Which flavors have you found to be so good, they didnt need any tweaking with additives, or mixing with other flavors?
Some of the Hangsen tobaccos, such as Tab-Blend, and RY3 (not RY4) needed nothing. They're perfect as they are, although I might use them to better up other flavors or make my own RY4.
Hangsen Cigar is in my opinion the best of them all. I think its what vaping is supposed to taste like.
Superconcentrates from VapingZone (i.e Xian Xiangfu flavors) RY4, USA Blend, and Flue Cured are perfect alone.
FlavourArt Dark Bean (espresso) is great by itself.
Currently trying FlavourWest Butter Pecan, and its perfect as a standalone.
I think FlavorWest Butterscotch Ripple (judging by the smell from the bottle) will be another stand alone winner.
Inawera's Dark for Pipe
Capella's Sweet Tangerine and Vanilla Custard (V1)
TFA's RY-4 Double
INW Gold Ducat between 1.75-2.5%. This is by far my favorite sf vape. It's very complex, and when you mix it with other flavors, it typically mutes some of that complexity.
This thread is helping me immensely right now. I'm just getting started with diy and want to keep it fairly simple at first. I am mainly into tobacco's, so this is really useful.
I do use these in mixes, but like them quite a bit on their own:
INW Black for Pipe
FLV Red Burley (actually prefer this one alone. Lose it a bit in a mix)
FE Captain (maybe a pinch of Koolada/Polar Blast)
FLV Classic Cigarette is shaping up to be nice by itself. Kind of reminds me of FA Burley, but actually good.
INW Fortuna Strike (pinch of DNB if you're nasty)
INW Black Jack Tobacco
Very few are good alone ... I'll give you my short list
-
JF ry4 double , fuck TFA's version
-
FLV milk and honey
-
DIYFS Holy Vanilla
Everything else that I think about putting on this list just wouldn't cut it. These flavors are easy to improve upon but I could easily vape 60ml+ of them solo.
I would add FLV Chocolate Deutsch to that list. It's hard to find a fault with that flavor.
It's that straight chocolate or chocolate cake? Does it wreck coils?
I can't get FLV Milk and Honey to work for me. What % are you mixing at I've tried 2 to 5% am I missing the mark somewhere?
Liquid Barns White Chocolate and Peppermint.
flavorwest's skittles for me
Seconded.
I screwed around trying to make a Skittles recipe for several weeks, ordered TFA Rainbow Drops and FW Skits Candy (their name of the month for that flavor I guess), and the FW just worked all by itself.
Rainbow Drops needs help, but probably not much.
- Cream Cheese Icing (LA)
- Yellow Cake (FW)
- Butterscotch (Natural) (FW)
- Vanilla Custard (CAP)
- Sweet Strawberry (CAP)
- RY4 Double (TPA) -- this i'm actually not a fan of but i can tell it's a complete and great flavor by itself
- NY Cheesecake (CAP)
- Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA)
These all answer what I think is the spirit of your question but each and every one can be made even better with additional flavors.
Some of these are quite simple alone, like Vanilla Custard and NY Cheesecake. But sometimes I want just a nice gentle, sweet vape and they do that perfectly.
Medicine Flower Honeydew is pretty perfect standalone. The downside is that, as with most MF flavors, it needs quite the steep.
MF Cantaloupe is really good as well. I don't have Honeydew, but may try a bit in the future.
These are some of my favs: FW Butterscotch Ripple, FW Toffee Dream Cream, FW Butter Pecan, RF SC Black Label French Vanilla (not the regular), TFA RY4 Double, TFA French Vanilla Deluxe, RF Deep Fried Twinkie and Butterfinger (but only if used in 7-10 days as it fades after that ), RF Bread Pudding VG version if used between the 2-4 week steep mark. RF Brownie SC if used in 3-10 days. Purilum Lemonade, FA Metaphor, Purilum Strawberry Lemonade, Purilum Sweet Tobacco, Purilum Toasted Coconut Cheesecake, Purilum Tropical Blend.
FW Butter Pecan and Toffee Dream Cream intrigue me, care to say more about them?
Yum and Yummier? Lol....just kidding. Toffee Dream Cream I like at 15% and best after a 4 week steep. It's a rich and creamy toffee ice cream. Great thickness and mouth feel, and depth of flavor. Has different layers of flavor. Butter Pecan is also similar to an ice cream. It has a lot of uses as an accent, but great as a SF also at 10-12%. This one is good at 2 weeks, but much better after 4. Thick, creamy and rich. Very much like an ice cream at higher percentages, authentic buttery brown sugar candied pecans in a smooth base. Both are multi layered flavors and sweet rich desserts if you have a sweet tooth like me. Both of these need a longer steep to really be their best.
