Hello all!
It has been ages since I last submitted a post here. Way back I was just starting my DIY adventure and was mixing almost purely with FlavorWest and other cheaper flavoring alternatives. This has changed over time but this one recipe has managed to stick around in my rotation.
A little backstory to this recipe. Back in the day SeduceJuice had a flavor I fell in love with called Beelzebub. It was described as a fire and ice style liquid. From the day I tried it I knew it tasted like the Big Red Gum my father always had with him. And I loved it. ~3 years ago or so I went to order it and noticed it wasn't on their website any longer. I emailed them and they told me it had been discontinued. I offered to purchase the recipe but to no avail. This juice alone started my DIY adventure.
Without further adieu, I introduce to you the recipe I have coined as "Wrath", due to its intense flavor despite the high VG content.
Wrath
4% Cinnamon Red Hots (FW)
4% Extreme Ice (FW)
.5% Koolada (TFA)
Mix at Max VG
This, to me and many of those around me, comes out to tasting exactly like Big Red Gum. While there is no attempt to pull a "chewing gum" style texture here I believe the candy element from the Cinnamon Red Hots gives a slight feeling of chewing gum here. The Extreme Ice flavor also gives the cooling sensation that many receive from the gum as well. And then the added Koolada just rounds everything off nicely.
I have tried to replace these flavorings with other substitutes from other vendors in the past. You can get away with TFA's Cinnamon Red Hot in a similar percentage but Extreme Ice is crucial here due to its unique mix and flavor.
This is great as a SnV but 3 days really helps to let the flavors settle together. This is a clear liquid pre steep and should turn yellowish by the time it is fully steeped.
WARNING: This recipe is not for the faint of heart and it is by far the most intense vape in my personal lineup. Some people may enjoy this even with the flavor percentages cut in half.
If anyone mixes this up, let me know what you think of it! I don't see many "Fire and Ice" style liquids anymore as they have seemed to go out of style but for those who have been around for a while this might just be a gem for you!
If you don't chew Big Red, then fuck you!
I love hot cinnamon vapes but we only have a limited selection of them from local resellers in Australia. I just got FLV Red Cinnmon and hoping I can make something good with that as I wasn't a fan of the CAP version. Could you explain the difference between Extreme Ice and Koolada please?
Sure thing!
Extreme Ice is more of a "all in one" mint and menthol flavoring. I feel like it captures a few different profiles as far as "cool" goes, which helps in this blend.
Koolada, on the other hand, is more of the cooling effect minus any menthol/mint flavor. Some note a bitter taste at higher percentages and I myself tend to keep it below 2% in any mix.
This is awesome! Love me some fire+ice. I'm gonna have to get FW Cinnamon Red Hots.
I've been vaping this for the last week:
- 2% Menthol (10%)
- 2% FW Candy Cane
- 2% TFA Cinnamon Red Hots
- 1% FW Cinnamon Roll
- 2% FW Extreme Ice
- 1% Koolada (10%)
The base ratio is essentially the same as yours -- 1:1 Red Hot:Extreme Ice. Candy cane is there to sweeten things up, while providing more cooling, and I like the cinnamon roll because it gives just a touch of body and mouth feel.
Just made this when my flavorings came in and here are my thoughts
RTA: AugVape Merlin with a 4mm fused clapton with 26gx2 cores and 36g wrap @ 0.3 ohms
Strong cinnamon candy taste on the inhale with a very sweet exhale. The menthol from Extreme Ice melds well with the Cinnamon Red Hot especially with the feeling in your throat.
Might be making a 120ml of this and adding it to my rotation
