Hey guys, I don't have long to deal with this issue so I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place.
I've been mixing with nicotine and bases from darkstar (UK) for awhile now and got a litre bottle of 72mg from them to help deal with TPD. However, I just got in ready to start rebottling it into smaller amber bottles and it's a lot pinker than the nicotine I've had before.

Is this an issue? Or is it not dark enough to cause any problems? I mix between 3 and 18mg, so it's pretty key to a decent vape.
As far as I know, pink color means it has been topped of with a gas (Nitrogen or CO2 ?) so that there is no oxygen in the bottle.
So it is more a sign of quality packaging. Others use argon (I think) that does not cause a color change. But in any way, pink is no problem .:)
Interesting- not had it this dark before and I've emailed them with pictures and they have offered to replace it, so I doubt it's any of that. I'll be sending it back to them for a replacement, will be interesting to see what it looks like this time around.
They might not need it back. I got 500ml from them just before the TPD and ordered it in VG. They sent it in PG by mistake. I took a pic of the bottle and my invoice and sent it to them as proof. They sent out the correct bottle right away and told me to keep the PG nic as an apology!
This happened to my bottle of Carolina Xtracts. I called the company and it's because it was the last batch extracted that day, and they let it sit in the tank with nitrogen overnight before bottling. That said it's perfectly normal and wouldn't affect the nicotine (it didn't).
Is it VG based? I think it's a reaction between the VG and nitrogen.
For whatever it's worth, most of the nic I've gotten has been slightly darker in color like yours. I usually buy 100mg/ml nic for reference. I know there's something about nicotine oxidizing and changing color, but I'm not well informed enough to give you any factual info on this. I've never had any issues before with darker nicotine and I've been mixing for years.
I'd really suggest you decant some into a smaller clear glass bottle and then check the colour. I use 100mg/ml PG and VG nic, and none were as dark as yours.
Some of mine has had a slight tinge of colour, and once decanted was clear.
Just tried that- can't even get the bloody lid off. When I finally get the child proofing teeth to catch, it won't budge. I give up, they can have it back.
