Hangsen Blueberry Flavor Concentrate
submitted about 8 years ago by nstant404

Hello all, I've recently starting making my own liquids but, I've come across 1 specific flavor that I love which is the Hangsen Blueberry Flavor Concentrate. Thing is, finding that flavor for a reasonable cost seems close to impossible compared to all the other premium flavor concentrates that others use.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any similar Flavor Concentrates to Hangsen Blueberry that closely resemble the same flavor and or a cheaper outlet if there is nothing close to it.

Any and all help/recommendations would help.

I'll use this as my own experiment as well. So far, I've been attempting to clone the specific flavor concentrate and haven't found anyone saying it tastes like any other flavor.

Today I've gone out and purchased 2 Flavors that I believe are some what close: (CAP) Harvest Berry, (FW) Blueberry.

  • (CAP) Harvest Berry: Good berry taste with the floral after note that really hits close to (HS) Blueberry.

  • (FW) Blueberry: To me, acts as a good blueberry filler. Just adding a little bit to the mix seemed to round it out and sweeten the flavor. Most likely doesn't need to be added but I will see in later tests.

Next test will be possibly adding a Blue Raspberry to the Harvest Berry to add the tarty-candy taste to it. So far, I'm thinking (FW) Blue Raspberry or (LB) Blue Raspberry.

Flavors on the back-burner for now

Rainbow Lined Gum-FW

Rainbow Candy-FW

Hard Candy-FW

Boom!-FW

I don't have the answer for you, since I've only tried HS Blueberry in a couple of juices that people have sent me - both were terrific, btw - but maybe /u/goldfish18 does?

/u/nstant404 HS Blueberry is unlike any other blueberry concentrate out there and to be honest, you will waste more time, effort, and money trying to replicate it's taste by combining other concentrates. Here is the link to HS Blueberry at BCF. $6.75 isn't too bad for a 30mL especially since BCF is one of the only places you can buy it at.

Now, you will notice that it is currently out of stock so I highly suggest you enter your email to be notified when it is available. As soon as I get an email saying that it is back in stock, I will give you about 5 minutes to order some before I order it all. Good luck!

After you get more HS Blueberry, mix up my Blue Fuzz recipe :)

/u/goldfish18 BCF is actually the place I get mine as well, Nicotine River actually just added it to there line but still waiting for it to come in stock and see what size options and prices are from them.

As far as the Blue Fuzz recipe, that is the exact reason why I'm trying to mimic a HS Blueberry. That recipe is exactly what I'm making minus the INW Peach and the CAP Super Sweet. Thank you for the heads up tho!!

I think he is in a dark place right now because bcf is sold out. Well wishes for our bud goldfish.

I'm not sure you'll be able to mimic the taste of HS Blueberry 100%. It's a really unique blueberry flavor that seems heavy on the blue and a bit lighter on the berry (in my opinion, at least).

If you're concern is the price of the concentrate, I would recommend purchasing a smaller bottle and try to make it last as long as possible by utilizing it with other blueberry flavors. In one of my recipes, I use HS Blueberry with FW Blueberry at a ratio of 1:4 and I get a fantastic Blueberry flavor. I don't use as much of the Hangsen this way, and I still get the flavor I'm looking for.

That is something I'm keeping in mind as well. As far as trying to mimic the flavor, Harvest Berry literally hit the nail on the head and I'm glad it was one of the first 2 flavors that I had purchased. I'm pretty sure its just missing a tart blue raspberry or one of those Candy flavor enhancers.

Yeah, there's definitely a heavy backend to the flavor. I almost want to call it syrupy, but I don't know how well that describes it. I'd definitely try a candy flavor and maybe a blue slushie would be a good fit.

As much as I dislike Hansen, their blueberry juice is divine. It's what got me started with vaping.

What % have you been using it at, and where are you getting it that makes you think it is too expensive? Also, what other "premium" concentrates are you comparing HS Blueberry potency to?

I've had a handful of HS flavors, and while they are a bit more $ per mL, they also work very well at low percentages unlike most of FLVs over-priced line.

I've been using it at 6% in one of my flavors. Compared to other flavors, 1oz is usually around $3.50 to $4.00 where as HS Blueberry is $6.50

Now, I would like to get like a 4oz bottle of HS Blueberry but no place that I know will sell a 4oz at a deal like most other flavors do. The most I've seen is a 30ml or 1oz for $6.50
