Shout out someone else's underappreciated recipe
submitted over 8 years ago by Kincadian

So we all know about Rhodonite and JTJM's Shurb. I am interested to hear recipes you absolutely love but maybe haven't really got that much attention from the community.

I don't know if "Tman621" is even on Reddit but this Key Lime Pie Bites recipe is absolutely awesome. It is the only juice I always have on hand and I haven't gotten sick of vaping it yet. (which is saying something). It has a lovely lime tang on the inhale and a beautiful cheesecake texture on the exhale. Everyone I have given it to has said "Wow!"

I am sure I stole this recipe from someone on this forum but searching hasn't come up with the author, sorry! I didn't like Ry4 at any % and had nearly given up on it when I tried this recipe recorded in my notebook as "Ry4 V2".

FA Caramel 1%

CAP Graham Cracker 2%

TPA Ry4 Double 5%

No one ever picks this as a "tobacco" recipe but everyone loves this as a cinnamon caramel vape. I am now experimenting with a drop of FLV Rich cinnamon. Divine exhale. Needs 3 weeks+ steep

EDIT: Thanks for the replies I cant taste strawberry though :}

I'm going to mix up two versions of this when I get home. One at half percentage and another at full. 20% just seems a bit much and everything looks like it would still work at 10% total.

Half percentage is really great. The full percentage is great as well.

Setup: O-Atty, 8 wraps, 24g kanthal, .75 ohm, 20 watts.

Key Lime Pie Bites: Side by side the two juices are almost identical. The one at full percentage was a bit overwhelming with the graham cracker crust so high. Key Lime is the main note. Nice and pronounced. I'm saving the 1/2 flavoring recipe on my ATF for personal use. It is delicious.

Edit: It reminds me of a premium I used to vape. I had to dig through old bottles to find it Naked Fish's Great White. I was a pretty solid Key Lime Pie, also heavy on the Graham Crust.

I can attest that the half percentage works well. Just mixed it up and its pretty tasty.

I realize this is a few days old--just leaving a comment for anyone who searches and is looking for further feedback.

Agree with you on the percentages although I added 1 percent of fa lime Tahiti to the key lime and found it gives a more rounded flavour to the lime. I'm guessing the real test now is to wait and see if the lime holds and doesn't fade as in most recipes using lime.

Very old one, i think it was called "TigerBlood"

  • 7% Strawberry TFA
  • 3% Bavarian Cream TFA
  • 0.5% Coconut Extra TFA

Very tasty, and in my rotation for nearly 3 years, i sometimes add 1% of Dragonfruit TFA to mix things up a bit. I cannot find the original post.

And /u/nicobeak made a delicious mango, called
Mangobase

  • 5% Sweet Mango CAP
  • 0.5% Mango Inawera
  • 0.5% Cactus Inawera

Man, I used to slam Tiger's Blood shaved ice at the state fair when I was a kid. Definitely going to have to check these out. Managed to get quite a bit of juice for cheap, so it will be a bit before I DIY...

I dont think the flavour is based on the shaved ice flavour but rather on this.

Interesting. The shaved ice syrup is a combo of strawberry or cherry + white coconut.

I've given this recipe a shoutout in a similar thread/convo on here before.

The flavor profile itself is nothing really mind blowing - some strawberry with a sort-of fried bread flavor. About what you'd expect from the ingredients.

What really makes this recipe shine is the level of flavouring. Just enough to cover the PG/VG/nic taste but it still has character. You could probably vape this flavour all week and not get vapor's tongue, and being super low flavouring it takes a while to get bored of it as well. It's the sort of recipe that will make you think that all your other low flavoured recipes are actually over-flavoured. Bonus points for the recipe having ingredients that most mixers have on hand these days. Original recipe says shake and vape but I found it needs a week or so for the joy to chill out a bit.

23 by /u/umpquastl

3.0% TFA Strawberry

1.4% FA Joy

1.0% FA Meringue

0.2% INW Biscuit

EDIT: I mix this at 70/30PG, 3mg and use in DtL devices. It may need some tweaking if you plan to use it MtL.

I was going to make a similar thread about "Sweet Strawberry Clove" I just made on ATF. Wonderful! Edit, it wasn't MY recipe, someone else's I found that blew me away.

i would like to give 10/5 stars to these recipes: banana split and sweet guava goodness

found both at ATF. it's hard to stop vaping these juices

How do you think I would go subbing TPA banana cream for the LA?

1 points

by dom1ngaover 8 years agoOne of "The Damned"

i don't know. i prefer LA BC and don't like TFA BC. they smell and taste differently. if you will get LA BC you will be able to try 'nana revised it worth to have this flavour in flavours stash. i'm not a huge fan of banana flavour, but i like these recipes. much more compared to popular Bombies 'nana cream

mb i wrong, but i suspect that TFA BC mutes e-juice after some period of steeping.

Not my personal recipe but a clone of one of my favorite companies.

Humble juice company's "Donkey Kahn" clone

(TPA) banana cream 7%

(TPA) dragon fruit 6%

(TPA) strawberry 8%

I've mixed and vaped this recipe, but find it better after at least a week steep time. By far my favorite recipe, and my co-workers buy it so much that i have trouble keeping enough on hand. By far my favorite ADV.

Possible to use sweet Strawberry by capella in your recipe?

1 points

by Max7049over 8 years ago

I say yes, but personally haven't tried it. With banana cream really being the main note you taste in this flavor, IMO the different strawberry flavors shouldn't change it too much. Could also be completely wrong. But if you decide to try it write back and let me know, I'm interested.

This is a (nearly) all FA gem that I stumbled on when I'd just got some FA Pear and was scanning through the recipe list on ELR. Didn't have the 0.5 INW Pear but it's still very good without it. What they've done with just a small amount of FA Vienna Cream + Fresh cream in this for the 'small dollop of ice cream" is shrewd. Terrific recipe.
