Benzoic Acid for DIY Nicotine Salts?

Anyone ever do this? Apparently Juul uses 45mg in every ML of nicotine for their pods. I have a lot of freebase and I want to turn it into salts since freebase is kinda obsolete.

Anyone use it to make their own salts?

I don't see how it is better than nic salts at this point. Maybe I am wrong.

That doesn't mean it's obsolete. Salts are awesome, but few people are using them right now

Is there a reason to choose using it rather than salts? Why do you say few people are using them?
