Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of July 21, 2017
submitted about 8 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

uhm... ima take an educated guess on the fa banana and suggest:

  • 1-2% FA banana
  • 4-5% FA strawberry

FA kiwi is great. you can then make

  • 4% fa strawberry
  • 2% fa kiwi

then

2% inw custard or 2%+ cap vanilla custard v1 are pretty good solo. i know the latter contains diketones. idk bout the former.

You cld prolly fashion sometype of banana custard outta either of those.

hashslingingslashurs leche de coco on alltheflavors.com is the kitties titties.

I like botboys apple pie v2 on here as well.

ima have to try more of enyawreklaw/diyordie.com 's recipes. (i been on a cloning mission sorry yall)

then the infamous mustard milk is tfa strawberry? (not sure)/vanilla bean ice cream. im sure you could make that work with the fa instead.

0h and coops kiwi cheesecake and/or kiwi bourbon blew tf up.

so many recipes so little time ima start naming mixers to follow on alltheflavors or ELR

/u/skiddlzninja /u/notcharlesmanson /u/tranceinate /u/chemicalburnvictim /u/baphomet /u/T_mace /u/nicobeak /u/vurve /u/id10-T /u/ediblemalfunction /u/PerennialPhilosopher /u/worstadviceROC thedirtyprojector concreteriver idk im prolly missin a lot but dont take it personally ppl.... this is an addiction for me more than a hobby sometimes so i dont check out everyones shit (see cloning mission). oh and also all the mods back when they used to be cool d: kidding

edit: grack juice

No good recipes with just those three. You might like something simple like 5% Strawberry + 1.5% Banana. Or 4% Strawberry + 2% Forest Fruits.

If you like that FA Pineapple, good for you. I can't stand that stuff, if I made a list of 10 worst flavors I've tried out of 500 or so, it would be on there.

If you're open to picking up a few more flavors, here are some recipes using the ones you already have, minus that terrible Pineapple that tastes like green onions grilled over a tire fire.

FA Strawberry: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/6487#strap_on_by_id10_t

FA Forest Fruits: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/7840#berry_creamy_by_cheebasteeba

FA Banana: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/15465#detox_by_philosaphucker

Thanks for the reply/recipes, I'll give them a try.

Yeah i read some people's bad experiences with the pineapple. Fingers crossed.

I'm definitely open to picking up a few more flavours, just don't want to try 500 :) Looks like i need to diversify with some creamy/sweet ones to make most recipes...should have really picked up FA marshmallow or cream when getting those i suppose, it was the DarkStar 40% flash sale on their FA/DA re-brands and didn't get much of a chance to put thought into it.

Have you tried that FW Grape Soda by itself? Try it at 8% standalone. It really doesn't need help being a tasty grape soda flavor. It definitely does not need sweetener, it comes pre-loaded with the stuff.

Try 4% Apricot, 1.5% Peach Juicy, 1.25% Mango, 5% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, 2% Bavarian Cream for a Stone Fruit Ice Cream.

I think you read my mind with peach and ice cream. Sounds delicious thanks a ton. I haven't tried grape yet. Got my first order being delivered today and can't wait to go home and play.
Have a lot of learning to do but this recipe will be my first mix once I'm all organized thanks again!

If you're just trying to save money, find recipes that look good, order the stuff to make those, make them, maybe tinker with them to best fit your personal taste later.

If you're going to start mixing juice for fun, be sure to single-flavor test all of your flavors. I like to do that at various concentrations to try to get a good feel for how they'll work in recipes. And take good notes. You'll be building a solid foundation if you start that right from the first order.

by ID10-Tabout 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

It varies from one ingredient/recipe to another. I recommend trying it as early as you want and if you don't love it, put it away for a few days and try again. Repeat as necessary. It's probably not going to get much better after two weeks though, unless you're mixing custards or tobaccos.

I have so many flavours but I have only found two recipes that I've made and really liked. Right now I'm adding in ~1-3% of flavour into these recipes to add subtle notes but I would LOVE to make and try something new, now that I've accumulated so much.

Thanks to anyone who can come up with something. This thread is an awesome idea.

You need to list the brands

2 points

by CubeXombiabout 8 years ago
CAP Sweet strawberry 5%
CAP Dragonfruit 1%
SC Apricot 1.5%
LA Peach (Colourless) 2%

Is my mix right now, dropping the peach won't destroy what i was going for, I'd maybe up the apricot to 2.5% though.

I was craving a PB vape and made this last night. Really good. I'm sure you can sub in your graham cracker cheesecake.

If you want a peanut butter vape without having to use up so much concentrate try this

  • 1.5% TPA peanut butter

  • 1% TPA marshmallow

  • 1.5% TPA graham cracker clear

TPA marshmallow helps out pb and keeps it from getting weird over a steep
