Kite in Cloud AMA - Plus link to the monthly Recipe thread
submitted over 8 years ago by kirktBring on the Diacetyl, baby

###AMA is now over - please do not post any more top-level questions or comments.

Thread will remain unlocked so discussion can continue.

OK - Kite In Cloud (Bobby and Ann) have agreed to do an AMA on our sub. Not sure how long they want it to last, but they want to start now, so here it goes. Ask away for all you want to know about recipe development, being an e-juice retailer, etc.

Since we only have two stickies, here's the June Recipe Thread.

Thanks to Bobby and Ann for giving us some insight into the commercial realm of our hobby!

Hello everyone!

A brief note (I'd appreciate if this could stay upvoted near the top to help others craft questions):

I’ve had a very difficult time communicating my thoughts over the last six months. I know that statement is a bit loaded and can be interpreted in a lot of different ways, but it’s the best I can do without bumming anyone out. Please bear with me as (depending on your question) it might take me an hour to reply with a sentence or a minute to reply with an essay. If there is a long delay in me answering your question, it’s me not you baby. <3

Since there wasn’t any advance warning (and because I am a vampire), I will be here all night unless something unforeseen happens.

What I’m most excited talking about:

Methodology Business Abstraction Working backwards Products I admire, rather than I create. Branding

What I’m least excited talking about:

Flavor notes The flavor industry (this company vs. that company)

What I will not talk about:

Anything negative about anyone or any company in our industry.

I was interested in doing some small-time sales to support my diy hobby, but I've been hesitant, since I've seen many fail to gain any traction. With that said:

What was the most effective way to get your name/product recognized initially?

And, do you think it's possible to do it again, considering industry saturation (but without regard to the pending regulation)?

I like to work backwards:

> And, do you think it's possible to do it again, considering industry saturation (but without regard to the pending regulation)?

If it weren't for the regulations, I believe the market at this moment is curved perfectly for unique offerings. I will come back to expand and answer the rest of your questions!

I was starting to reply to /u/ChemicalBurnVictim about tobacco development and needed to preface with background on diet and understanding how you taste. I'm going to post it as a top level comment as it will widely apply as I start to answer more DIY related topics.

Here is a self assessment of how I taste. I challenge every DIYer to take some time aside and try to make a list like this. Paint a picture with things that stand out in your life.

  • I've been drinking black coffee every day for the past 25 or so years.
  • I am a former long-time menthol smoker. Kool 100s.
  • I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years, the first 5 or so vegan but having to introduce eggs into my diet for health reasons.
  • As a vegetarian, a large portion of my diet (when I have the time to eat healthy) ranges from Middle Eastern to Indian and primarily all forms of East Asian.*
  • I cannot tolerate western use of heavy spice (Mexican primarily, but anything jalapeño/pepper based in a westernized way). Spicy garlic sauce, curries, etc. is how I get spicy.
  • I can enjoy very bland dishes, but I cannot enjoy something over flavored.
  • My favorite cereal is Grape Nuts.
  • My favorite sandwich is peanut butter and dill pickle on wheat bread.
  • Some of my favorite meals are Thai and Vietnamese.
  • I have never had any experience, interest, talent, or desire to do anything culinary. I abhor cooking.

*A strong indicator of how my diet might play a strong role in how I taste is from messages we have received from quite a few first/second generation Asian Americans about Lenola Cream. The general sentiment is that it reminded them of candies they grew up on, and it was very nostalgic for them. I don't remember a time where I have ever tried any Asian candy, let alone it having any type of impact the development of Lenola Cream (aside from how my diet could play a role in my liquid development).

Making a list like above is a very useful tool for any DIYer to self-assess. It can help you understand some of the more abstract concepts of development. This is especially crucial for anyone entering the commercial market or anyone with aspirations to. It will more easily allow you to create exceptional profiles that you might not personally care for or ever want to vape. This applies to several of Kite in Cloud's flavors. 😮

This is a great comment. I feel the same way about FA Nonnas Cake and FA Marzipan. I grew up eating all sorts of cookies that tasted just like those flavors. It's almost as if those flavors send a signal to my brain that makes me remember my childhood.

