Wow. I decided to unearth my oldest bottle of nic from the freezer. Freezer storage in amber glass bottles with poly cone caps and minimal head space is definitely the way to go.
So is LDPE really that bad for long term storage (even in the freezer)?
My 4 year old MFS nic is identical to OPs in color.
5 years ago, I made the firm decision between storing in plastic, colorless glass or amber glass. I went with colorless glass boston bottles.
The main reason is so that I could keep a good eye on the color change.
I figure that they're in the dark 99% of the time., so using amber glass was not necessary.
OP, I recommend grabbing some clear (colorless) glass boston bottles, and transferring your nic over. Something about storing liquids in plastic long term kind of worries me. Wouldn't want anything leeching into your nic.
Also, just a note, PG100% I think probably helps. Most horror stories Ive read regarding nic storage have involved VG nic.

My nic is in glass. As far as clear glass is concerned, being able to see degradation wouldn't really matter. It's not like I'm going to vape more just to use up oxidizing nicotine.
A follow up question here is, how is the bottle filled? Oxygen is bad, if your LDPE is bottled in an oxygen free envirement is that better then rebottling to a glass container at home?
Last time I saw a glass amber bottle.... it was not clear... maybe we are not sure what amber is.... amber is a color, that bottle is a Boston round if I'm not mistaken... did you transfer to that bottle? Sort of confused now...
+1 that is NOT an "amber bottle". Like not even close.
I have to assume /u/FACE_MEAT actually stored the nicotine concentrate in actual glass amber bottles and transferred to this clear LDPE boston round to show us how the nicotine did not deteriorate or discolor over the 3.5 years. Since that would be kinda hard to see in the other bottle.
The careful storage outlined leads me to believe they know what they are doing. ;-)
