September 2017 Recipe Thread
submitted about 8 years ago by kirktBring on the Diacetyl, baby

This is the thread to share all of your best individual creations. If you want to share your recipe as its own post, it must have extra content such as development process, variations, etc - but please post it here as well for posterity. We also have weekly threads for new-mixer questions and "help me mix something with these flavors" threads. Please help keep the community "clean" by posting in appropriate threads.

It's best to use the format:
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) y drops per z ml
(note - if you are having trouble with spacing, hit the space bar twice before you hit return and your comment will begin a new line without a paragraph break).

Don't forget to review the many recipes from the August thread. Your next ADV may have already been posted there. Congrats to /u/nikareijii for having the top-voted recipe last month - looks very interesting.

Happy Mixing!

Pickle Rick

Mfg |Flavor | % ---|---|---- OoO | Pickle | 4 CAP | Cucumber | 2.5 ECX | WS-23 (30% in PG) | 1.55 INW | Cactus | 0.4 FA | Bitter Wizard | 0.3

A Popsicle made of Pickle Juice

Even with fall just around the corner, it can still get hot as Satan's balls down here in Texas and if you do any kind of outdoor activities, electrolytes will be lost. If you're desperate to put them back, nothing, not even Gatorate, works as well as one of Bob's Pickle Pops, the popsicle made of pickle juice.

All of this was built around OoO Pickle. Accurate as can be, but not a lot of fun to single-flavor test. Vaping pickle flavor is like drinking pickle juice. There's a world of difference in the experience of drinking warm (blech!), room temperature, or even refrigerated pickle juice versus the refreshment level of frozen pickle juice.

That's where WS-23 comes in, to make it freezing cold. Taste perception is subjective and response to cooling agents is possibly the most subjective thing in DIY, so feel free to increase if you like Malaysian juice or decrease if you're scared. Here's how I arrived at that odd-looking 1.55 %, though. Using too much coolant hurts, like getting a brain brain freeze from a Slurpee. But there's a thin blurry line between pleasure and pain -- consider the spiciest food you enjoy, or what orgasms sometimes sound like without words like "OHGOD! YES! YES, ID10-T, YES!" mingled in with the screams and moans to let you know she's enjoying it and not actually being murdered. I wanted to explore that, really ride that line. At 1.5%, WS-23 (in a 30% dilution, the way you can buy it from ECX or Chef's) wasn't close enough to being painful. 1.6% was over the line, just a little, just at first, until I got used to it. 1.55% makes me unsure whether I'm experiencing pleasure or pain. Like when you're done and she won't stop sucking. FWIW, I'm definitely more sensitive than most to Koolada, maybe that's also the case with me and WS-23 and you'll find this amount too tame for all this pleasure/pain nonsense. Regardless, it'll make your pickle into a pickle pop.

CAP Cucumber is there mostly to move it from a Best Maid or Vlasic pickle juice to something more Claussenesque, but it also gives it some welcome body, like freezing pickle juice gives you something to bite into. Similar to the pain/pleasure line, there's as much INW Cactus as I can put in here for extra juicy refreshment without it turning into a pickle-cactus recipe. No aloe in my pickle pop, please. Turns out OoO Pickle and a ton of WS-23 can take on quite a bit more than the 0.25% that would normally be my limit for this use of Cactus, but not quite a full double dose of it.

I owe a huge thank you to /u/ConcreteRiver for trying an earlier version of this via https://www.reddit.com/r/mixersclub/ and suggesting the addition of FA Bitter Wizard. It keeps the very light garlic note in the OoO Pickle from mingling with the relatively sweeter elements in Cucumber and Cactus (and VG, for that matter) from taking on a touch of a sweet onion vibe.

Edit: a letter

Doesn't it? There's a decent chance I've completely lost my mind and my palate with it. We all knew it would happen sooner or later.

On the other hand, have you ever enjoyed a pickle pop after coming in from a long day of working outside in the summer?

I did live in TX for a summer, but maybe pickle pops weren't a thing back then. I'm guessing they replace some of the salts lost during perspiration. I'd still opt for a gatorade.

Holy hell. And i thought I did something strange when i did the bubble tea and it tasted ..to me anyways a hair too real for a vape something i wanted cold and not warm.

Part of me goes "damn, StardustCoyote you should add koolada and see what happens to bubble tea.

And then the other part kicks in and goes "damn, Stardust Coyote, ideas off this recipe? Jesus H Christ girl, this recipe kinda makes you nauseated once you managed to stop laughing"

by Philosaphuckerabout 8 years agoWinner: Best Recipe of 2016 - Grack Juice

I was fortunate enough to receive this in the mail. If vaping on a pickle popsicle sounds appealing to you and you are REALLY SURE about that, then you want to mix this up. Seriously, stop reading now.
If the prospect of doing this does not appeal to you at all then your options are pretty limited. Pranking other vapers aside, you should probably just forget that this recipe exists.

