I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this sub.
submitted about 8 years ago by tehgreatblade

I'd still be paying 25$ a week on a 60ml if it weren't for this sub. I've only had my supplies for about a week and I already have almost 300ml of juice steeping and 100 or so ml of fruity flavors that are ready to go. That's less than half of my supplies gone, and I only spent 35$! You guys are great. I love vaping and I love saving money, for sure.

Shout out to /u/ID10-T for helping all of the noobs that are starting out in the Suggest a Recipe For Me threads. I'm not a very good mixer, but he got the ball rolling for me and many others!

Thank you. I remember when I was a noob posting in those threads and someone helped me out. Except some weeks no one did; those were sad weeks for noob me and so I try to make sure that doesn't happen to anyone now.

Ok now, as my flair suggests, u/ID10-T is mine. don't try and show the love and steal my thunder!

It helps a lot. Picking flavors with /u/ConcreteRiver flavor reviews and getting recipe ideas from you is a great system. There are many other flavor reviewers and recipe helpers that are also fantastic, of course.

second this, ID10-T has been super helpful and endlessly patient and has never failed to message me back when i've asked dumb shit about subbing things. also shoutout to /u/chemicalburnvictim for his tobacco help as well, he's always been a resource of knowledge for me.

/u/chemicalburnvictim helped me out with tobaccos too. I got some INW tobaccos and one SC tobacco in today. I'm trying SC Honey Flue Cured right now. It seems to be a smooth, rich tobacco with loads of authentic (not very floral) honey.

I got mine in yesterday. Black Jack Tobacco seemed to remind me a bit of Gold Ducat. Since you got both, you'll have to let me know if you agree. I didn't really get much licorice from it, but sometimes I think my tastebuds are funny with licorice.

So if you're not tired of it, and seeing the noob love for idiot (who I like, too) just wanna tell you again how much I love London Haze... It's my ADV. Been making it for myself and also one of my brothers, my other brother who just will casually hit other people's setups (but isn't a regular vaper) tasted it the other day and was like "I seriously would buy a setup for this flavor alone". Vaping it right now.

how could I get tired of that? Thank you, im really glad you enjoy it. It's such a different profile than you see generally and what makes it even better, for me, is that it's relatively simple to mix. Good enough to convert a non vaper :)

Thanks !

I love that it's an easy mix too, you just nailed it. It IS that good!

Had to give the props, you're a DIY juice hero in my eyes.

Yeah I just kinda picked up whatever flavors sounded good and I haven't made a flavor that's completely awful yet, which surprised me.

Have you checked out all the flavors website? You can put in what flavors you have and search by what you can make and what you could make if you had +1 or +2 ingredients. Gives you a good idea of what you may want to purchase in the future

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for a recipe index.

Also now that you're making your own juice you'll find out that less is more. Try using less flavoring to obtain the same quality taste.

Yeah I'm already very light handed with my drops... I've noticed capella flavors need a tad more than flavor art or west.

I started a six months ago myself. It can be pretty hit n miss. I'd say about one third of the shit I make is below average. Single flavours that stand alone can be rare but you should try each on on its own I reckon to get a feel for it.

This sub is beyond amazing. With users like /u/ChemicalBurnVictim /u/ID10-T /u/Anthony_Vapes, it becomes easier to learn. I could probably fill this page with users (Cough /u/meatballpoking /u/EdibleMalfunction /u/darksun773 Cough). This sub is simply packed with dope ass people. Honestly, it's my favorite sub on Reddit.

Slashur, ID10T, PerennialPhilisopher, ConcreteRiver, EdibleMalfunction, Philosaphucker, SkiddlzNinja, WhiskeyKing, and a few others that I can't think of right now have all been great. They all respond quickly and have solid advice whenever you're in a pinch.

That reminds me, the white gummy bear recipe gets a pretty muddled after 3-4 weeks, from what I have noticed. It is still good, but I am even more inclined to try it with some INW Pineapple now. I should be mixing tonight, so I will get back to you on it eventually.

I noticed that myself. I made 180mL and broke it into 3 60mL bottles. The 3rd is a bit weird. It's just sweet without a defined profile.

Nice, I'm using nic river right now and I've had nothing but good quality stuff.

by RamboUnchainedabout 8 years agoMixologist

Huh? ConcreteRiver is a fellow mixer lol. Nic River is a vendor.

by tehgreatbladeabout 8 years ago

Oh! Haha, my bad. They seemed like names of vendor sites. Well, I use the search function unlike a lot of people so I honestly can't think of any questions I'd have for a master mixer... Maybe as I get more advanced I will.

Awesome man, I think that's a big reason I'm sure we all got into this plus your not handcuffed with one or two flavors after dropping $25-$50...instead you can follow your creativity. Focusing on flavors has obliterated my urge to even think about smoking which is powerful. As well you run into a lot of good people along the way.

3 points

by tehgreatbladeabout 8 years ago

Yeah it's even harder to want to smoke now that it's even cheaper to vape and it's much more flavorful, shop juices use too much sweetener.

Australian law says you can't sell nicotine, so moved my skinny white-boy ass over to New Zealand to freeze. Set up an ISO clean room to make juice to send back to my Aussie customers who can't be f*'ed manually mixing 100mg juice into juice.

Set up a pretty good DHL shipping service which means I can ship on Monday 2pm, and it'll be at your house in another country by 9am the following day, which is pretty neat.

It's cold, but pretty good, bru.
