So recently I put in an order from gremlin DIY and got a free sample of their gremberry crunch flavoring. I wasn't sure how it would be since it wasn't from a normal flavor company but I was pleasantly surprised. IMO this flavoring is much better than TFA berry crunch. Just for reference here's an approximation of the recipe that I used before I get into the flavor notes that I'm getting from gremberry crunch.
FA fresh cream 1%
CAP vanilla custard 1%
TFA Vbic .5%
FA meringue .75%
FA marshmallow .75%
TFA Bavarian cream .3%
FA Catalan cream .4%
TFA dairy .25%
Gremberry crunch 6%
TFA strawberry ripe 3%
On the inhale it's the yellow pieces of captain crunch, very, well cerealy! And the exhale it's more of the berry aspect of captain crunch.
I know this is a really horrible review of a flavoring and I'm sure some of the notes I'm getting are skewed by the recipe and other flavorings in the mix, but I mainly wanted to just say that this is a great flavoring and definitely worth trying out if you wanna ask for a free sample when you place a gremlin order. The main reason I like this flavoring more than TFA berry crunch is that the TFA just seems.. a lot heavier and flat than gremberry crunch, gremberry crunch is just a lot more cereal notes imo. (If anyone does a single flavor review of this to capture all the notes of this flavor I'd love to read it! I just don't have the time to test flavorings like that :/ )
Arent these just the concentrate forms of finished recipes rather than just a flavor concentrate?
Gremberry Crunch is uh, not a flavor. But if it works, excellent.
It's a flavor if I say it's a flavor! (or if OP does, or you do). Nothing wrong with using a one-shot as a flavor.
Seriously, the descriptions on /u/gremlinjuice 's site encourages mixers to add things to some of their one-shots, and I remember /u/enyawreklaw once challenged viewers of his podcasts to use his recipe "concentrits" as ingredients to make their own recipes ("Rhodonite Ice Cream" FTW!).
Considering throwing together some flavor notes for this.
They gave me a free 5ml sample and it's fucking heavenly. I don't get any of the yellow crunch at 17%. to me it's an absolutely perfect fresh "oops all berries" with a hint of milk.
if anyone sees this and is worried about if it's good or not: if you like crunch berries cereal fucking buy it, this is some goooooood shit. Solo. I can see it fitting in mixes as a flavoring, too.
Trying it has definitely convinced me to try more of their flavors.
