It took me 3 months and 20+ revisions to perfect this recipe. I started with the basics and used the original flavors of sour worms which are cherry, grape, lemon, lime, orange and strawberry. It took time to get the perfect flavor for each one and get them all perfectly balanced. I'm very proud of this recipe and i hope you enjoy!
Fw cherry crush - 1.6% TFA Swedish gummy - 1.4% INW shisha strawberry - 1.4% FW grape soda - 2% CAP strawberry taffy - 1% FA Orange - 1.5% INW lemon shisha - 1.3% TFA keylime - 0.7% PUR Gummy candy 2.5% TPA gummy candy 2.25% CAP jelly candy 2.3% PUR jelly candy 3% TFA sweetner 2%
NOTES: The cherry crush, grape soda, strawberry taffy, shisha strawberry, lemon shisha , keylime, orange all give the range of flavors in a sour worms candy bag. It's equivalent to throw all the worms in your mouth at once. This is the most perfect balance of each flavor it could get. Kept keylime low because it can easily take over the recipe, and the lemon shisha relatively low too. Lemon shisha is an AMAZING candy lemon taste. Better than FE for candyish recipes for sure.
Side note: the blue on the red and blue sour worm is actually grape believe it or not.
Swedish gummy, both gummy candys, and both jelly candy all give the above 6 flavors the true life gummy taste. Both of the jelly candies already taste similar to sour worms so they play a big role. PUR gummy candy is a must have, it's the most neutral tasting gummy taste , while gummy candy TPA has some mix of fruity candy.
I was trying to mimic premium juices hinting at the high sweetner. The sweetner is HUGE in this recipe, as it gives it a real gummy taste. Imagine eating gummy worms without sugar, they wouldn't taste good would they? You could also lower it to your taste.

If you decide to mix it up, id really appreciate the review on ELR! This recipe is 100% worth it to order these flavors , I promise 😊
The comments here make me sad. This mentality is so silly. You guys don't know as much as you think you do.
The first paragraph states it took over 20 revisions so I think they spent time on this and chances are it tastes pretty close to what they were going for. What do you think gummy worms are made of? Flavoring and sugar.
Try something before shitting all over it based on things you've read on a forum. This subreddit has helped me a lot, but there's a lot of bad information here too. Less = more is NOT a universal truth.
Looks at all the top flavors of 2016, all complex recipes. Simple recipes will get you maybe 70% close to an authentic flavor. That extra 30% exponentially harder to capture. Had I not just dropped 800$ on concentrates, Id be placing an order for these ingredients.
I'm not disputing that some recipes take a good number of different flavorings. I'm just wondering why this one needs four different kinds of candy additives
I can relate to this.
I've been working on an Apple jacks recipe since I started DIY and the original had 11 flavors and tasted good. Just went back to rework it with new flavors and was able to cut it down to 8 and it's just as good, if not better. It had Apple Pie and CDS, which were kind of redundant, and like 5 creams/dairy that could be replaced with 3. I think I can still take another 1 or 2 out, waiting to see how these testers come out.
But if it tastes good to the person making it that's all that really matters
> What do you think gummy worms are made of? Flavoring and sugar.
i can't put my finger on why but this isn't a great argument.
> it took over 20 revisions
but maybe it took 20 revisions and OP decided "fuck it this is close enough". maybe it needs that 21st revision, or that 40th.
>Try something before shitting all over it [..]
"Hopefully someone else does and can comment on how it turns out."
this is a lack of trust, not shitting on it. as soon as someone mixes it up and says it's the second coming of christ i'll look closer.
> [...] based on things you've read on a forum.
how about personal experience though?
So just assume I said "fuck it, It's good enough"? You can't place your finger on what's wrong with that argument because there isnt anything wrong with it
fun fact, TFA Swedish gummy is a lingonberry flavor....
the whole 2% sweetener thing is likely to overpower most of the flavors used... this really looks over-flavored to me with a couple strange choices. looking at your other recipes it looks like you have a really interesting habit of using either too many or too much of each flavor.
I don't have a majority of these flavors. hopefully someone else does and can comment on how it turns out.
How long would you steep this?
Formatting:
Fw cherry crush - 1.6%
TFA Swedish gummy - 1.4%
INW shisha strawberry - 1.4%
FW grape soda - 2%
CAP strawberry taffy - 1%
FA Orange - 1.5%
INW lemon shisha - 1.3%
TFA keylime - 0.7%
PUR Gummy candy 2.5%
TPA gummy candy 2.25%
CAP jelly candy 2.3%
PUR jelly candy 3%
TFA sweetner 2%
I feel like we can remove half of those flavors, especially the sweetener, and it would be just as good if not better.
Try mine, then try it your way. What's wrong with having a lot of flavors? I rather vape a really complex recipe that's perfectly balanced and has layers then just throwing some gummy candy in it and saying fuck it. If you wanted a true sour worms recipe you still need the 6 flavors that are IN the sour worms. UNLESS you just wanted like say , just the green and orange worm, or just the grape and cherry etc
I mean, I hear ya man. Didn't mean to sound like an asshole although it does sound that way. I can understand your intent, and maybe it works great here, but usually too many flavors end up muddying the overall flavor. It's like making a smoothie and throwing in all your fruits and veggies. Eventually something is gonna make it taste off.
i'm more interested in other people experience with mixing recipes having too many flavours. i don't know will some of these flavours overpover another flavours or make them almost not noticeable.
i feel some scepticism about that
I can already tell that 1.6 of Cherry Crush FW is going to give little to no flavor. I am currently working with it on a cherry limeade and I need at least 4% to get the flavor to pop.
I don't want to blow raspberries at the mixer, but it really seems like this will be just a mish-mash of flavors with no focus at all.
That's why it took me so much time to perfect it. I had to make sure each flavor was perfectly balanced and didn't over power one another
I appreciate all of hard work you done to make this recipe. I'll try it later after getting missing flavours. I also found some interesting recipes on your profile at ELR. Will try some of these too.
It's not a criticism from my side. I can't call myself a DIYer. I just mix what people posted. I tried a lot of recipes (about a hundred). All of these recipes have ~7 flavours as maximum. And it's first time i see recipe having so many flavours. I just asked for experienced DIYers opinion about that
What? I mix Swedish gummy with INW Cola and get a great cola gummy candy. Maybe it's just placebo.
it's swedish fish which is a lingonberry flavored gummy. if that works for you that's cool.
It's supposed to be a lingonberry gummy flavor, very true. Just tastes like a waxy cherry gummy flavor to me, though. Pretty vicious throat hit on that one, but if you can mitigate or tolerate it, you could bend it into a "cherry on top" flavor without that cough syrup trap that most cherries fall into.
I'd buy it on vapechemy!
Seriously, throw it on vapechemy, I'll try it and not complain that someone's piece of art doesn't meet my standards set from a small tightnit community of purists.
Oh shit, I love me some gummy worms! Only missing the pur gummy/jelly candies and Fa Orange/inw shisha Lemon. I don't usually order from nic river but I might just have to so I can try this recipe.
Edit: also missing Fw grape soda. Damn.