FA Marzipan. <3

This is the type of flavor that works wonderfully for more abstract methods of development. I do not know why it gives me a similar nostalgic feel, since I was not raised in a household where there was frequent cooking or family recipes that often evoke those emotions in people. <3

Man, they'll let anybody here nowadays.

All jokes aside, Reddit is actually how I got connected with Bobby, after being a huge fan of Lenola for a couple of years. Bobby, Ann, Autumn, & the rest of the KIC crew are some of the most amazing, genuine people in this industry, and an absolute pleasure to do business with. The quality & innovation in their products, the love for their customers, the love of vaping...this is what makes KIC a standard-bearer for liquid brands.

Now that I got that out of the way...PRY4 or Tripoli?

I just scanned for some easier questions, and then this came up. I'm going to tackle it now as it will be the hardest for me to type. Tackling the hard things first can sometimes speed up the easier things.

Ann and I have always naturally been private people. This was the case when I fell in love with her on my first day in college, to reconnecting 15 years later. Just like everyone, we've gone through some hell. We've always just handled it ourselves.

This industry has given us more dear friends than we ever thought we would have. I'm not talking bout acquaintances. I'm talking about dear loved ones.

As soon as HCV finished a the process of taking over manufacturing of all 8 of our flavors, our personal lives fell apart. I don't want to be morbid, but there has been a lot of death and sickness surrounding us and including us. And it all happened at the same time.

If HCV didn't exist, KIC would not exist now. The reason is twofold:

  1. HCV invested an incredible amount of money and resources into taking us onboard. The amount of SKUs was a little insane and ramped up at light speed by the best in the business. Within a week of this finishing, I had to become a caregiver full-time. Things only got worse from there. If HCV had not shown so much faith in us, we physically wouldn't have been able to continue the business with the same philosophy (or even continue at all).

  2. You and Protzman are some of the most amazing individuals Ann and I have ever met. We love you dearly, and the love and patience you return back is... well it's the heart of who you are.

PRY4 after the Envii came out. There are two perfect closed system combos that I've tried. Castle Long Reserve in the Cync (I am blessed to have Brian Walters in my life as well) and PRY4 in the Envii.

I need to take a short break now, but I promise I will focus on some more DIY topics when I come back. <3

I recently got into DIY to scratch an itch . . . to make juices that aren't readily available thanks to market tendencies and the looming regulations. For me that is mostly floral vapes. I quit smoking using a honeysuckle juice made at a small b&m (now closed) in my hometown but moved away from it as vaping products began to become widely available and new flavors flooded the market. So many connections are formed between scent and taste and memory . . . I just needed to make something that took me back to that beginning . . . and farther back to springs at my grandmother's sucking honeysuckle juice out of the flowers on dewy mornings. /u/ID10-T created and wrote a beautiful description of one such juice (Longing) that spoke to me. All of that to say, what inspires you to create juices, whether commercially or for self-satisfaction? Is it a certain memory . . . or epiphany . . . something in between? Thanks for everything that you do! Speaking of taste and memory . . . I remember my first order of Lenola Cream . . . the brief, poignant email exchange . . . the anticipation of arrival . . . and utter bliss of my first taste. Each time I vape Lenola Cream, I remember all of that. Thank you so much for wonderful memories!

Edit . . . saw that my question was answered in your reply to /u/sc0lm00. Thanks again for doing this insightful AMA . . . love, peace, and blessings for you and yours!

Since I answered your question in another comment, I'll elucidate a bit more on it:

  • Cliche, but true: If I am in the process of crafting (eliquid, our website, etc.) and there is a deadline I get very manic during the process. I will work for 24 hours straight and be constantly irritable because I feel like my technical ability can't keep up with how fast my mind races. I type pretty fast because of this, so writing is my favorite medium. It is also where I have the most technical training.

