DIYorDIE Charity Mixathon- The Eleventh Hour
submitted about 8 years ago by skiddlzninjaThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

You all may have seen this post earlier this week, but I'm here to let you all know that we're going into our 11th hour of the stream, and donations are dropping off. We need your help to keep us going (mentally) for 4 more hours. All the money goes directly to the Shatterproof Foundation for drug addiction recovery.

We've surpassed our initial goal of $2000, and are now reaching for $4000, but we need your help to do so. So please, if you or someone you has struggled with addiction, tune in. If you have the means to donate, no amount is too small; every cent matters. And in return, get a steady stream of mixing knowledge from about 50 collective years of experience.

###If you want to tune into the stream and cheer us on, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBYKhzgtvrg is where you can find us.

###If you would like to donate without tuning in to the stream, the link is here.

It's amazing that you guys are doing this for such a great cause. I've been sober for two and a half years so this speaks to me personally.

As a side note: "the eleventh hour" is a song about drinking by the band Lamb of God.

I'm using it in the more biblical sense: The Eleventh Hour is a phrase meaning "late in the night " like "burn the midnight oil", taken from a passage in the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard in the King James Bible.

To be fair it’s a song about how drinking is controlling his life. It’s pretty fitting

The irony is I'd need a handful of Oxys and a bottle whiskey to be able to tolerate watching this douchfest.

That's just unnecessary.

I noticed that. It's probably someone from this sub worried about being/already been banned.

100% of the proceeds go to the charity. How is this a bad thing?

Where's the proof it goes 100% (Lot of charities say it's 100% but it's really like 10% or less)
