Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of June 16, 2017
submitted over 8 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

Welcome to DIY!

One week. You can shake and vape it but I don't recommend that. Vanilla Swirl is like a flower that blossoms if you give it a week. I hope you enjoy it! It's kind of weird - TFA Dragonfruit is usually used around 1% as an emulsifying and fruit-enhancing additive. My whole goal with that recipe was to make a weirdly high amount of dragonfruit taste as good as I possibly could using very common ingredients. I love the result, but have actually been very surprised that it's been so well-received by others.

tbh was not a fan of any of the "milks" on ATF especially none of the strawberry ones...

Try INW Grapefruit 0.75%, INW Cactus 0.25%, TFA Juicy Peach 3%, TFA Dragonfruit 1%, 0.25% TFA Koolada. Just a refreshing fruit mix for summer.

Have you already tried Mustard Milk and Simple Sugar Cookie?

If you're in the mood for a rich vanilla custard, try 6% CAP Vanilla Custard, 3% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, 2% TFA Bavarian Cream, 1% CAP Sugar Cookie, 1% TFA Sweet Cream.

Thank you! I haven't tried most of the flavours I listed because Canada Post still has them, they should be here by tomorrow so I'm trying to collect recipes to put together then. Currently I have a peanut butter caramel, marshmellow almond, and caramel I made up last week. Peanut butter caramel turned out the best.

What can i get out of that ?

FA Cream Fresh

FA Vienna Cream

FA Catalan Cream

Cap Vanilla Cust V1

TFA Strawberry Ripe

TFA Marshmallow

FA Forest Mix

I was thinking of using all that in one recipe at lower % Just to get a mix of nice creamy custard and Strawberry/Berry. Do you think too much in one recipe ? Generally speaking all of that share only 2 profiles Strawberry Creamy Custard but not sure if that will work.

This is just a quick idea thinking out loud.

Ingredient|% :---|---: Catalan Cream (FA)|0.5 Cream Fresh (FA)|1 Forest Mix (Forest Fruit) (FA)|1 Marshmallow (TPA)|1 Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)|5 Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)|3 Vienna Cream (FA)|0.5

Your idea looks good to me with the exception of Catalan Cream, it has a spice note that might not work well with the strawberry.

I actually tried all of that and it seems like cap vanilla custard taste like chemical to me every single time with whatever even at 1% oh boy it just taste so bad lol

Did you try steeping it?

Any recommendations? I generally like unusual stuff and strong flavors. Something to vape in the hot days we're currently having would be great.

Have you seen this recipe? You're missing the INW Shisha Lemon but you could try replacing it with 1.5% FA Lemon Sicily or 1.5% FLV Lemon Tea.

Yeh, I did actually make that a few weeks ago with the lemon tea instead of the Shisha Lemon, I'm sure he's changed it to Shisha Lemon since as I bought the flavors specifically for the recipe as it was at the time.