  • This has naturally inclined me to abstract art, post-modern literature, and a large part of my musical taste that most people consider noise. After I understand structure and order, I immediately lose interest in structure and order. So after the reasearch phase (which I enjoy), the structure and order need to be deleted immediately for me to actually create.

  • This problem was severe when I first started DIYing (and I even started with weight!). Ann thrives on process and repetitive detailed tasks. As a social worker, she had to document (in handwriting) constantly. She will write notes (lengthy and personalized if the person has written back to us) for 8 hours straight without complaining about her wrist hurting. So I have rarely actually mixed anything. Like I said in an earlier reply, I smell things and write numbers down.

How hard do you laugh at the various attempts at cloning Lenola Cream?

by KiteinCloudover 8 years ago

Ok, clones!

I'm going to phrase this very carefully so Ann doesn't break my nose. Ann is a life-long social worker. I am a life-long entrepreneur. I absolutely adore reading every clone recipe.

Ann is very protective of me, and the amount of time I spent developing Lenola Cream had a big impact on her. She also isn't a DIY hobbyist. She is the spine of the company. She is the one that works 20 hours a day despite suffering from some health conditions that would cripple most. She is not involved much in "the industry", meaning things like the clone aspect of DIY didn't resonate with her at first. She's old-school cool. If it isn't original, if someone like Milo isn't screaming it, then what's the point? So when I explained the concept to her of cloning liquids, she looked at it more as BOBBY DID SOMETHING ORIGINAL STEP OFF. It took some time for her exposure of the industry to understand that cloning is a learning tool. I never tried to clone a recipe or even mix someone else's recipe when I started in DIY so she was never exposed to that - I learn differently. She now finds it incredibly flattering, and as the one who mixed Lenola Cream for years she has a great appreciation for the nuance involved.

As far as the clones. It's absolutely amazing how INCREDIBLY far off base some ingredients are that seem like they are the most obvious. I am primarily talking about anything fruit-based. The progressions started getting better on some of the more nuanced notes, but then the the most obvious ones started heading in an even more incorrect direction! I find it fascinating.

A bit late to the party but here goes..

i agree with those clone attempts being way off track.. and those i have is way off as well.. i do think i can pick out some of the flavours but when putting them in a mix it gets nowhere near the real thing.. thats why i thought about making a lenola cream clone post for note comparison.. i have every respect and admiration for you guys and the recipe and im not sure if it would be out of bounce with you guys if we where to disect LC.. would you be cool with it?

Also is there a plan in the works to work around the TPD and getting you're liquids to europe again?

Also what is your favorite band / album?

Thanks for everything and being here

I had a very nice exchange with someone on reddit via private message regarding posting their clone of Lenola. This person was just as thoughtful as you about not wanting to upset us. It is incredibly heartening. It will take me some time to dig through my PMs, as I remember trying to return a message just as thoughtful. I'd like to find that, but short answer is: Go at it! Have fun!

It is about intention.

If someone's intention is to have fun, save money, learn, etc. it is beautiful.

If someone's intention is to try to capitalize on our hard work financially, it is less so.

Music will be posted in a another response to /u/Civinsko (happy cake day!).

/u/prettymatthew will be around regarding the details of TPD, but the news is good.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and thoughtfulness. <3

The first is an awesome illustration that our good friend Michael Howard did for us.

The second is from when we (along with some local B&Ms) bought tickets to A Billion Lives for anyone who wanted to attend. There was a minimum order quantity on tickets that needed to be sold for a local showing in Savannah, so we bought that amount to assure it would happen.

I've been meaning to hop in on these threads again, but didn't want to get too into the details. Basically, there are a few steps to full TPD/MHRA acceptance, and we are through the worst of it. Now it's just logistical and administrative stuff, so it should progress fairly quickly. Then it's into production and getting to all of KIC's fans in the EU and the U.K.!

How much for the recipie for lenola cream if I sign an NDA?

