Howdy, mixers!
I guess we'll keep doing these. /u/Randizel is the MVP of the May Monthly Clone Challenge will be contacted about a small prize for sharing, in a "first post after lurking for ages," their reason for starting DIY. Though, HocusKrokus and Tamachicken are obviously close runners-up.
The purpose behind this monthly clone challenge is to gather the community behind an effort to clone just one juice.
The subject of this month's challenge is Bananas Foster by Golden State Vapor, which is described as "A delicious replication of the famous dessert Bananas Foster. A tantalizing authentic banana complimented by a brown sugar glaze made from brown sugar, spiced rum, cinnamon, and butter." This was requested by /u/MarioModGuy, who calls it "one of the best juices I have ever vaped" and notes that they "must use tpa bananas foster as a base, because it smells so identical."
A reminder from the previous clone challenge posts: You are perfectly welcome to completely ignore the cloning aspect of this challenge and just consider the juice description as a prompt to create a recipe all your own with that profile.
In this case, that would be Bananas Foster. If you've never had Bananas Foster, I recommend a trip to New Orleans.
Please respond with recipes for Bananas Foster by Golden State Vapor, ideas about how to start an attempt to clone that flavor, your own delicious Bananas Foster recipe, general thoughts about having a monthly clone challenge, hate mail, love letters, lewd artwork, dirty limericks, comments, questions, concerns, anything remotely on topic. Thank you. Love you all.
The only thing you got right is super sweet, but it's only .75%. We don't use any TPA Bananas Foster or any other variant of Bananas Foster just to let you guys know. I found them to be a little bland and lack the richness and depth of flavor I was looking for. I'm excited to see what you guys come up with :)
I got something right! There's a first time for everything.
CAP Vanilla Custard
FA
TFA
FW Banana
FA Jamaican Rum
CAP Graham Cracker
CAP Super Sweet
Pretty sure on these. The first FA looks like it should be Vanilla Tahity, which could fit. The TFA might be Ripe Banana, Pie Crust, or Ry4 Double. It's probably the Ripe Banana, but the Ry4 would be an interesting choice.
I have about 15ml of this juice left, if anyone would like I could get out a few people a 5ml or so sample, so long as you are willing to help out. Personally, don't much care for it, too cloying for me, and gunks coils worse than the time I got beard oil and vape juice confused.
(For the record I don't have a beard, it was my ex ol lady's...ex)
It's super awesome of you to offer. I'd take you up on it but one clone at a time is my limit right now and I'm still stuck on Milk of The Poppy.
Speaking of that, I made a strawberry/banana cream recipe last week, and the cream base seemed eerily familiar to what I remember of MOtP.
FW Bavarian Cream-2.5%
FA Almond-0.75%
FW Hazelnut-2.5%
CAP VC v2-3%
TFA Kentucky Bourbon-0.3%
Now I know that looks funny, and I ain't no expert, but it's sure as shit good to me, and had that malty thing going on. May not be MOtP, but maybe can spark and idea for ya? For some reason I'm not enjoying VCV1 in anything this last month... Well, it was topfuckinnotch in my Red Velvet brownies I baked @3am lol.
There's something darkly sweet in there and I can't figure out what it is. I know the custard part is CAP VC V2. Maybe it has one of these other flavors in it and that thing I'm picking up as almost like a brown sugar or caramel note has to do with the way one of these other ingredients interacts with VC V2? I'll add them to the list.
I'd be willing to try that juice and give this challenge a real go. Can cover shipping
Did that sample make it alright? Did 5ml= 5 coils? Lol
While I'm talking to myself, I think it has DIYFS Banana Nut Cluster in it. In fact, I believe they prominently use DIYFS in their juices.
You think the hint thegoldenstatevapor posted above is a trick to throw us off the trail?
Well, I happen to have access to some very advanced image reconstruction technology, but that feels wrong here. I like those guys, and don't want to forgo the lesson just to past the test. I see some Fresh Cream, some v2, and some FW Hazelnut I think. CAP Super Sweet. But that's just with my eyes.

I think you are spot on with Tahiti and route needing to come up. Didn't do Much that low in my opinion. I didn't think about the app thing ;) good call.
The auto mod issuing a strong warning to the mod....I don't know why but that cracks me up!
Thank you so much for picking my request! I'm really excited to see what comes from this
I'm excited, too, but I didn't really pick it.
I just look back over the previous month's Clone Request Thread and pick one by looking first for the top-voted request, but skipping over requests for multiple clones. I also look for a request that has gone unanswered or, as best I can tell, inadequately answered.
I am super interested in this profile. I haven't had the original so I can't be any help there, but if I were making a banana foster's mix, I would start with banana flambe by solubarome or even wonder flavour banana puree, both excellent cooked banana flavors.
Have you had an actual Bananas Foster? I've had a juice with that WF Banana Puree in it. That was some good stuff for sure. The Flambe sounds like a better fit for the profile, though, although I haven't tasted it to know.