Observations: This tastes like frozen pickle juice. While that is awesome, I have learned that frozen pickle juice is not very refreshing to me. This is the closest thing to 'salty' that I have ever vaped. I know that salty is one of those impossible vape experiences, so the effect is pretty cool to experience. My WS23 tolerance must be close to /u/ID10-T's because his notes on its usage were sensually relevant to me in vaping this.

I had my wife try this. She really liked it...as in she really enjoyed vaping it. In a fit of jealous rage, I threw the juice out, destroyed any pickles left in the house, ran out to the car, drove to the nearest grocery sore, and proceeded to smash an entire section of Vlasic before I was arrested. They sent me to cool off in a cell with a large gentleman named 'Pickle Poppa' who kept whispering about going all 'Bill Cosby' on me for the rest of the night.

So yeah, this is a great recipe but think before you vape it because at the very least, you will have to wash your RDA before switching flavors again.

-subLIME Bar-

This is my take on a Lime Creamsicle Bar. I've been trying to keep my recipes simple and to the point recently and I think I executed this one beautifully. This is a nice zesty lime flavored Popsicle surrounded by a decadent Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Holy Vanilla (DIYFS) - 2.5%

Marshmallow (TFA) - 1%

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TFA) - 3%

Key Lime (TFA) - 3%

Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) - 0.5%

optional: 2 drops CAP Super Sweet per 15/ml

Total Flavor % - 10%

Holy Vanilla/Marshmallow/VBIC - This is our Ice Cream. The holy vanilla really boosts the vanilla note and makes it extra creamy. The Marshmallow adds some mouthfeel, and great sweetness. Lastly, VBIC as a great ice cream base - It's one of my favorite flavors.

The Lime element is my go to combo - Key Lime and Lime Tahity CP. Its juicy, a bit sweet - and tart. Just lovely.

This is really good! It reminds me of this ice cream smoothie I would always get as a kid. It was called a Green Dragon smoothie, and it was delicious. It was pretty much a lime flavored soft-serve blended with ice, and this recipe reminds me of it. I did sub out Holy Vanilla in favor of INW Shisha Vanilla @ 1.5% since that's what I've been using in my ice cream base (also, I'm not blown away with Holy Vanilla).

Thanks for sharing this!

I'm glad to see someone recognizes how well vanilla and lime go together. How does the lime stand up to that much Holy V though? How long are you steeping that?

2 points

by xGRANITExabout 8 years ago

Firstly I have to mention vanilla is my favorite profile and HV my favorite vanilla. That being said I am always trying to push HV in my mixes. If I'm being honest I really thought this was too much but I tried it anyway . Surprisingly enough after 2 week steep time the lime is still really popping. No noticeable muting or dulling. In fact, it seems a little more tame and less abrasive than I remember kl and ltcp usually are. They truly mix very well .

Man I really have to thank you for this recipe. I mixed it up on Monday, and after a 3 day steep (vaping on it tonight) it's so amazing. This is probably the single best thing I've mixed up since I started DIY a little over a month ago.

SNV I found the high percentage of HV a little cloying and the lime just a tad too far in the background, but after that short steep it is just so on point. All of these flavors just blend so perfectly together. I'd highly recommend for anyone to try this. I'll probably be mixing up another 60ml of this tomorrow, because I don't see it lasting long.

The only change I made to the recipe was adding 1% WS-23 to give the ice cream a cooling sensation, and it's just awesome.

Any suggestions for a sub? Vanilla swirl, vanilla shisha, French vanilla?

Wouldn't be authentic to the original recipie but having a French vanilla note might be nice!

Black Fig

  • INW Am4a- .75%

  • INW Black for Pipe- 1%

  • FLV Fig- 1%

  • INW Tobacco C- 3.5%

Steep 14 days, but still good fresh. Just changes.

ATF copy/paste:

This tastes a lot more complex than it is. Am4a is a flavor that seems to give different vibes to everyone, and changes with each pull. Some get chocolate, I personally get more of a rum type of flavor from it with maybe a hint of chocolate. INW Tobacco C is a fairly complex flavor as well. It's a creamy, smooth tobacco, but tends to get a little lost in the mix, so I went a bit high with it, but it works. FLV Fig I have not played with much, but it is a really nice fig flavor that plays really well with the tobaccos here. INW Black for Pipe is here to give the tobaccos a little smoky boost, but also has a nice, dark fruit vibe that blends with the fig really well.

Loving all these tobacco recipes people are posting. Currently vaping a remix of a /u/DarkJester89 recipe from last month's thread.

I've been trying to figure out a use for Am4a for awhile. I wasn't feeling the marble 27 recipe, but this has me super intrigued because Fig. Gotta get some Tobacco C though.

