I've been vaping my own mix for about 2 months and it's Relaxing and I never thought I would say this but I can't imagine smoking a analog now.
I tried to quite using Vape before but buying it locally meant that £5 for 10ml just didn't seem worth it and I'd always run out.
I followed the advice got my supplies and follow the suggestion at this link http://forum.e-liquid-recipes.com/t/a-beginners-guide-to-making-the-most-highly-rated-recipes/83612
Boobies nana, tfa Strawberry Cheesecake tfa Girl With The Dragon Cheescake tfa Mustard Milk tfa Sucker punch tfa
Which taste nice at the start but quite soon it was like and is that I can't really taste much it's vapeable but I wouldn't be able to tell any of them blind folded. Is this normal
Also on another note I also got these
Koolada tfa Raspberry tfa Blueberry Cheesecake One on One
These not only tasted back but really change the feel of the Vape and seem to cut down on clouds. They were so bad I threw them out.
Any advice.
And If you can anyone got any simple recipes that don't have the same flavours as the stuff I mention
Also I really like to talk everyone that takes the time to go over the simple stuff. I had started vaping and stopped about 5 times as I'd run about if liquid and when 10ml is close to the cost of tobacco it's hard not to give in when you standing in the shop.
Life is weird it's genuinely possible that 10-15 years from now people will be walking about alive because like me they gave vaping one more chance because they came here and it made vaping so cheap that smoking seemed like burning money.
What are you ratios?
As off as it sounds, too much flavoring will cause muted flavors.
I buy almost exclusively TFA, and there aren't any I would go over 6% with. Rarely any of my mixes go above 8% total flavoring.
Some exceptions would be koolada. Keep it at 1% at most. Same with banana. The cinnamon is literally, "Dip a toothpick in and dip in your mix." Depending on volume.
I make a cinnamon swirl at 240ml batches... I use 1-1.25ml of cinnamon.
Moral of the story is, start low.. work up.
A note about Koolada. If (like me) 1% isn't giving you the coolness/coldness that you wanted or expected, going any higher isn't going to help, it'll just ruin your juice and make it gritty/harsh/mute flavors. Some people just aren't very sensitive to WS-3 (Koolada).
Instead, get your hands on some WS-23. 1% of WS-23 DTL is almost icy for me and it's the perfect level of coolness. 2% in high nic MTL is also perfect.

There are quite a few possible reasons.
One of the most common reasons you can't taste the e-liquid anymore (especially if you could taste it after proper aging) is due to lack of hydration. PG absorbs moisture. When you inhale it, it bonds to the water molecules in your lungs, mouth, and nose causing them to dry out. When you are dehydrating, your body creates a a protective layer around your tongue and nasal cavity in an attempt to keep moisture in. Remember to stay hydrated.
It could also be that your palate is overwhelmed. Too much intensity of one flavor can cause this. Coffee or vinegar will help a bit. But won't correct it completely. As mentioned before, try cutting the stronger flavors to lower percentages.
TL;DR: Hydration is key. Cleanse your palate with coffee or vinegar. Cut stronger flavors to lower %.

I sort of have the same problem which at least in my case I seem to have fixed.
Hydration is a thing. I find I get more flavour after drinking.
However what I've found making the biggest difference is the rig I vape with.
My vaping progression has been CE4/5 atomisers -> Cheap Aspire tanks -> More expensive Aspire tanks (Nautilus 2) -> Aspire Clieto 120 ?RTA?.
Or more likely the move from 2.5 Ohm to eventually 0.16 Ohm coils.
Since moving to the Clieto a week ago I haven't had a single un-tasty draw but YMMV.
The reason for moving so slowly was it took me 18 months to move from 24 or 18 mg/ml Nicotine down to 6 mg/ml. In the end I wasn't difficult and I did the drop in a week.
Eventually I'm going to get a RDA rig but money is tight ATM
