Hey all,
Looking for some inspiration for things I can mix up before heading out on a golf trip with some friends in a few days. It's sure to be super hot out, so naturally something to quell the heat would be awesome.
I mixed up some highly mentholated juice to use since I like menthol, but I was thinking perhaps some fruit mixes or tropical themes would be cool. Any favorites you've mixed up or flavor profiles I should try? I have a lot of flavorings (like most of you) so fire away.
Here's a couple threads I found from searching the sub
Thanks! I tried searching "summer recipes" but that seemed to not be the right keywords.
BRAND| FLAVORING | % ---|---|---- INW | Pear | 3% CAP | Double Apple | 5% INW | Cactus | 1.75% INW | Eucalyptus Mint | Couple Drops CAP | Super Sweet | 0.25% MIX AT | 60VG | 40PG STEEP | SHORT | 1-2 Days
Apple/Pear with some mint, refreshing, crisp. I usually mix up the everything except the mint, and add a couple drops if I want some mint.
That sounds excellent. I do love Cactus and Pear as flavorings in things. I'd have to mess around with different brands of flavorings though, as I don't have most of those (I do have the Mint oddly enough and the cactus, but not everything else). Still, I'll take the flavor profile and maybe give it my own spin.
inw pear is excellent, definitely pick it up when you get the chance
For a "tobacco" that actually tastes a bit like a bud light lime, you could give this a go
ECX Angelica Tobacco- 2%
INW Garuda- 1.5%
INW Tobacco for Camel- 1.5%
ECX Win Churchill- 2%
A bit of Koolada might make it a bit better if you're in to that sort of thing.
I'm a big fan of some FW Jungle Juice at around 10% this time of year. I'll add 1-2% menthol sometimes if I'm feeling frisky
My girlfriend has been sucking down strawberry lemonade and peach lemonade I made her. Myself....I dont go for seasonal, just what I like.
What's your peach lemonade recipe look like? I've been struggling to make one that doesn't taste like peach syrup or (in the case of Juicy Peach) pain.
3% TFA lemon, 4% TFA ripe strawberry, 3% TFA juicy peach, 1% FA arctic blast.
I find that the strawberry balances the peach, and even though the peach is lower %, it is still the dominant flavor. The artic blast finishes the hit with a nice chill.
Edit: I am sure that could be refined, it was my first attempt and she really liked it....so if she is happy Im happy.
2.5% inw cactus
1% fa fuji apple
3.5% fa kiwi
6% tpa straw ripe
1.5% tpa koolada (should probably be lower for normal people, i'm a koolada junkie)
You don't find 2.5% cactus overly flowery? I love cactus as a flavoring but if I go over, say, 2% it starts to become pretty noticeable IMO.
Not really. imo in this recipe cactus is more in the back and just rounds it out. But I rarely find a recipe on the internet which i really like, so I think I might have a little bit of a weird taste. I'd recommend you try it with 2.5% and if it doesn't work for you, try lowering it. Maybe you want to lower the kiwi then a bit too.
I have really been liking my Melon Balls recipe when the weather gets hot.
That looks great! I do love melon flavors. I messed around with FLV Wild Melon a while back and it struck me as a GREAT melon flavoring. I really need to pick up CAP Cucumber since I see it showing up in a lot of these recommended recipes. I just shy away from cucumber since it's not one of my favorite flavors in cooking usually.
What would you suggest as a sub for the INW Natural Mint?