3 points

by ChemicalBurnVictimabout 8 years agoresident tobacco specialist

I've had Am4a for a long time, but I tested it the first time at 5%, and really didn't like it. A few weeks ago I gave it another shot at 2%, and it was much more agreeable. For me, lower is better with that one.

If you want to sub that Tobacco C, I think some HS tobaccos might be pretty good in its place. I'm thinking Turkish, RY1, or USA Red.

2 points

by billgarmsarmyabout 8 years agoMentholatier

> I gave it another shot at 2%

Exactly this. All my testing was at 0.5% - 2%, higher and I hated it. I do like it standalone at 1-1.5%, but I always thought it needed something. I have Turkish and RY1, so I'll give it a go.

2 points

by billgarmsarmyabout 8 years agoMentholatier

After some tinkering, I'm all about this mix:

  • Am4a (INW) @ 0.75%
  • Fig Fresh (FA) @ 2%
  • Hongtashan (TE) @ 1%
  • Indian Tobacco (HS) @ 2%
  • RY2 (HS) @ 1.5%

I doubt it's much like your original mix, but it is very much inspired by it. So, thanks!

3 points

by DarkJester89about 8 years ago

What remix did you pick?

4 points

by billgarmsarmyabout 8 years agoMentholatier

Just me trying to simplify your H1N2 recipe for my tastes:

-Cinnamon Roll (FW) @ 1.5%

-Dark Bean (FA) @ .5%

-Nutty Princess (INW) @ 1.5%

-RY4 Double (TPA) @ 4%

-Tuscan Reserve (Ultimate) (FA) @ 2%

-Vienna Cream (FA) @ 2%

This is my third revision, and what's most amazing to me is every single recipe I've used Dark Bean in, I have HATED. Even at 0.25%, but this one benefits greatly from it. It's not overpowering and I'm not getting any off flavors like I have in the past. I think it has something to do with the Tuscan Reserve. Lately I've been struggling with tasting my RY4-heavy mixes, but this one stays interesting through the entire bottle.

I'm really enjoying this version, and the next iteration will likely drop the RY4D to 3%, but I'm pretty happy with it as is.

Bro, I told you Am4a was good at low %. Gotta pick up some FLV Fig soon. Found your West of Paris recipe and vaped it all morning. Never tried TFA Western at a low %. I really like it.

2 points

by ChemicalBurnVictimabout 8 years agoresident tobacco specialist

Western was another one that I initially tested too high, and then ignored for a long time until I finally tested it lower. I'd like to mix up your Vanilla Dutch, but I've only got 2 of the flavors, and I just got like 25 new flavors over the weekend so I gotta chill on the purchases for a bit. But in the mean time I've got the Assyrian Gold still. Last I checked on it, it was pretty good. Pretty sure INW Latakia is a clone of FA Latakia, but I think it's a bit better. Hopefully this weekend I'll have my Black Cherry for Pipe in and I can mix up Cartagena Captain. I've actually got something planned for the Black Cherry along with Am4a as well. Kinda nervous about the Black Cherry because I'm terrified of vaping cough medicine. But the reviews I've seen have all said it doesn't have a medicinal taste, so I've got my hopes high.

I picked up a few new flavors today. FLV's CT Shade, Kentucky Blend, and Turkish. Also, INW 555, HS Turkish, SC Arabic, INW Vanilla for Pipe, and some more HS Arabic. For some reason Connecticut Shade tasted weird at 2%. Will go lower and report back. SC Arabic is solid as well as HS Turkish. I am really liking Hangsen tobaccos, minus their weakness. The flavor is amazing. Also, I picked up TFA Turkish and the taste test was good. Cant wait to mix it up.

Not sure how you haven't committed to a blueberry flavor yet, maybe you don't like blueberry juice and that's totally fine but I'd highly suggest getting TFA Blueberry extra, its a great flavoring, not perfect but very good. TFA blueberry candy is great for a candyish blueberry, FW blueberry is fantastic but I get more throat hit from it than I would personally like but still use it, FA bilberry I have but have yet to try and is supposed to be a great support flavoring for blueberries. Those are just the ones I have experience with, I hope you decide to try some out soon as they can be great flavorings to have!

I didn't start adding fruits to my collection until very recently. Before a week ago, the only fruits I had were FA Apricot and INW Cactus. Leaving this here for posterity. This is something that I developed and shared with r/mixersclub. If you happen to have the flavors to mix it up, I sure would love some feedback!

[Dune, an Arrakis REMIX] (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/57961)

  • 0.3% FA Cardamom
  • 0.25% FLV Clove
  • 1.75% FLV Cured Tobacco
  • 0.25% FA Honey
  • 0.75% FA Oak Wood
  • 2.5% FLV Red Burley

A woody tobacco mix spiced with clove and cardamom and sweetened with a touch of honey.