What is the one flavor you always wanted but could never quite perfect?

What is your inspiration for the unique and crazy concoctions you've released?

Aliens or Predator?

Hey you!

I can't find a decent reddit app for the IPad Pro, so I hope my formatting for multi-part questions shows up ok for everyone.

> How much for the recipie for lenola cream if I sign an NDA?

How did Brexit affect the exchange rate on Schrute bucks?

>What is the one flavor you always wanted but could never quite perfect?

Tobacco. My personal taste gravitates there. So let's say J Mascis is your idol guitar player and you want to learn an instrument and start a band. You can go two routes:

  1. You can obsessively focus on learning his style, knowing that your admiration is stronger than your ability.

  2. Learn to play bass like Mike Watt.

>What is your inspiration for the unique and crazy concoctions you've released?

I'm having trouble with these types of questions. Could you be more specific?

>Aliens or Predator?

Alien~~s~~

Do you approach tobaccos the same way you approach anything else? One appeal of tobaccos to me is that, even if they don't taste like real tobacco, they don't really have a real life equivalent. It's kind of all abstract and maybe a hair of winging it. You can't really say "this flavor is called Oriental and this one is Latakia, so I'll mix them and call it a Balkan." Maybe I'm rambling. I tried to clear up my question, and I've deleted about 15 sentences, but I'm not sure it's very clear what I'm asking.

Right in the feels. I can only imagine how amazing a tobacco would be from KiC.

> Could you be more specific?

Your flavors would arguably considered Master Chef quality delicacies if translated into food. However, there seems to be no tangible replication of them, as in they're entirely original tastes and flavors. Do you start off with an imagined flavor goal as inspiration when creating or do you take something tangible but seek to expand upon it into another realm?

12 points

by KiteinCloudover 8 years ago

Ah yes! This could be a massive topic unto itself.

I never have a final vision in mind. I never try to replicate something I've eaten. I've never tasted Kuri Kinton (K into N base) or Skolebrod (Cardamom custard buns that serve as the base for Corde Du Roi). I'm not a foodie, and my mind doesn't work that way. The most brief description of my methodology without creating a separate post about it is this:

  • I completely ignore each component flavoring's intention. I don't care what it is called, and I don't care what it is supposed to taste like. To me, FA Custard isn't custard. It is an aroma. That is starting point one.

  • I play Roullette. Both figuratively and literally. Roullette is my favorite game to play to lose all of my poker winnings. I play Roullette a little odd I think too. I enjoy spreading the chips in an abstract pattern and then seeing if I hit. I only play certain numbers if I'm with someone who is superstitious for their sake. So I play Roullette with flavors. Depending on what stage of development I'm in, I will take 3-5 random flavors out of the cabinet blindly. I will take the caps off and smell them together. If something seems interesting, that is either an inception or an iteration of a previous inception.

  • Research some LITERAL BASIC LEVEL chemistry to understand why the components of each aroma are pleasant with each other. This helps keep you grounded as you continue abstraction and refine.

  • I do not tell my alpha/beta testers what the flavor is. They tell me what they taste, and that inspires me to look at dishes where that taste is present.

  • In some cases early on I realize that I'm awfully close to the description of an interesting dish that I came across in my research. Refine it towards that direction, but retain something unidentifiable and make sure that is never disrupted. That is the essence of why I believe people enjoy KIC flavors, so it must be kept at all costs.

  • Just saw I might have accidentally cut and forgot to paste back in a crucial step here so I'm editing to add: after you've refined it in that direction, add another layer of abstraction. Malted peanut butter glaze on the cardamom custard buns, a deep berry syrup on the Kuri Kinton, etc. Don't push the envelope, set it on fire.

There are obviously a ton of other steps inbetween, but that's the gist of it.

Edited to add: I haven't mixed a single liquid since before KIC launched. I smell things and write down numbers, and Ann precisely creates and catalogues thousands of iterations.

