Sure, no alarm bells going off, though you might want to consider some diversity in size. I regularly use maybe 10-20 bottles of 10 ml size for testing, a few 30 ml and the odd 100 ml for the tried and true at home, plus a few 15-30 ml unicorn bottles if I need to carry some with me.

I haven't really delved into this, but lemon and citric acid is probably as close as you'll get. TFA Citrus Punch won't knock your socks off, but it's a good start. I stopped using heavy lemon when I realized it was messing with the o-rings and can even crack plastic tanks.

Is is sitting flat on a hard surface, any debris that could make it slightly wobbly? Any chance of a wind draft? These scales are ridiculously sensitive, they can detect a grain of sand, but it shouldn't behave like that.

Try running through the calibration function again (like you did when first setting it up) using the two included weights and see if that helps. Mine does this "bouncing" sometimes too, but goes back to zero with either another tare button press or just waiting a few seconds. I've been mixing on mine for about a month.

Actually, typing this response makes me think I'll re-calibrate mine before tomorrow's mixing session.

Assuming we're making a new 60mL batch at 50/50 with a target of 18mg nic using 100mg/mL 50/50 nic concentrate, you'd have to add 10.80mL (12.26g) of nicotine concentrate. You already have 60mL of mixed juice so these numbers will be a little off but close enough for our purposes (I believe), meaning it won't be exactly 18mg but damn close.

Fine, but the real question is "how much will this dilute the flavor of the juice" and the answer is around 15.25% (10.80mL of the resulting 70.80mL of liquid is unflavored nicotine concentrate)

To hit the desired nicotine strength / concentration, there's no other way... you have to add the nicotine in the amount required to hit the desired strength. Splitting into smaller bottles won't help, because it is a ratio.

I hope that helps. It depends on the particular flavor of juice but 15% weaker should be vape-able and enjoyable I would imagine.

Just letting you know, VC uses their own flavor manufacturer. So you may get close to their juice, but never achieve a perfect clone. On the other hand, you may also come up with something better. Since that recipe uses it @ 2.5%, I'd use 1% Meringue, 1% Butter Cream, and 0.5% Greek Yogurt. CCI has that bit of butyric acid taste, and the yogurt should do that, with the Butter Cream and Meringue for texture and sweetness.

try it the easy way of scaling up linearly and if that doesnt work idk. go from there? or start over n find some new percentages. it might help to know what flavors youre tryna scale up

ELR has more recipes because people post a ton of recipes that they haven't even mixed yet. There's more flavors because there's duplicates of many flavors. It's a clusterfuck and a mess. Sure it's useful but it's quality over quantity with ATF. The credit limit makes it so that , in general, you're going to see better recipes on ATF. I've found that on ELR you get 1 good recipe for every 40-50 (maybe even fewer) posted while on ATF you'll get a solid recipe 10-20% of the time

I'm late to the party here, but they both have their advantages. ATF has better recipes and almost no duplicate flavors (they do exist, here is looking at you FA Banana) and a nice chart over flavor percentage uses. ELR on the other hand is filled with absolute trash recipes by people who haven't got the first clue what they are doing, to the point where a lot of the good recipes drown in the filth. You need to figure out how to filter out the nonsense to use that site. Looking at the correct flavor version however, you get a second opinion to ATF on how to use it, and people actually use the flavor notes feature. To sum up, look to ATF for recipes and ELR for flavor notes. Use both to find an average flavor percentage.

As for other sites, there is DIYorDIE, but I think most of that content is behind a paywall. Check out their Youtube channel though, lots of great information by some of the most valued members of this community there. And of course there are lots of other forums and random sites that carry recipes and ideas. If you can track them down, HIC's (Head In Clouds) notes on FlavourArt concentrates are a gem. And there has been a few new homepage projects announced in this sub, stick around and you'll bump into them eventually.

Most of the flavors on ELR are duplicates. ATF takes away the option of users adding flavors to the site's database in lieu of a standardized list that the actual flavor manufacturers make.

Now take this small change, imagine how much that cleans up the list of flavors(like removing 20 different TFA strawberry listings, each with their own typo), and apply that to ELR as a whole.

Those of us who prefer and pay for ATF just like to have a neat, organized database for our recipes and flavors, with more realistic ratings on those recipes, as ATF doesn't allow free(see: multiple fake) accounts to submit ratings on recipes.

I don't know that I would refer to all recipes with good ratings on ELR as "famous." Regardless, yes you should make sure to shake everything when you are mixing. Also, don't make large batches unless you know you are going to like it.

It's fine, go ahead and vape it. The reason everything should be shaken is that things tend to separate over time. If you've just received your supplies, this might have happened to some small degree to some of your concentrates but it's not something you would notice. Same with the nic. It's just a good habit to get into to prevent bad experiences and ruined concentrates.

I am on the same boat except i mixed 400+ml and steeped them for 3 weeks. All are unvapable. I will do everything again once i get more flavorings and a calibration weight. I will let you know how things go this time

100 mg/ml is still freely available here in Sweden until the end of the year. Polish Chemnovatic only ships 100 mg/ml B2B now, 20 mg/ml is the only consumer option. Other than that I don't know.