This is a remix of one of my favorite juices, Cloud Alchemist Arrakis. It's not really 1:1 but it's very enjoyable. I spent a little time getting the balance the way I wanted so I hope you all enjoy it. I'm looking forward to the feedback.

Thank you to u/hocuskrokus for his Hinterlander recipe. It really opened my eyes to a few things while working on this profile.

Cyanide Christ

.75% FLV Apple Pop

.75% FLV Cantaloupe

.75% FLV Jackfruit

1.25% FLV Mango

1.25% FA Papaya

2% FLV Wild Melon

This recipe tastes more like a base with something that is missing. This is still a work in progress, V12 as of right now, but i've hit a wall and not sure what to throw at it next. My favorite tasting vapes are melons so i've been trying to find the perfect vape for this type of profile without really being sure what that tastes like. I'm not sure where to go with this and i realize this has some very niche flavorings but I designed it that way. I wanted something unique and a melon ADV. I'm being incredibly picky with this. Any advice is appreciated and if you can mix this up let me know what you think.

What is this lacking?

Sweetness

I refuse to settle with using a sweetener and haven't had much luck with apple or pear flavors. I'm at a loss what to use here that could also coincide with a main flavor.

A main flavor

This recipe tastes like a base. It's too mild for me. It needs some brighter top notes to bring it all together.

Flavor Notes

> FLV Cantaloup - I'm pretty sure Cantaloupe and Mango share some similar aromas. This flavor helps bolster the mango while giving it a slight creamy note on the back end. This was added to feed my cream obsession and yet not distract from the goal, juicy melons. This is my all time favorite cantaloupe flavor.

> FLV Mango - This profile is nothing without this flavor. I tried a lot of alliterations without it and they all lack body. The mango helps add body and some exotic top notes. This was added out of necessity. I tried many different melons that all lacked what this brings to the table, body. I have it sitting at about the max without taking over the entire mix, which FLV Mango does if used too high.

> FA Papaya - I'm mainly using this to give the fruit more of a fleshy meaty depth. This flavor was added to bring out some other flavors in this mix that make it less one dimensional. It adds some much needed complexity with the spice note it carries. I didn't want to use any TFA melons for this as they get tiresome incredibly fast to me.

> FLV Jackfruit - This flavor is very interesting. While it may be wonky on its own, here, it helps "ferment" the mango a tad bit by ripening it and making it more authentic. The slight sweetness this flavor has also carries over to help sweeten the entire thing. This was added to bring some much needed sweetness and bolster the over melon profile. This could go higher.

> FLV Wild Melon - All the bottom flavor notes. This gives this profile the backbone to stand on. This isn't too forward of a flavor but really lends a hand at giving the melon some depth. This was used from the start. What is a melon recipe without Wild melon?

> FLV Apple Pop - This flavor was used to help add a skin note along with some sweetness. The profile without it is lacking some sweetness. I personally think this flavor fits here but I could be wrong. This flavor was added out of a lack of imagination. I haven't found anything better as of yet. This flavor would be the first one to go. This recipe needs a top note to blend in with the rest of the mix and simultaneously sweeten. Other apples weren't working for me. It tasted too separated.

I have zero of these flavors, but with your need for some sweetness and brightness, I would choose honey. I have INW Honey which nails that profile for me. I have enjoyed it with tobaccos and melons.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I have only tried FLV Honey Bee for a honey flavor; which wouldn't work. This would definitely be worth picking up if it goes well with melon flavors!

Welcome. I thought it went super well with the TFA melons I have so it should be even better with those nicer melons. Do you have a favorite for cantaloupe, honeydew and papaya?

Edit: I see FLV Cantaloupe is a fav. I'd like to try some melons that are nicer than TFA some day

I have a similar project going on and I am working with those FLV Melons as well. I opted for Pink Guava instead of FA Papaya, but you have Jackfruit so this is a different task. I will note that 2 invaluable assets are INW Cactus and FA Meringue. I would replace the Apple Pop with those if it were me. Cactus can fill some of those spaces in the profile at .75% and FA Meringue should give you that sweetness. I also like my FLV Cantaloupe and Mango a bit higher. Good luck on this endeavour and keep being picky!

by chewymidgetabout 8 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

Thank you so much for your insight. I will rework this soon with some of your suggestions. Pink guava would be an interesting contrast to the rest of the flavors I have listed. I was leaning on going with a Orange Citrus flavor to it and see how it works. 3ish year ago I would vape ketos by liviathan which was TFA papaya as the main note and a citrus Orange flavor, it was interesting enough.

If you want to share juicy melon notes I would be more than happy to. I went as far as to test MF Cantaloupe for this mix hoping for a hail mary.

