INW Peanut Tobacco
submitted over 8 years ago by ChemicalBurnVictimresident tobacco specialist

Setup

Narda single 26/32 Clapton .7 ohms, 40 watts

Testing

INW Peanut Tobacco @3% steeped 2 months

Description

Earthy raw peanut. I don't really detect any Acetyl Pyrazine. It's calmed down quite a bit since I first mixed it. The raw peanut taste, while still there, has let a subtle sweetness come through a bit more. To be honest, I preferred it more around 2 weeks old. I have used, and will probably continue to only use this as an accent. It finds its way to the front of a mix pretty easily, so I suggest starting low. I had to back off from 1% down to .5% in one mix because it was all I could taste. So maybe start at .5% and go up from there.

Recommended Pairings

Tobaccos. I've got this in a Burley NET and it's probably my favorite juice right now. Artificial Burley, I'm not too sure about. Maybe FLV Red Burley, but I haven't tried that yet. Should work well with any earthy tobacco though. Probably work in a 555 or RY4 type of mix as well, but it's not going to be your typical sweet dessert type.

Other nuts

Anywhere a peanut would fit. Maybe a sundae recipe? I tried it, but I can't really stand vanilla anymore, so I didn't like it.

Wood/earthy flavors. I use it with FA Oakwood in that Burley NET. Nice combo.

Off Notes

I'd say that the sweetness I'm starting to get from it this far in to the steep is an off note, but it's not really bad. I just really liked it when it didn't have any sweetness.

Notes

It's called Peanut Tobacco, but I don't really get the Tobacco part. I think it's a good friend to tobaccos, but you'll need to add a Tobacco to the mix. Although maybe that creeping sweetness could possibly taste like a sweet Virginia or Flue Cured, I still wouldn't rely on it to carry the tobacco note. It's more peanut than anything.

Nice review. I really want to get into tobaccos but I know that's just another rabbit hole that I'm not ready for in regards to time or money. Thanks, keep it up!

It's definitely been a time and money trap. I've tried a bunch of them, but I still have this feeling that "the one" is still out there. The closest I think I've come to it is a mix of NETs and synthetic flavors. Which is a whole other rabbit hole in itself. Cheaper, but much more time. The struggle.

Where'd you get it? Thanks for the review, looks like something that's right up my alley. I just got a bottle of INW Tobacco Symphony, that's a bit like a nut-inspired RY4 flavor if anything, and this sounds like it might mix well with it.

The peanut's "raw" taste - something akin to Flavorah's Peanut Butter, as opposed to a Reese's PB-candy-ish-taste?

Curiosity is piqued.

I got it from ECX. Vaperstek also carries it. I actually did a mix with Tobacco Symphony. It probably would have been good if I didn't add FA Cinnamon Ceylon (I don't know what I was thinking.)

I can't compare to FLV PB, but it's definitely not a Reese's. I'd imagine if you were to crack open some raw peanuts from the shell and sniff them, that's what it tastes like.