Edit 2: This is the primary reason I've never been a substantial contributor to any DIY social media groups. It is almost the literal antithesis to standard practices and has the potential to create conflict, which I actively try to avoid on the Interentthing.

Edit 3: This type of abstraction is how I've naturally worked in most other art, music, writing, etc. That being said, abstraction only gets you so far. One of the first things they do in art school is make sure you have your realism down like a science so you can have the ability to understand the rules you are breaking and why later on. Mastery of rules is a requisite, however I've never found general rules in liquid crafting to be overly complicated if you pay attention to content that is regularly posted in rad subs like this. <3

Edit 4: /u/ChemicalBurnVictim, this goes into a bit of my process. I will come back to your post later on tobacco specifically. :)

Expanding this from some further questions from my friend in another reply:

Since I answered your question in another comment, I'll elucidate a bit more on it:

  • Cliche, but true: If I am in the process of crafting (eliquid, our website, etc.) and there is a deadline I get very manic during the process. If it wasn't for 8/8 - Do you think KiC would be releasing new flavors? Is there anything you've made that you'd love to release but can't?

5 points

by KiteinCloudover 8 years ago

There is a book that can be written about this, so I'm being brief. That being said (from glancing some of the first questions), I am sure it will be expanded upon in other questions. Short answer: no.

There is a liquid that I spent a lot of time working on that doesn't exist in the industry. It was next on the queue after the Yellow Noise Maker beta finished. When 5/8 hit, I had to force myself to abandon it. There was a possibility that it would take longer than 3 months to perfect if I devoted 100% of my time to it. Then we would be stuck with Lenola Cream, the beta of Yellow Noise Maker (which is very different from what we released), and maybe a third liquid I would most likely regret releasing.

We just got some good news regarding TPD (more info to come), so there is a possibility since I was developing the flavor profile for a dish in that market anyway.

The big caveat is that I started another business a year ago that I've been able to devote zero time to due to personal reasons. My plan is to devote 50% of my time to that and 50% of my time getting back to communicating with our customers and friends.

As I'm reading through the more DIY focused questions, I'm thinking it might be a better idea to post them as submissions as a contributor to the community in less of an AMA style thread. The content might be more useful if it was accessible that way to the larger community and less KIC-focused. My responses are generally lengthy as well.

Would you guys be open to me replying to some questions with POSSIBLE TOPIC if I believe the content to be more useful that way? I can make the submissions in order of the most upvoted questions?

This comment is an example of how I'm struggling a bit with this format:

by KiteinCloudover 8 years ago

Chatting with Wayne /u/Enyawreklaw just now made me realize why I don't really have the knowledge to discuss flavor notes.

My flavor notes look more like this:

Flavor A.

Deep blue, Mix with (flavoring to accomplish Y, X to deconstruct this into Z), a few songs, maybe a friend, I smelled this with A and B and it reminded me of that time...

Edited to add: No, I do not have synesthesia.

Edit 2: For example, Yellow Noise Maker had flavor notes akin to:

  • boba tea in the summer in Brooklyn
  • This is close to grease, but X will fluff it into the mouth feel of tempura but not the taste. Let me smell some iterations of that with a few blind bottles and some chosen bottles.
  • Penn Station
  • What music was I listening to that summer in Brooklyn? Twee? Light and fluffy. Grind Core? Sweet and in your face.
  • I have to go black tea, since the floral aspect of green tea was Lenola Cream level adored by a core group in the beta, but too niche for the direction I would have to head in for a staple commercial flavor. Do I want into reduce into a black tea or start with a black tea?
  • Take iterations x2.1 - 2.5 and cut the concentration in half even if I knew I was spot on or way off. Don't taste this for two weeks. Not for homogenizing, but to purposefully forget how spot on or how way off I was.
  • when carvel ice cream cakes used to hurt your teeth.

So recently, (this year, if I'm not mistaken?) you decided to branch out with some new liquids. What made you decide to take a leap away from your trademark and only juice? (which is unparalleled btw).

Also, if you have another favorite liquid among other vendors, what is it?