Choco Cigar

INW Dark Chocolate Tobacco 3%
INW TA Cuban Cigar 2%
INW Dirty Neutral Base 1%
TFA Double Chocolate (clear) 1%

Ever wanted to dip a nice cigar in a chocolate fountain and light it up? Me neither.

This is a dessert tobacco that isn't too sweet. Tobacco Dark Chocolate, TA Cuban Cigar and DNB combine to make a cigar-like tobacco with hints of chocolate. I added the Double Chocolate (clear) to let you really know it has chocolate. I get notes of cocoa powder, Hershey's syrup and regular chocolate. Let me know if this recipe helps you win over the Michelle Pfeiffer in your life.

Blueberry vanilla cookie

I just made this today so I only have a shake and vape opinion so far. I combined /u/EdibleMalfunction 's Holy Trinity of blueberries with /u/ID10-T 's CAP sugar cookie CAP vanilla custard combo and I'm pleasantly surprised. A beautifully orchestrated blueberry combo (which I take no credit for whatsoever) behind a delicious spot on vanilla sugar cookie. ID10-T's cookie recipe said 8% and 4% but I cut in half because I didn't want 17% flavoring.

Oh yeah. That looks softer on the blueberry overall but a ton of different flavors going on for the cookie.

I usually only make small flavor orders and haven't been a "bakery" fan in awhile. But the sugar cookie custard combo sounded too good to pass up, and I love blueberry in general.

Haven't posted anything in too long. To be completely honest, I've been smoking again because of life's stresses. Even upping the nic hasn't helped, the only thing keeping me from turning to the stinkies everytime is a good ol strawberry and cream.

This recipe is FAR from original, it's more of an amalgamation of the influence two true bosses have had on my creative drive when it comes to mixing. So here it goes...

Shout out to /u/id10t and /u/skiddlzninja for being great sources of inspiration for this simple yet delicious mix.

gotta get riddim

  • TFA Bavarian cream: 3%

  • TFA cheesecake (graham crust): 3%

  • TFA dragonfruit: 1%

  • TFA Strawberry: 4%

  • TFA honeysuckle: 3.5%

I removed the TFA strawberry ripe from skiddlz god milk because not only can I not taste it, I figured the extra Ethyl Maltol would add too much sweetness and muddle everything for me. Then I have to thank id10t for longing, otherwise I wouldn't have realized the true potential of TFA honeysuckle when paired with creams.

Thanks for letting me rip off your og recipes to make something of my own, you glorious fuckboys.

Strawberry Milk

Those who just want a straightforward simple strawberry and cream profile without any twists might want to try this. The combination of INW shisha/FA red touch/JF sweet strawberry I got from ID10-T in this thread and it works wonderfully IMO. Dragonfruit pushes the strawberry even further forward in the already pretty light cream/milk mix. CAP SS is optional, you'll be fine without it if you so prefer.

Edit: Took out the 1% of tfa dragonfruit as I felt it was not necessary.

INW Shisha Strawberry 3%

FA Red Touch 2%

JF Strawberry Sweet 1%

FA Cream Fresh 1%

FA Marshmallow 0.75%

FA Meringue 1%

CAP Vanilla Custard 0.75%

Eclipse - Bombies Black Out City Clone

Blackout City starts with a frosty inhale, and finishes with a tart blueberry limoncello.

My version is similar, although I am replacing the menthol with FA Polar Blast, as it conveys the icy profile without doing any detriment to the other flavors.

The Holy Trinity was the obvious inclusion here. It brings the freshest of blueberries into the fold.

Lemon Sicily at a higher percentage than normally used is the perfect, spot-on Limoncello flavor.

  • FA Bilberry 0.5%

  • FW Blueberry 3.0%

  • TFA Blueberry Extra 4.0%

  • FA Lemon Sicily 4.0%

  • FA Polar Blast 0.75%

Frost Bite Remix

4% TFA Pineapple

1.5% CAP Golden Pineapple

2% FA Cantaloupe

0.75% TFA Honeydew

1% TFA Watermelon

1.5% Menthol (I use FA Arctic Winter)

0.5% TFA Koolada

This is most definitely not a 1-1 clone, but rather my version (that tastes better imo). I would guess that the original Frost Bite from Naked100 contains only CAP Golden Pineapple, based on the taste from what I remember, but I haven't had the actual juice in months. I love TPA Pineapple so much though, so I had to use it in this recipe. I also think the original juice contains either WS-23 or Axiom Icicles (or a different cooling agent than what I have) but I haven't used either one as of yet so I can't say for sure. However, I can say that this rendition of the juice is very refreshing and delicious. It's definitely the most popular liquid that I sell to my friends so far. Shake and vape certified. I actually think that this juice tastes better fresh (<1 week) as the koolada and menthol tend to mute other flavors after a longer steep.

