Greetings all I was hoping I could get some clarification about nicotine salts.
I have been DIY juice for almost 4 years now so I am no stranger to the process however I recently tried a JUUL and its pods and instantly got hooked. There is something about the way the nicotine salt juice hits that is so much more satisfying than conventional freebase nicotine IMHO of course.
I am strictly a MTL guy so I want to at least attempt / try to make juice similar to JUUL. However, I wont be using it with a juul, I will be using with a Billetbox DNA60 with exocet + KF5 MTL reducer.
Therefore I dont really need to care about the VG / PG ratio that much since I know the JUUL pods are picky about the viscosity of the liquid.
Now, I am all set to purchase nicotine salts from nude nicotine. Probably the "hit" version since I like throat hit.
My question is for the past few years, nicotine was extremely cheap to me since regularly I would mix up 16mg nic juice. I think a 250ML bottle from vaperstek lasted me almost 2 years.
However with nic salts, since I want that same JUUL feel, I will have to mix around 50MG nicotine. Considering nicotine salt is already kind of expensive, and nowI have to use more of it per mix, it doesnt seem so cost effective to me. Is anyone here that strictly DIY nic salts, is it expensive for you? How often do you find yourself purchasing new nicotine bottles?

I haven't used a lot of nic salts but from the few mixes I've done I've found you need to roughly double what you would use with freebase.
For example, in my Kayfun Mini I'd usually vape 12mg and in that atty 20-24mg is about right for NN's Signature Salts.
I haven't used one but from what I've seen the Juul doesn't put out a whole lot of vapour - it looks similar to the amount from older clearos where 24mg would be about right - so 50mg in salts.
I could care less about clouds, all I care about is flavor and the nicotine bite / feeling that the JUUL has created so well. I prefer almost zero airflow, to be honest even the JUUL is too open for me. Im going to buy a bottle of nude nicotine "hit" salts and experiment a bit with it.
You won’t get the same hit as a juul with nudes hit. Give it a shot and let us know what you think. I’ve been using my own nicsalt base with u/hashslingingslashur s mixes and it’s fantastic. With the KF5 with reducer try 30mg to start. Take it from there.

That's my best so far. Juul Mint clone. I use 70% VG-Smooth salts and 30% PG-Hit for my nic base. Mix it at 60vg/40pg final ratio. The FA Flash is very important to recreate that special hit of the Juul, but it must steep a week.
I tried a juul for the first time today. Its not the nic salts its crack. Its all I can think about now
I use salts now, but not in high nic devices. I use them in place of regular freebase
I followed /u/ediblemalfunction 's advice and used it as normal in my juice. I mixed it at 3mg and it's a lot better. In a normal MTL device (kayfun etc) I wouldn't mix it at 50mg.. if you mix at 6mg normally, mix at 6mg with the nic salts too (likewise if you vape a 10mg, just try a 10mg mix first) just my two cents. It's not too much more expensive that way in all honesty. If time is an issue don't order from NN, it may take a month or two to get to you. I would order someone else Nic salts and order a sampler from NN and see if you notice a difference before waiting all that time on NN.
Just to let you know, when ordering from nude nicotine, they make it when you order.... But sometimes it seems they forget, and a week later when I remind them, then the tracking number they give you the next day after order will start working. I know liquid nicotine wholesalers, and nic river both has salts, but not in multiple versions.
