I need to avoid PG and I want to go flavorless; straight VG works for me and I'm only really doing this as a cigarette alternative / quitting method. I find VG tastes sweet when vaped and I enjoy it.
I'd like to cut the 100% VG so it's less viscous and wicks correctly in my RTA. I plan on using distilled water as a cut.
If I start with 250ml VG nicotine base, how much distilled water should be mixed?
Will the nicotine base be shelf-stable with the water mix? 250ml will last me about six to nine months and will be stored in an amber glass bottle. Or should I mix as I go?
PDO is an option for a PG replacement , ive never used it but aparently it has the same viscosity.
PDO is sweet - kindof a floral sweetness (I find PG to be more of a bread-like sugary sweetness). I much prefer it to PG, but It will not be flavorless.
I suggest you mix as you go as the water is the first thing to grow bacteria.. Also how much water added will largely depend on your coils and tank.. I would start with maybe 3-5 drops in a 10mil and go from there .. remember you can always add more but never less .. hope this helps...
For coil saving - sometimes I'm just REALLY lazy and don't wanna change 'em - I often use from 90/10 to 95/5 6mg VG nic and distilled water. I vary my mix to the kinds of clouds desired, but I will warn you; eventually spending money on flavored ejuice felt excessively extravagant.
I've been vaping flavorless for a while. I mix 95% VG and 5% distilled water and it works well. I have yet to have any ill effects from mixes with distilled water. There is no need to mix large batches since there is no need to steep the mix.
I sometimes add some Medicine Flower flavor at 0.5% to 1.0% for a change. (This I pre-steep at 10% in VG)
I stay away from the PG and the artificial flavors.