*edit: I typically mix at 70/30 at 5mg.

I've been pretty quiet around here, so thought I'd share something I've enjoyed over the last couple months. Adjustments are needed but as with any recipe perpetual usage lends to the ability to determine the necessary tweaks. This is the fourth iteration of this flavor for me, and it's good enough to where everybody who tries it asks me to make some for them. An overused flavor profile, but nonetheless different from commercially available juice.

Strawberry Cheesecake (80VG/20PG, mixed @ 3mg)

  • 4% Strawberry Shisha (INW)
  • 3% Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TFA)
  • 1.5% Custard (INW)
  • 0.5% Sweetener (TFA)

Notes: Not much to say here, the cheesecake element is very light and the INW custard adds a creamy, buttery aftertaste. I still smoke from time-to-time which may explain the need for a high amount of strawberry shisha, a flavor some regard as being very strong. Potential improvements could be made by reducing the amount of strawberry shisha slightly, switching to a combo of Cap NY Cheesecake and INW biscuit, adding a small amount of Flavorah cream to add more creaminess and/or swapping the sweetener for marshmallow (I always find TFA marshmallow mutes flavors however). I'll post updates as I find improvements.

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone involved in this community and others for providing starting points and tasting notes that have been immensely helpful over my years of mixing. Cheers!

Juicy Dawg

Although I'm not a fan of real grapefruit (unless it's ruby red with vodka), I discovered that I love it as an e-liquid flavor. This is a fairly strong flavor -- I specifically mixed it for using in an Icare because the flavor from those tend to be a little muted; this has so far become my favorite conceal & carry vape. If you try this in an RDA be forewarned, it's got a good amount of pucker power to it. If you like cool vapes you could add 0.5 - 1.0% Koolada or similar menthol.

FLV Pink Guava 3.00%

Cran'orange bundt cake

*FW Yellow Cake @2.5%

*FLV Pound Cake @1.5%

*FLV Cranberry @1.75

*TFA Orange cream @1.5%

*CAP Sweet Tangerine @.5%

*LA CCI @1.75%

*FLV Frosting @.7%

This is a flavor profile I chased quite a bit last year but could never get something I was happy with, but revisiting now with more experience I was finally able to get what I I was chasing, a bundt cake with cranberry cooked into it and a orange cream icing. With fall coming up this is one of those classic flavor combo's that I love come this time of year so I was really happy to get this ready for fall this year.

FW Yellow Cake/FLV pound cake

Straight up FW yellow cake is still the best around, and the texture just wouldn't come together perfectly with JF or CAP. You can use JF in the same % if you really want to, but it won't be as good. I love combining the Yellow cake with FLV pound cake for the texture it brings, and that slight off note I've heard some people describe as anise doesn't come off as anise to me, but more so the cooked, caramelized edges of a cake that really makes it stands out and sells the idea of a bundt cake with more cooked surface area.

FLV cranberry

This is the perfect cranberry to me if you want a cooked cranberry in my mind. It's sweet, mildly juices, and enough tart to still come off as cranberry. It's on odd flavor in that it can get lost easy with some flavors or it can over power others just depending on what it's paired with, but this % brings it to the balance in the cake I was looking for.

TFA orange cream/CAP sweet Tangerine/LA CCI/FLV Frosting

These all come together to make the orange sweet cream icing. The TFA orange cream and CCI is the main base for it, the CCI brings a super sweet icing flavor with just a slight tang, and when mixing with the TFA orange cream get's us almost all the way there, but the TFA alone lacks some of the sweet orange punch from the icing. CAP Sweet tangerine reminds me a lot of an orange juice type flavor, and just a small amount really boosts the orange sweetness like you get making a real icing with sugar and orange juice, then the FLV frosting just bumps up the density of the icing separating it from the cake so instead of getting a creamy cake you get an cake topped with icing and you catch it more on the exhale.

This one needs at least 10 days steeping for the bite of the oranges to calm down and the creams to mingle the way they should, but it really hits strides around 2 weeks.

It's an interesting one. Not spicy really. I think it would be a good one for /u/concreteriver to try because when it comes to picking out different spices, I'm pretty useless. Probably not much help, but here's my note that I wrote when I tested:

Hot Spice- definitely not a base or single flavor for me. Tastes more like chemicals than spices. Might work with something, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Has a cooling sensation on the back of the throat as well. Not super cool, but it's there. After a month the chemical taste is gone and the spices have come out to play. No clue what spices they are. Could probably find a place for this somewhere. Definitely sub 1%.

Edit: worth noting that I tested this at 2%. Yikes.

