it, a favorite of mine is banana nut bread. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1848181/nana%20nut%20bread

Coffee is usually a black Kona estate or Kona blend in a French press or pour over. Vape is usually a tobacco of some sort. It takes the place of the old morning cigarette.

A few that I'm digging right now:

  • Cloud Alchemist Arrakis
  • my own [Dune] (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/57961#dune_an_arrakis_remix_by_kindground)

Like my coffee on an hourly basis. It needs to be strong and black with no sugar. I prefer syrupy blueberry, milk vapes when I'm drinking coffee. That's just a preference though, it's usually whatever I'm testing at the time.

I'm usually vaping a milky blueberry custard with a blueberry Red Bull in the mornings

There's a few Canadian online vendors that have great coffee flavoured juices. The Vaporist even has a Tim Horton's Double Double flavoured juice.

Really? I've only seen coffee polluted with crap like cream or sugar available.

I don't think you'll be able to find a coffee flavour that isn't creamy and just straight black unless you DIY. Besides, even TPA Coffee has a hint of sweet I find at least.

Vape whatever is in the tank.

I usually drink cold brew black. It's almost like iced tea, so refreshing. I'll usually pair cereals or bakeries with it also.

Coffee is fresh ground with a splash of heavy cream.

Right now with it getting a bit cooler (esp in the morning) I'm back to either apple butter or apple cobbler ejuice (store bought). Need to get back into diy and try to make something similar. Just bought a house so I'll finally have room to store more stuff... My apt was stuffed full and keeping all the mixing stuff in an accessible location was annoying. It was either in the way or a pain to dig out of storage.

Seems to go well but also seem to be going through a lot more coils than last year so either got a bad batch of coils or something else is weird. Gonna go back to TC coils next and see if that helps.

1 points

by juthincabout 8 years ago

So, you've been going through coils faster on juices you didn't make yourself. I'm shocked. </sarcasm>

1 points

by themangeraaadabout 8 years ago

I was vaping the same stuff late last summer and into the fall, so something has changed. Either the juice or the coils. Using the same tank and type of coils so should be more or less an apples to apples comparison to my setup last year.

1 points

by juthincabout 8 years ago

Ah. Don't discount the possibility you got a better than average batch of coils last year, then.

I like my coffee dark with just enough sugar to take out the bitterness. As far as vape pairings with it I have been on a fw candy cane & tfa white chocolate mix I make.

Coffee is either black or with hazelnut creamer, which I drink from waking up to after lunch.

My preferred vapes are banana bread, tiramisu cream, banana snickerdoodle, Rocketpuppy's RY4, Apple 'bacco, Muffin man clone, Moose in Madrid and what's in my morning tank now, Pistachio Ice Cream. Now and again, I'll still throw some channer or cholar bear in the mix too - never gets old

Cafe Verona, 2 Tbsp of sugar, and a splash of Coldstone Ice cream Creamer, paired with Strapple Donut by High Seas is by far the best combo I've come across for my morning routine.

I'll take a swig of my coffee, and follow it with a nice hit from my vape, and the flavors just combine so well. It's very refreshing as I stare off into the valley, while on my back porch. (:

Home roasted beans, usually Ethiopian of some kind. Ice brewed with my Aeropress. Made in a glass with a single, oversized ice cube added after brewing (so I don't swallow a bunch of small pieces of ice).

As for my vape with coffee, since it's Ethiopian coffee fruit flavors go very nicely, specifically berry flavors. Especially with Harar or my personal favorite, Worka Sakaro. So it varies somewhat and probably differs from most of the answers here.

Although a nice vanilla tobacco mix of some sort certainly drains my grapes, too.

E: Jesus, I sound pretentious. I'm not, I promise, I just really know what I like.

Home roaster...nice! Will be stepping into this rabbit hole soon if the wife appeoves. Mind sharing your setup?

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe was what got me into specialty coffee and Harrar is rare to find here but delicious...so it's either get whatever my subscription offers or start roasting whatever I want. Any tips on where to start? Feel free to PM me if this detracts from the main topic

Nothing terribly fancy.

I have a javaPRO CRC which is basically a professionally-converted Ronco rotisserie (no, seriously). It's not the best home-roaster out there, but it's certainly a damn fine one. /r/roasting often says (or said, maybe it's been superseded) it's probably the best roaster to get when you're buying your first "serious" roster.

Other than that I have a pretty spartan setup. A wire strainer for cooling the beans and getting the chaff out, a small put decently powerful fan for doing said cooling and chaff-blowing (I lay the fan down and set the strainer on top with the coffee in it), a couple of wooden spoons to stir the coffee as it cools, and some welding gloves for handling hot things because they look cooler than my old Ove Gloves. Only other thing I use is the stopwatch app on my Pebble.

And two protips. Your wife will approve the moment she tastes that first home-roasted cup of coffee. Well, the first one you don't botch. And protip number two, Harar is decently common when you're buying it green. It's harder to find roasted because we snatch it up for ourselves. Here's some you can buy right now. Just a warning, the price per pound may add to the temptation to jump into the rabbit hole.

In fact, the price per pound is one of the biggest things that got me roasting. My coffee is far better than what I used to drink, even when I screw it up, but it costs less than half the price of the coffee I used to drink.

Wow...wish that unit was available in 220v. Was considering a Huky or Kaldi but might be too much to take on right away. Might have to settle for a Behmor or the HotTop (which I am leaning towards). My wife is just starting to get into coffee, but with the frothed milk and sugar and cinnamon sugar. It will be hard work but someday I will get her to drink and like my home roast haha.

I guess that roasting will be the natural progression in the coffee rabbit hole. Kind of like DIY e-juice. Tailoring what you want, for as little cost as possible in the long run. Let's face it, I have nearly broke even in what I would have spent on cigarettes with my vaping purchases. And I only started vaping in June. So hopefully roasting will give me the same turnaround.

And thanks for the tips...can't wait to get me some Harar. Must start researching on roasting profiles and take the plunge soon!

I really dig heavy menthols with coffee. The flavors of each clean the pallet of the other so each puff and sip are like a fresh brand new world of flavor

I drink my coffee either with a splash of milk, or as a flat white. I vape this cinnamon rice pudding with it, they go really well together.
