Blueberry Lemonade Slushie Real Flavors SC
submitted over 8 years ago by mysticrosellDiketones, Schmiketones

Percentage Used: 3%

Equipment Used: Troll RDA with a single Kanthal .3 ohm Staircase coil at 27W. 24g kernel with 32g wrap, cotton wick.

PG/VG: 30/70

Steep Time: 7 Days

Aroma: Sweet fresh blueberries, lemonade.

Flavor Description: The blueberry and lemonade are very well balanced, both being about equal to each other. The blueberry tastes like a mix of fresh and artificial, but closer to the fresh side, and juicy. The lemonade has that artificial overly sweetened slurpee taste. Very authentic to a slurpee, it is overall a sweet flavor, with only a tiny hint of tart. It doesn't taste like a glass of lemonade with blueberry in it, it truly has a slushie flavor. It says in the description it has cooling affect, but I can't find it. Great summer beverage, it would be better with additional cooling/Koolada to really take it all the way. This is a pretty complex and complete flavor, easily a single flavor.

Off Flavors: Lack of cooling/Koolada

Throat Hit: 3/10

Pairings: Additional berries, strawberry, raspberry, mixed, boysenberry, blackberry. Koolada or Polar Blast. Tart and sour.

Notes: The flavor is a good strength at 3%. It will be interesting to see if this fades with a longer steep as lemons as notorious for doing. I will be trying a bit of tart and sour for my taste preferences. I like a super tart bite to my lemonade. Along with Koolada. I see this being a very popular flavor this summer.

This flavor sounds great except for the sweet lemonade bit, I might have to try adding some lemon sicily or juicy lemon to bump up the sour quotient.

Exactly! I like tart. I was actually contemplating some FA Lime Tahity Cold Pressed. It usually does perfect at accenting the lemon, and it's a more natural tart than tart enhancers. Works really well in lemon meringue as well.

Just got this in the mail and holy hell it smells delicious. Exactly as described. I just made a 3.5% tester and I'm excited to try it!

Got a bottle of this for free along with three other free bottles during their Memorial Day sale. I made 5 mL single-flavor testers at 2.5% with all of the flavors I ordered, but since I vape bakery/dessert recipes most of the time, this one was the last flavor I tried.

You are pretty spot on with your notes. Basically the only thing I disagree with you on is the cooling effect — it is pretty obvious for me. With that said, I would have liked the cooling effect to be just a tiny bit more pronounced.