So I've been trying to clone TBD Liquids Peach Dragon Tea, but it's been many months since I had it and I don't remember exactly what it tasted like. Still, I'm liking what I came up with. Funny thing is, I just looked at their website and it says "Sweet Peaches w/ Crisp Dragon Fruit in Green Tea." Oops, going from memory I'd have sworn it was black tea. Oh well, here's my attempt. I've been looking for a good flavour to match with one of my favourites - FA Pineapple. And it seems like I've finally found one - TFA Juicy Pineapple. So I tried some different concentrations, and I came up with this:

  • TFA Pineapple (Juicy) @ 3%
  • FA Passionfruit @ 1.5%
  • SRV Cryoboost @ 0.4%
  • FA CitrusMix @ 0.2%
  • TFA Sour @ 0.15%

Recommended steep: 14 days. It is decent as S&V, but the Passionfruit really stars to shine after two weeks. Before that it's just a decent pineapple vape.

For the last few months, I've had trouble staying on one juice for longer than 50-60ml, but I've already vaped 120ml of this, and I've got 250ml steeping.

If anyone has any ideas for improvement, I'm open to suggestions!

Yikes.

I love blueberry and I’m committed to utilizing the holy trinity of blueberries to make as many amazing blueberry juices as I can. Here’s my version of Steam Factory’s Blue Ballz. I used to love this juice and I haven’t had it in around two years but the following tastes fairly identical to how I remember it.

Bleu Balls

TFA Blueberry Extra - 3% FA Blueberry - 2% FA Bilberry - 0.5% LA Banana Cream - 5%

New mixer here, just starting to attempt my own recipes. More looking for suggestions and feedback on percentages instead of sharing the recipe for others to vape (but mix it up if you want, but beware, im a noob recipe maker).

So anyways, i did a bunch of flavor note research and FOTW research while attempting to put together this concept. It has quite a few flavors in it but im gonna work on slimming it down once my first batch has steeped. So far this first batch is tasting quite nice, pretty sweet but with a nice orange flavor. Gonna wait about two weeks to make my final decision on what i want to change moving forward to v1.2

Notes:

  • FW Blood Orange: Obvious why i chose this one, to give the mix its nice orange flavoring note.
  • CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl: Mainly added this one to give a bit of cinnamon notes, i never really got much bakery notes from this when i have used it in the past, but figured it would add to the mix anyways. This is also my only cinnamon flavor atm
  • FLV Cream - To add some richness and body to the cream notes
  • Creme Brulee - One of the main notes, to give the creme brulee flavor note.
  • Lemon Sicily - Love this flavoring, added a little bit to hopefully give my citrus notes a bit more complexity. This flavoring also has some nice smooth cream notes that i hope will add to the overall cream notes in this mix.
  • Super Sweet: Optional, and probably not needed now that i have tasted this mix. Going to remove it next time and see how it goes.
  • Vanilla Custard V1: Using this one to add to the thick cream notes of a creme brulee, also wanted to give this mix more of an eggy creamyness vs a milky creamyness.
  • Vanilla Shisha: To add a bit more vanilla note to the mix. I love vanilla in my bakerys and creams.

Blood Diamond [Blood Orange Creme Brluee] (WIP v1.0)

Ingredient|% :---|---: Blood Orange (Natural) (FW)|1.50 Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP)|1.50 Cream (Flavorah)|1.00 Creme Brulee (INAWERA)|1.50 Lemon Sicily (FA)|0.75 Super Sweet (CAP)|0.50 Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)|3.00 Vanilla Shisha (INAWERA)|1.00

Blueberry Creamsicle

Ingredient|% :---|---: Bilberry (FA)|0.50 Blueberry (FW)|2.25 Blueberry Extra (TPA)|3.25 Holy Vanilla (DIYFS)|2.50 Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA)|0.25 Marshmallow (TPA)|1.00 Super Sweet (CAP)|0.25 Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)|3.00 WS-23 30%|0.75 Flavor total|13.75% 3 Day Steep|

Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!

Tasted like alcoholic feces as a SNV, and I almost gave up on it instantly. However, the blueberries in this rapidly steep into something magical. If you love blueberry juices and you love vanilla creams, you can't go wrong.

The CAP Super Sweet is personal preference, and the WS-23 30% solution is just my cooling agent of choice to bring out the coldness of the ice cream. Both are 100% optional.

Feel free to play around with the percentages of the TPA and FW blueberries as well. Maybe bring each of them down 0.25-0.5%. I just want an in your face blueberry on this one.

I wanted to add some tartness to the blueberries, so that's where Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) comes into play. It's just what I had on hand. Replace it with a Lemon Sicily if you have that, or just leave the lime/lemon out of it entirely. It's up to you.

2.5% may look like a lot of DIYFS Holy Vanilla, but trust me, it just works here. I've heard you can sub out the DIYFS Holy Vanilla for INW Shisha Vanilla at about 1.5%, but I would highly discourage that. HV is just plain prophetic. Buy some ASAP if you haven't tried it. I personally find VBIC pretty lackluster overall, but HV changes everything for me.

