Long story short: While food grade benzoic acid is approved for gastric consumption it may damage your lungs when inhaling. badly translated text: > food containing 0 - 5mg BA/kg per day was assessed to be >tolerable [...] > higher doses (25 mg/kg KG/d, 20 d) may fatigue, faintness, >headache. No idea how much mg/m³ one is actually inhaling with vape. Also I'm not your Mom or your Doc, do what you must do.
just a PSA for anyone taking opiates for chronic pain,
nicotine, once metabolised, creates nicotinic acid, which will reduce the effects of pain relief (opiates aren't really relieving the pain, but rather altering your perception of it through euphoria), so having increased absorption of nicotine will reduce the effectiveness of your medicine.
wow. I have never heard that before. thanks!
though, if people are in this sub and hve pain issues then cbd would be a good thing to start researching. you can buy cbd isolate for about $30 and add it to a pg heavy eliquid (it recrystalizes in vg heavy juices) to vape.
I just finished up a pain education course at my local pain clinic (teaches about what you can do for yourself to rehabilitate and reduce/cope with your pain better), which is where I learned about the nicotinic acid. Medicinal marijuana was also brought up.
Now, while it does have many benefits in other medical areas, it has no effect whatsoever on pain (according to the doctor that ran the course, many studies supporting this can also be found via Google, but with everything on the internet, an unbiased source is needed and info should be taken with a grain of salt. I personally felt it had no effect at all for my chronic pain, if anything it made. it worse because that's all I could think about)
Capsaicin is a much better pain reliever (the term is used loosely, as it doesn't relieve the pain, it gives a different sensation which distracts you from the pain you originally had)
Thanks bro. I had back pain and I realized that vaping would cause my back to hurt and I didn't know why. Everyone said I was dehydrated. I thought it was the kantal coils, so I switched to SS and it was better but still hurt.
Now I know that I shouldn't use nicotine like that. Thanks for writing this, I knew I wasn't making shit up.
