TFA Mary Jane - Any tips?

So, being an avid pothead in a legalized state, I thought TFA Mary Jane might be a fun one to play with. I got my bottle of this a while back and thought I would mix this up at 4% as I do for all my TFA flavors off the bat, to taste. At that percentage it tasted like Pushki (Also known sometimes as cow parsnip). It was pretty awful and hurt my mouth. Much like INW Rhubarb at that level. I know now that I need t mix it very low, but I want to know if anyone out there has any experience with this flavoring, and has any tips to share. I hear that a drop of Kona or a drop of Vanilla helps make it taste more realistic. But before I get to adding things, I'm hoping I can figure out a good base percentage to start with. Any suggestions out there? Much like Rhubarb I was thinking around 0.15% or so...

I don't know. That flavor is about as useful as TFA Honey. You won't be pulling any marijuana flavor out of Mary Jane.

Well.. I've managed to harness TFA Honey as well as TFA Guava. Is all in the ppb.

Sounds like it might be okay at low % in tobaccos to add a more grassy note and possibly herbal flavors.

I'd also love to have an "outdoors" flavor. Like petrichor, cedar, pine, maybe the light smokiness of a campfire in the distance, maybe go "spring" with the smell of flowers blooming like walking through wildflower fields in the spring after a midday shower or go the other way for "autumn" like waking up and going for a walk in the woods in morning and inhaling the brisk fall air, leaves on the ground, and remnants of a smoldering campfire from the night before.

No clue how to even approach that one.

Pine needles. It's an interesting taste. It goes with mints and herbals. Cucumber. I need to dig up a recipe...

Someone on here had a Pistachio Custard RY4 mix with MJ in it. It's a bizarre but tasty mix.

I used to vape it all the time with a little FA Zen Garden , i do get the taste of the real thing with it unlike others .

Never had a specific recipe for it but a dash of Grape or Orange worked really well with it.

Bootleg Vapors has some tasty Mary Jane juices that are good and very cheap .

Check out FLV Yakima Hops, I bet you'd like it. Hops and Cannabis share similar terpene profiles so it would play wonderfully in creating a flower flavor or flavor base. It's a great earthy, lightly foral flavor with a bit of a citrusy kick. Use around 0.5%-1.5%; I like 1% for starters.

Edit: I didn't read the whole thing! I have only very briefly used TFA Mary Jane, I would recommend starting at like 0.5% or so with it and using other flavors to accent the mary jane or omit this flavoring entirely.

I use TFA's Mary Jane at 0.5% to knock down the candy-like properties of FA orange and CAP Sweet Tangerine.

Mary Jane is a component in many of the Mad Murdock liquids (Pluid, Agent Orange, etc.).

I wanted to make a Pot brownie flavor as a joke for a friend of mine, but i wanted it to be accurate. I am a medical patient myself and have been smoking for 10+ years, so i know what weed tastes like. TFA mary jane is so far off the mark. it tastes more like a random blend of green spices and foliage.

however i did mix about a half gram of actual dried marijuana trimmings with 30ml of PG and filtered out the plant materiel. I knew from research that THC is not soluble in PG so the amount of THC left would be almost none. but should leave behind some of the terpene's and flavors. It sort of worked. I only let it steep for about a day. I didnt shake the bottle at all. in my basic brownie recipe there was a hint of weedynes, but it was more in the smell than the taste. It also wrecked coils, but i mainly blame the chocolates for that.