Full credit to /u/EdibleMalfunction for the Holy Trinity of Blueberry, and to /u/xGRANITEx for the HV/VBIC ice cream base.

I'm still pretty much an absolute beginner at DIY at just about a month and a half experience. Any advice on how to alter and/or improve upon this recipe would be more than appreciated.

I'll definitely whip this up, just need to re-up on the FA Whipped Cream. Here's something I made a while back if you want to try something similar.

DIYFS Banana Nut Cluster 2.5%.

JF RY4 Double 4%.

TFA Kentucky Bourbon 1%.

TFA Toasted Marshmallow 1%.

CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream 1.25% OR FLV Cream 0.75%

Strawberries and Marshmallow Fluff

There's about a billion strawberry and cream recipes out there but this has become my go-to. All the flavors are actually from VapeWild.com and are surprisingly good. I mix pretty flavor heavy (~20%) so feel free to tone it down if you like lighter flavors.

  • VW Strawberry - 10%
  • VW Whipped Cream - 5%
  • VW Milk - 3%
  • VW Marshmallow - 2%

Tastes great as a shake-and-vape recipe and only gets better as it steeps. Tastes almost exactly like Milk Man, but creamier and without the coil gunking side effects or sweeteners. I make 60ml at a time and that seems to be just about perfect.

OMG WTF (clone)

(TFA) strawberry 9%

(FA) Kiwi 5%

(TFA) Strawberry ripe 2%

(TFA) Bavarian Cream 1 drop per 10ml

I've been mixing and remixing all week and I think I finally found it peeps! I know that 16% is pretty high for my usual mix too but I started at 10% and it wasn't until 16% that I really got that juicy flavor that made your mouth water. If you guys have any tips I'd love to hear them!

Between 16-infinity percent sounds pretty spot on for commerical juice. 16-30% flavoring, 3-90000% sucralose.

I.E. Jam Monster.

Also, I might not totally understand percentages. 🙃🙃🙃

Yeah I tried some Charlies chalk dust for and adv and it gave me a stomach ache and gunked my coils.. Stoked to have some tastey juice with no sucralose.

hey thanks for trying to correct that mess lol i made a the latest version http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1851229/Banger%20V5%28Pistachio%20Fruit%20Medley%20Custard%29

which is what i'm gonna be going with probably still thinking of adding fw butter pecan in it and maybe some hazelnut as well for more nuttiness maybe even some almond not sure about those nuts yet but what do you think?

1 points

by jessethatguyabout 8 years ago

Be light with any hazelnut percentage wise. I made that mistake once. I haven't messed with butter pecan. But I think a small amount of hazelnut might bring that nuttiness out more. It looks like a good mix. Let me know how it goes.

Biscuits and Jam: by Boogenshizzle

Biscuit (INAWERA) 1.80%

Butter (FA) 0.10%

Cookie (Biscotto) (FA) 1.00%

Cream Fresh (FA) 1.00%

Joy (FA) 0.30%

Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA) 5.00%

Strawberry Shisha (INAWERA) 3.00%

Vienna Cream (FA) 0.50%

Well I wanted a Biscuits and Jam recipe.

Started with the Biscuit. strong but not 100% strong so 1.8% Needed more butter so FA Butter: .1% (yes it comes through on the steep) Then it needed more inner texture, but not too sweet of one so biscotto at 1% for that extra cookie/bready/texture. You won't really notice it other than "hey this biscuit has layers". Added some joy for a little extra breadyness and that minor sweetness it has mixes with:

The inside... I chose the shisha for it's jammy qualities (3%) but felt it needed a little more realistic strawberry to help it out so 5% ripe. Throw in a little vienna and cream fresh for that sweetness and (believe it or not the vienna helps the biscuit here because it is naturally "fluffy") you have a biscuits and jam.

LEPRECHAUN MILK I've been working on a mix for a few months now to replicate Leprechaun Milk by Tug Lyfe.

I've ended up with something that's similar, but with a little different flavour than the original. I'm not a fan of over sweet blends but I'm loving this.

I'm vaping with 3% nicotine, here's my final mix using FA flavours, all in a PG base and my nicotine in a VG base 73mg. This should get you 100ml.

4.17 ml Nicotine, 73mg VG Base 74.83 ml VG 1ml Blackberry 8ml Lucky Leprechaun Cereal 6ml Marshmallow 4ml Dairy Milk 2ml Bavarian Cream

Enjoy!

Say that 5 times fast. Anyway, what are the brands and percentages for the flavors?

1 points

by Flamerukabout 8 years ago

The Flavour Apprentice is what I used. Find TFA a little weak so I always use a bit more. Above makes 100ml so ml = %. E.g. 6ml = 6%
