Single Flavor Profile Recipes?
submitted about 8 years ago by alexanderkirov

Looking for a great fruit single flavor profiles (enjoying them more than complex recipes lately). Strawberry (not TFA), blueberry, peach, watermenlon... You got the idea, right? What are your favorites?

P.S: I'm talking about recipes involving multiple flavorings to deliver a single profile: e.g. 2/3/4/... strawberry flavorings to get ultimate (just) strawberry flavor profile.

I havent had shisha strawberry but FA Red Touch is a great sort of syrupy strawberry and JF sweet strawb is really unique in that it actually has a lot of tartness, almost like the pricklyness of the seeds when biting into a crisp and slightly sour fresh strawberry. Its odd if you're aiming for a more candyish flavor but its a great touch for a more realistic strawberry and it cuts through pretty definitively in whatever you mix it with. It pairs amazingly with red touch for that reason. Just gotta play with the ratios a bit. Keep % low or else it gets a little wet-sock-esque

Yeah, that looks good, too. FA Apricot is such a great stone-fruit filler-outer

Yes, it is! I find myself using a drop per 10mL in a lot of my fruity mixes. It's my new INW Cactus ATM. It adds a different kind of juiciness. I can't really explain it. It's not..."wet?" like Cactus is.

These links were helpful for me, as I am into single flavor and simple mixes at the moment.

The first link is all about single flavor recipes (not single flavor profiles).

The second link is all about multi profile recipes (fruit mixes).

I was talking about recipes involving multiple flavorings to deliver a single profile: e.g. 2/3/4/... strawberry flavorings to get ultimate (just) strawberry flavor profile.

Sweet Strawberry (Cap)

That's clearly the strawberry in Mothers Milk and by itself it tastes very similar to Mothers Milk.

Maybe search the sub for the 'holy trinity' profiles of strawberry and blueberry. Can't remember them off hand but many consider them to be 3 concentrates that make the complete single fruit.

Both can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/63ucy7/making_a_catalog_of_concentrate_starter_kits/

If anyone comes up with a ultimate cherry flavor profile, I definitely would go for that.

Me too, cherry is a cruel mistress (read: bitch)

Have you played with FA Marzipan or INW Marzipan? They both have different "cherry" qualities.

I haven't gotten that far into this yet to have tried that... and probably never would've either thought to try it or even buy those flavors otherwise. About the closest thing I'd have thought of is trace amounts of tobacco (which is definitely not my specialty).
