I started on this DIY journey trying to make a clone/remix of Vapor in a Bottle's Seduction. It was my former ADV and one of the best fruit profiles I have ever tasted. Those were lofty expectations I know. Now that I have about 300 flavors to choose from I realize just how lofty they were.
The description of Seduction on their website says "Get seduced! Fall in love with a sweet, hard candy lemon, lime, raspberry juice. A truly unique flavor that you won't find anywhere else, consisting of the following flavors: Main: Raspberry, Lemon, Lime. Background: Blueberry, strawberry."
I love citrus and I've been working with this flavor profile since I started DIY which has been roughly 10 months. As a new mixer I definitely had my share of disastrous results taking this rocky clone road. One of those involving a painfully crazy percentage of TFA key lime. Lol I sure as hell [didn't know shit] (https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/5944up/weekly_new_mixers_questions_thread_week_of/d9fsjmm). Sorry about being an annoying noob u/wh1skeyk1ng.
I'm a little more experienced now and I would really never ever recommend taking on cloning as your first challenge in mixing. Find and mix a bunch of well known/regarded recipes and learn from your flavors first. You'll save a ton of frustration.
After a few months of trying, I published an awkward remix recipe. It was really nowhere close, overly complicated and far from done. Shortly thereafter I had a few clues from the creator and some eye opening single flavor tests of Inawera concentrates (specifically lime, lemon and raspberry). I put those in the brain bank for later when I had more experience. I was done pursuing this for the moment and needed to compile and learn flavors.
Today I give you what I feel is a 95% clone. The percentages may not be exactly spot on but it's damn close. To me it's really close and definitely delicious and very much "in your face" like the original. I went with all 6 flavors being Inawera because a lot of the small shops that mix house juice usually have one concentrate supplier. After being given a cactus hint by the creator and tasting the lemon and then the lime in there it seemed that it was the case here too probably. Well that and I wanted to see if I could use all Inawera anyway.
If you're a sensitive taster the percentages may need adjusting a little bit for your palate. Sweetener can also be added but I generally only add 1 drop of Capella Super Sweet per 10ml if any.
Cajolery - a Vapor in a Bottle Seduction Clone [ELR] (http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1592962/Cajolery+%255BVapor+in+a+Bottle+Seduction+Clone%255D) [ATF] ( https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/55462#cajolery_a_vapor_in_a_bottle_seduction_clone_by_kindground)
- Blueberry (INAWERA) 0.75%
- Cactus (INAWERA) 1%
- Lemon (INAWERA) 1%
- Lime (INAWERA) 1%
- Raspberry (Malina Koncentrat) (INAWERA) 1%
- Strawberry Shisha (INAWERA) 1.25%
INW Lime and Lemon - In my opinion these 2 concentrates are the very best tangy, candyish versions of these flavors. I'm definitely in love with both of them. INW Lemon is my Frank's Red Hot. The original Seduction is described as a candy and that's what you get here.
INW Cactus - Duh. We need to coax some juiciness out of this citrus candy. Also what fits better with lime than cactus? Aaaaaaannnnnd the guy at Vapor in a Bottle told me so.
INW Raspberry/Strawberry Shisha/Blueberry - These are the berries that are described in the profile. Let's ride the Inawera train all the way then. We know that the Shisha Strawberry is going to turn that flowery Raspberry into something jammy and sweet. The blueberry brings a little bit of je ne sais quoi and is quite sweet itself. Both of these combined bring just enough sweetness to balance the bitterness from the lime and tame that rind note a bit.
TLDR It's citrus and berries. Just mix it. If you like fruits and citrus you'll thank me. Grab your Inawera box and take a journey with me.
EDIT fixed formatting and added links.
Nice, you've gotten some flavors right and you're on the right track. The Cactus is, in my opinion, the part of the mix that makes it taste so good. I won't give any more hints but I will actually mix up your version and let you know what I think.
Edit...one of the flavors that is in the mix I don't have, but will order it soon and get back to you. Keep up the mixing! Also, look in to some FlavorArt and a little bit of TFA. Both of those are in the mix, not so much the main flavors, but there are some background notes that make everything come together. Like I said they aren't the main notes but they are important.
Ha! Nice of you to respond. I really appreciate your input and encouragement. This really scratches that itch for me and is simple enough. I'd be glad to have your thoughts on this mix.
Seduction and your Vanilla Cupcake are two of only 3 juices that I pay for nowadays.
Yeah I actually discovered the website called All The Flavors today and I saw this recipe on the front page when I clicked the Recipe tab. I was like WTF Vapor in a Bottle...what's this! Anyway keep up the good work. I'm glad I've made a juice that is good enough where people are cloning it now.
Im thinking TFA dragonfruit, TFA blueberry wild, FA lemon Sicily, maybe FA strawberry... I remember the OG vaguely. I think they don't use INW lemon or blueberry, especially since INW is discontinuing lemon and that would mean they'd have to change the recipe in the near future.
Good work though this looks tasty. Im happy to see viab commenting. Their super cereal is my absolute jam
Yay I have all those flavors! But I can't imagine how the "spicy" note in INW blueberry sits with citrus. My only success with it so far is to hide it behind cinnamon, and even then there's only so many blueberry cinnamon mixes you can vape before it gets boring. Will give your wip recipe a try tonight though.
I don't get that spicy note from INW blueberry. But I imagine the lemon/lime is over the top of it.
I envy your experience. For me it's about 80/20 spice/blueberry.
After you mentioned it, I did a few searches and it seems like a few people get that but most don't. I get something similar from FW Blueberry that most people don't get. I would just sub your favorite candy blueberry. I used FLV Blueberry in a previous version but I didn't like it as much.
I really appreciate juice makers getting involved in the DIY scene such as Gremlin, and vaporinabottle. That's really cool. I'm going to be buying a couple juices that have been mentioned here like the cupcake one and seduction. I'm also going to mix up your recipe it looks very tasty and right up my alley. Thanks!
I hope you like the recipe. I'd really appreciate some feedback after you've tried it.
VIAB has always been a class act in my book. The juice of the week deal is a steal and their juice is pretty much the best quality juice I've ever paid for. No sweetener. Great flavor. Great customer service. If you can catch them on FOTW grab Seduction, Vanilla Cupcake and Bluebread. A lot of folk love Super Cereal but cereal vapes aren't my thing.
I found this if it helps. Says it's closer to 80/20..does the real juice have an actual hard candy taste or is it more like just sweet fruits?