One more, what's your gear and setup like?

Oops, accidentally replied to myself.

Ok, going to try to tackle this before I catch some sleep.

The first part of your question (thank you for the kind words) will be addressed in-depth in the main KIC posts I will be putting up in ECR. It is focused entirely on business, having nothing to do with liquid crafting.

As far as my favorite liquids, it would help my focus greatly if you could help me out with specific profiles. I have hundreds of favorites from dozens of vendors.

Gear - this will come into play in what I hope will be a non-controversial post regarding high end and low end in ECR. This is less about personal preference, and more about identifying a sister market for a craft product.

I have owned a majority of the high end atomizers out there. However due to my primary use of the JUUL, I tend to give them away to friends after understanding how they work with our liquids. There is no need for them to collect dust. If I didn't pay for something, I keep it as it was a gift from the creator. I spent a lot of time as "that guy" that everyone asks for opinions on flavor atties, since I was known for owning most of them. /u/prettymatthew is my favorite friend to send atties to, as I typically can tell from someone's liquids what products they will enjoy.

I credit my dear friend Nareg for getting me back into dripping after heavy mesh use when he released the NarDA. He wasn't very well known as the tube game was very saturated at that point of time. The first list didn't even fill if I remember correctly. He supported us as a customer prior to its release (one of the first pre-release pictures of the NarDA was sitting next to a bottle of Lenola Cream on his Instagram), and I always make sure to return the gesture even if it is something I do not think I will enjoy. The NarDA changed the game for me. It was my primary testing atomizer for everything besides Lenola Cream (edited to add that Lenola was tested primarily on the first Magma released into the US market as beta testing got heavy).

Ann only uses Norbert atomizers, specifically the Origen Tiny Tank but moreso the Origen 19/22 tank since it was released.

I have to run now, but I thought atomizers were something important to discuss relating to DIY. <3

The details are fuzzy, but at some point he spoke about not vaping or vaping unflavored for a while helping with flavor crafting. This advice was crucial in several phases of the development of our line. For me it was a light mint in a low powered device.

I am excited to see what you continue to do with your life, friend. You are awfully prolific for such a young dude.

/u/Enyawreklaw. <3

Edited to add: this phase also helped greatly in the development of Sempre (candy cane Lenola), as mint started to play such a large role in my life.

Thank you for the love and glad I can help! I think what you guys have done in the eliquid market, along with those like /u/prettymatthew and some others have really set the tone for what premium eliquid is compared to just "commercial". It's a shame where eliquid has gone since, but I do see a resurgence of "flavor first" coming back. Would love to see more of you in the DIY sphere either releasing discontinued or never released recipes. Your work is truly unique. While I'm not the biggest K into N fan, it's seriously one of the most ambitious flavor profile I've ever seen in vaping.

After Lenola Cream, K into N is the only flavor I made for my palate (Sempre too, but that flavor was extremely quick to develop). I knew it would not appeal to most, but I felt like I deserved to do one more just for me and not worry about numbers. I wish I had more time on that one. Since I was making it for myself, I had to be extremely strict with setting deadlines for completion. I did not have time to refine it to be more commercially viable.

Since my methods don't lend to actual recipes until I commit to a flavor, I don't have any recipes to release. I've only ever mixed 8 flavors. I have copious notes that won't make sense to anyone but myself.

I do have other ideas about how I could chill in the community, like helping people struggling to see if my methods apply to different learning styles. <3

That's great though. Like I said its an extremely ambitious flavor, so developing it under those circumstances and then releasing to market shows some balls. I really wish more companies took those risks. And I'll be looking forward to seeing more of you in the scene. Much Love.

Another interesting note: I do not have the ability to clone even the simplest recipe. I can pick out certain flavorings obviously, but I wouldn't know where to start conceptually since it is not how I learn.

While I am admired for my unique skills, I admire all of you for having abilities I could never learn. <3

I'm boring so I'll ask the cliché questions.