What recipe are you vaping? TFA Strawberry Ripe has ethyl maltol not sucralose, EM doesn't gunk coils.

Some flavors are better as snv, but a vast majority of stuff you will make is going to be world's better after 72+ hours of steeping. Custard/cream/etc needs substantially longer.

Sweetener? Never. EM? Very rarely. I don’t think sweetener is necessary for anyone to use starting out. You need to get to know the flavors first and get away from the sweetener-laden “premium” garbage.

Sweetener isn't something you should worry about as a beginner. I use it fairly often, in very low amounts because I know what it will do to a mix, and I know what my mix needs. Worry more about mastering your flavors, then you can figure out adding sweetener. (I didn't use any sweetener until I was about 2 years into this hobby.)

Inawera and FlavourArt concentrates are several times stronger than TFA, particularly the former. They are a bit more expensive, but still better bang for the buck. And they taste good.

There are more companies with flavors in this range of potency, but what you are talking about would probably require importing iffy chemicals from China.

More concentrated doesn’t mean they are better. You can’t always use the same flavor from a different company and expect good results. Choose based on the flavor, not the brand.

That is perfectly normal. Nic Salts change color very fast, with no impact on flavor.

Hello, your math is correct, you'd go from 100 ml to 140 ml to get 50/50, and you would dilute the 12 mg nic to 8.6 mg/ml in doing so.

Yes, buy PG and VG separately to even it out.

Color change is not indicative of a steep. Do not use that method to judge when a mix is ready.

Search the flavor here and take a look at the average used. Then I usually look through some public recipes to see how others have used it. Should give you a pretty good idea.

You can use one-shots and 100 mg/ml nic with a base (PG/VG) to make juice, you just need a calculator to figure out how much of each and a means of measuring.

As for nic degrading, that is not something that happens over night and you don't lose strength, it just becomes harsh on the throat. Don't worry about it unless you have a huge supply of high quality nic.

Edit: Or are you asking if you can mix the one shots with nic, without adding base? Not sure why you would want to do that.

On the page for the flavor you're looking at it should give you average used in a mix and recommendations with an average used. Just be aware that sometimes ELR has some way off recommendations. Like people using things at 20% that should be used closer to 3%. I usually search through flavor reviews here before looking for anything on ELR.

If you're using ELR, it will tell you how much to add. Just make sure the nic base is set to 100 mg/ml and your target is 3 mg and it will do the math for you.

The flavor reviews page found in the sidebar here is going to be the better resource to help you pick your flavorings. Lots of flavorings work well for solo use (INW Shisha Strawberry, DIYFS Holy Vanilla are just 2 that I like). A lot of work has gone into this section over the last year, make the most of it by reading reading, then read some more:)

First order should also help a bunch. A lot of work went into that too.

For a calculator, both ELR and ATF have nice ones to use. Just be aware that ATF is limited use unless you pay a small fee. Worth every penny tho because it the cost does help keep down on the riff-raff recipes that tend to clog up a free site. And if you want an actual program for a PC, the 3rd one down on the sidebar is hard to beat.

I've noticed differences in viscosity, but NEVER in flavor. Even Humco @ Walmart is just as good as anything else, to me anyhow.

Purity matters, you want USP/EP/BP grade. The source can impart a very slight taste, such as coconut, that you would only detect if you vaped it unflavored. Other than that, as long as it has been stored properly and hasn't expired, there is no discernible difference.

Quality of nicotine however makes a world of difference.

i think you likely have built a tolerance to those flavors.

call it vapors tongue, olfactory fatigue, or watever else you want. plain n simple you: you prolly need some new flavors. flavors are like drugs. the more you consume: the less they hit you (over time). also can be addictive like drugs.

or sometimes the same chemical can have slight different variances in flavor, based on its source (or prolly some other factors that i dont feel like googling).

On top of what bobby said, concentrates tend to separate over time, so you need to shake the bottles before use. If you haven't done so, your experience has also changed over time, even if you haven't noticed it. Some concentrates also lose potency over time. They also degrade if exposed to heat or sunlight. Then when the new shipment arrives, your experience is suddenly reset.

You could also have received batches affected by this from the vendor or they could have been stuck in heat during shipment. Could be a lot of things, but start by treating and using the concentrates right.

Anything that doesn't concern or benefit from the involvement of the whole sub belongs in these threads, in my opinion :)

Anywho, you can assume that everything weighs 1 g/ml, except VG. Pure VG weighs 1.26 g/ml, so a 50/50 mix weighs 1.13 g/ml.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. It doesn't matter what you're using to drop the liquid into a bottle. Use a turkey baster if you're feeling crazy enough. You're mixing by weight so you stop dropping when you get to the weight on your calculator.

the size of the drop doesnt really matter if you have a scale.

1g is 1g. syringes pipettes or a funnel are only really needed for flavors in vials or those without a scale
