The biggest DIY site in Canada has flavours that have a RF in front of it (i. e. Rf Capella's sweet strawberry), as well as the original. I contacted what the RF stood for. They said it's "reduced flash", as to allow safer travel in airplanes. She told me they reduced the amount of ethyl alcohol in the product.
Anyone else have these options? And if so, how drastic is the difference?
I ordered Capella sweet strawberry (reduced flash version) without realizing Months ago, tastes great to me. Wondering if original is that much better?
Ethyl alcohol is the easiest and most efficient way to dilute concentrates while maintaining its flavor strength as well shelf live, when you remove this diluent you'd have to re-formulate the flavor to maintain it's flavor profile and strength, but unfortunately this is not the case with the all the Capela's RF versions.
Sounds like they just left it open. Probably a bit weaker than normal. Will need more info for proper analysis.
We've actually got some ourselves. It is an official new 'version' that seems to taste just the same at least to us. Haven't done a whole lot of testing with it yet though.
I'm probably gonna order the regular versions anyways since I go through it a lot and I'll compare and post results
