I've for a good while been obsessed with cucumber based "fresca" style vapes so naturally they rely on a cucumber flavor as part of their profile. My introduction into cucumber was FA's version and it has served me well in many ways. Rarely do I see it placed in recipes that I see published, instead, I see CAPs cucumber dominating these mixes. So naturally, I had to pick some up.
This is less of a detailed flavor review and more of a contrast of the two (based solely on my impressions) but perhaps could prove useful to some of my cucumber loving mixers.
I think one way of understanding these flavors is to make contrasts between the two for a point of reference. I would say up front that they are both solid and accurate cucumber flavors to be sure. So how do they stack up:
Flavor:
Caps Cucumber Pretty round and juicy overall with soft edges and good depth. Certainly nothing offensive or off putting. Vaguely feels like a cucumber that has been marinating in its' own juice with perhaps a slightest touch of citrus. Cons: Not a lot of snap to it. A little mushy if you wanted to be critical of it. Sliced cucumbers in a bowl of their own juice that sat out and were sitting at room temperature perhaps.
FA Cucumber Crisp and sharp with a lot of definition. Kind of cuts through a mix with its sharper profile. Feels dryer and less ripe that Caps. It has a cucumber edge to it that could be viewed as a plus or minus I suppose depending on what your shooting for. Pretty dead on accurate. It reminds me more of a cucumber you just pulled from the fridge and cut a slice and ate it. Cons: A little dry and astringent.
Conclusion
I think both are super useful flavors if you are into this sort of thing. I honestly think they are made for each other in that they bring different aspects of the "fruit-yes fruit you botanists" to the party. The Caps for the body, roundness and the FA to bring some balance with crispness and definition. Of note as well is that FA's is certainly more potent which isn't surprising thus I think a good stone might look like:
Caps Cucumber 2.5%
FA Cucumber 1%
Get some citrus, melons or mints going and maybe a little cactus and voila you are off to the races.
Parting Thoughts
Sometimes I think flavors when contrasted become a which one is better scenario but in this case I honestly think their diversity can make for a beautiful union. They can live apart but they are much better when they're together.

Well said. And thank you for this.
The title made me think this should have been in a NSFW sub. But this is better.
great notes. been meaning to pick up another cucumber flavor to pair with capella's. was thinking of going with real flavors because of some praise I had read about. for the price and accessibility: flavourart seems like the right choice. thank you for confirming that for me.
>~~maybe~~ definitely a little cactus and voila you are off to the races.
FTFY
This cucumber stone seems like a perfect base for some of the cactus-cucumber-floral stuff I have just started playing with. My experiences with these flavors are similar to yours. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Hahahahha perhaps it should have been 2 percent plus cactus and your off to the greatness. Cactus is the nectar that gives life. You had me at cactus-cucumber-floral.....I am awaiting for it....something beautiful and disturbing...thanks for the comment!
If you want to try another awesome cucumber RF SC is right up there with CAPs.
Nice one...I love cucumber taste but can't stand the jellyy textured seedy bit in the middle....one to experiment with then.
I bought some TFA cucumber but unfortunately it smells mostly like cucumber peels, not something i'd use in a juice.
I do Cap Cucumber at 3% with FA Cucumber at 1%. FA is a little more green, peelish. Cap is more refreshing but maybe a bit too sweet?
Yes I think Caps is all around kind of more inviting and a good mixer but a little mushy if your trying to have the cucumber flavor be a primary part of the vape. Good stuff though-I'm enjoying it.
I'm actually working on a cucumber recipe right now and think I might change up the percentages to use more FA to offset the sweetness of other ingredients.
Yeah man I've turned it up as high as 2.5% without it getting weird on me. You could even try like 2% Cap/2% FA and see where that lands....the FA will dominate it but the Cap will still have that thicker sweet body....its almost like layering strawberry and strawberry ripe...
