Damn. Shipping would cost us more than it's worth lol. I might just cop 5 gallons when I run out of the 2 gallons I have right now.

NR is $55 shipped for 5 gallons and Bulk Apothecary is around there w/ the $10 off codes floating around.

Does it matter where the vg was derived from?I see they have soy & palm derived. Is one better than the other? Also does vg goe bad? It would take me about 2 years to go through this much vg.

If you store it properly it should last at least two years. Also most people prefer palm based VG, but the reasoning is usually something about taste AFAIK.

Total comes out to be just at $70 after shipping.

$17.50 for a gallon isn't a bad deal. Almost half off what amazon charges for a Glycube, $29.97.

That's with both codes?

Yup, both codes.

They run this deal a lot and not very many people jump on it because of the high cost of shipping.

The shipping, and wtf am I going to do with 4 gallons. Take a bath in it? A single gallon last long enough to justify buying one at a time.

Yeah I still have a ton left after last time I ordered the cube, but I thought I would share the deals with the community. If I remember correctly, the price last time was about the same.

Same code should work on [all these products] (http://www.essentialdepot.com/category/4-GALLONS-PG-VG.html).

I ordered 3 VG and 1 PG and the codes worked.

Just ordered 4 gallons. I have half a gallon left from the last time I ordered from them. I love their VG.

And soy gives you man boobs.

Phytoestrogens are the ones in soy, and they do not have the binding affinity, chirality, or markers on them to do the work of estrogen. Besides that, testosterone is converted to estrogen through aromatization in fat cells and as a result there's always a little in your body. Testosterone vastly outweighs it though (2 orders of magnitude) and your cells would need to be bathed in it and deprived of testosterone before you would even begin to develop estrogen receptors inside your cells, without which all the estrogen in the world won't make a bit of difference. Additionally, that's just one more component of the original plant that is removed during preparation and you should expect phytoestrogens in your glycerine as much as you should expect steaks in a milk jug.

Haha this is great. My original post was obviously said in jest.

I hope you're being facetious, since that claim isn't backed by any current medical science. In fact studies going back to 2004 have shown the contrary to be true.

The plant estrogens found in soy are weak, as are most plant estrogrens and have not been shown to cause "man boobs" (gynecomastia).

I was able to find one case from 2008 where a patient with gynecomastia claimed it to be the result of soy intake. After finding no other determining factors his doctors did further interviews. It was revealed during those interviews that his diet consisted of consuming 3 quarts of soy milk per day.

He was also 60 years old, and while the paper didn't mention his testosterone, it is not uncommon for men to have lower than normal levels in old age (dropping approx 1% per year after 30 years of age).

So at a time when his testosterone was presumably its lowest (due to age) he was consuming a large quantity of albeit weakened estrone and estradiol. Combine those two factors, and well, I'll let you do the math.

If you were just being silly, perhaps reconsider the jokes you make. There is already enough false information out there to vilify the vaping community. We don't need more people adding fuel to the fire with unsubstantiated claims of undesirable effects.

Actually there a lot of women with cancer staying away from soy derived anything specifically because of this. One of which is my wife.

Their cancer is fed by "estro" hormones.

I'm sorry to hear that your wife has cancer, :(

To the point above, I'm not disputing/commenting about that specific potential problem with soy. I was taking issue with the claim of it causing gynecomastia in men, a claim that science has so far disproved.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Even after the codes ( $43.18 ), shipping costs more then half ( $25.91 )

Cheaper at NR. 5 gallson for $54.99 vs 4 gallons for $69.09

1 points

by PerennialPhilosopherover 8 years ago

Can you make some of those PG? Or it has to be all VG?

by 5twentyover 8 years ago

Does it matter? They are cheaper at NR when you factor in EDs typical expensive shipping charges. I wish they would do something about that as I've been buying from them for years, and it seems to get steeper every time. I've resorted to buying from them on Amazon to skirt it.