What's your favorite flavoring?

I will have to come back to this one later tonight. When I get into something, I tend to get obsessive about it. I have a horrible memory, but somehow have lyrics to infinity songs burned into my brain. So if you asked me what my favorite band was (flavoring manufacturer) or song (flavor), I would meander on for a few hours without forethought.

Good to hear from B&A, we need to do some shots again...So, I'll ask since some people might not know the answer(but I do). How did you come up with the names "Lenola Cream" and "Kite in Cloud"?

What do you foresee as the next evolution in e-juice? There was a big push on cereals for a while, and now I'm not sure where it's heading. Since you're on the DIY forum, I'd venture to guess that a lot of people are going to start picking up the hobby.

Miss you and love you brother. Please see my post in the KIC Facebook group.

Kite in Cloud

I'll come back later for Lenola Cream

From the very beginning here were my considerations:

Avoid having the word "vapor" and anything having to do with vaping or eliquid in the name. While some people are good with short-term and long-term business strategy, I excel in mega-long-term business strategy. We entered an industry with the knowledge that in 3-4 years it would probably cease to exist. Since just as much time was spent on our brand as our product, if the product became successful the brand needed to surpass it. The product might not exist soon. Why lose a valuable brand too? Cloud was subtle enough to serve both purposes. The general name comes from my musical taste and that aesthetic.

Like I mentioned in another comment, there is another project I am leading shaping up to be pretty rad. KICNRAD in fact. My thoughts on the future have been there lately, and not so much on the future liquid trends. <3

Hey there! How long had you been mixing and fiddling around before you came up with Lenola Cream? Did you know instantly that it was going to drive your business?

I'm going to try to get to this comment next, as it's definitely a fun story. :)

  • Do you guys do anything out of the norm when producing juices? Cook-offs, aging in wooden barrels, etc.

  • if you could only vape one juice for the rest of your life, what would it be?

As far as manufacturing, I'm not comfortable answering some questions. Last year we fell in love with Hardcorevapers and they handle our manufacturing now. I try to stay away from questions I don't feel qualified answering. I'm sure Dr. Pretty will be around to answer anything that comes up. <3

One juice? Here it goes! JUUL mint. I hope I just didn't burn my business to the ground.

Edit: Ann's desert island vape is Steamy Nuts by Steam Cycle.

Much love from the FL, Clayton

I don't really know your juices or brand, or most big brands on the market tbh (living in Brazil makes it kind of tough haha), but i think it's awesome that you're taking away from your own time to do this AMA, thank you so much! :)

On to a question: I just started making my own NETs and i'm interested in creating a kind of limited line of flavours, let's say five. I made some connections here and there and a juice manufacturer is interested in my creations ( we worked out something with two juices i sent him, which aren't the NETs ) and i was wondering if you think it's better for me to try and create my own branding, or if i should talk to him about making a second line under his brand. I doubt i could make this my job, but i would be really glad to cover the costs of the hobby, ya know? haha

All the best to you both!

*quick edit: Just read you're a huge music fan. Mind sharing your favorite(s)?

Hi there!

There seems to be a lot of tobacco talk in this thread, and I went through a long period of time where I only vaped NETs. I'll include some content about that when I talk a bit on tobacco in response to previous question.

As far as branding, for me to give you proper advice I would have to know about hundred more details. My general advice is to know when you aren't the smartest room, defer to who is, and capitalize on that. So is his brand smarter than what you'd envision creating? By smarter, I really mean better in more of the dozens of branding aspects you need to consider on a checklist than your potential aspects are. I hope that helps.

I actually put together some playlists together for a friend not too long ago. I'll post it when I can figure out where it is. :)

I'll be looking for those responses, then!

And yeah, that helps! I have no idea how i was not thinking about it like that. Thank you!

Cool, hope there's a lot of stuff that will be new to me!

Wayne actually did a pretty good job over here.

I don't have anything to release, but I would be open to help "KICIFY" other's recipes in the future when time permits.
