Not related to this particular sale, but I was finally able to try the (new?) FA Royal Orange this week. It's interesting. Not what I would expect from a citrus- it's definitely got its own thing going on. It's like an orange that would probably go better with bakery/desserts than it would with bright fruit mixes. A soft orange is the best way I can explain it. It kind of reminds me of Tang without the tartness.
I'm excited to start playing around with it. I'm thinking a bit of TPA Dragon Fruit or Jackfruit could really make this pop.
Just noticed I was getting a bit low on Latakia, so I reckon this weekend will be a good time to restock. Might get some liquid amber too, just to see what that's all about. I'll check my Black Fire stock while I'm at it I suppose. Maybe try Oak Wood. Sale time make Chemy Burns go wild.
Just got some TDM-INW Latakia. It is good, but I can't really taste the latakia flavor very well. Tried the FW Latakia, I don't know what is going on with that. I've heard that the FA Latakia is best. What do you think?

Edit: forgot blackcurrant and Bilberry. I love the blackcurrant with menthol. And the bilberry is a must for adding it to other bilberry flavors to make them authentic. And Kiwi! God I almost forgot the delicious Kiwi! Must have.

How I feel about the flavor mark up... Ambivalent... I think it's good to have an across the board price because certain vendors like to hike up prices for no reason... but at the same time it sucks because they are more expensive everywhere. I won't be buying any because I've placed 4 flavoring orders in the past 1-2 weeks.. and I need to stop :P

FA Custard is a must when doing fruit custards. That lemon note really helps fruits POP!
So good mixed with a small amount of lemon or key lime. I heard European Custard usually has citrus notes/zest cooked in and served with lemon so I whipped up a recipe based on that that I usually have on hand/steeping, alongside some recipes that aren't mine (mothers unicorn milk/new amsterdam if I want to cheat on complexity, fizz's nana cream clone, a regular vanilla custard(third world, etc) and a caramel/RY4 custard. Covers all the bases, and ill throw in my bilberry custard if I want dark fruit, etc) anyway, the recipe-
European Custard by Labubs
Steep Time: 3-7 days
Custard (FA)-4.5%
Italian Lemon Sicily (CAP) or Key Lime Pie (TFA)-1.5%
[This is the eyeballer. I usually mix around 0.75% Key Lime Pie (TFA) with 0.75% Italian Lemon Sicily (CAP), and overdo it a bit....like if it calls for 1.2ml, ill bring it up to 1.5. This is usually fine as I always mix Max VG for all recipes. Also will probably grab Lime Tahiti CP and throw a few drops in, or pretty much any Lemon or Lime in a 30ml dropper bottle. Usually comes out more to a 2-2.5% mixture of my lemons/limes]
Marshmallow (CAP), have used (TFA)-2.5%
Sweet Cream (CAP)-2%
Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)-2%
Notes- The Custard (FA) is the backbone. It has a zesty citrus tang to it, vanilla custard it I not. I read about Custards and in Italy/Europe Custard isn't the vanilla pudding/flan flavor we expect in the states, but is cooked with the zest of lemon inside, hence this flavor's citrus taste.
The Citrus flavors accent this, and you can be VERY liberal in your use of them. Use one or another, mix them together, bump percentages(within reason), add drops after measuring your choice out and finishing the juice, I've been partial to Key Lime lately as it plays wonderfully with the creams. However, I'll still do a ratio of 3:1 KLP to Lemon right in the Syringe. The way I usually make it, I should probably name it European Style Lemon Lime Custard.
Marshmallow - Unfortunately the old CAP formulation is better and is no longer available, but it doesn't really matter. TFA or most other brands work fine. This is our sweetener, to balance out all that Citrus. Also here for mouthfeel.
Sweet Cream (CAP)- See above, and also lends a slightly creamy aspect to what would otherwise end up being a bit sour lemon lime type juice. Makes it into more of a Custard, albeit an unconventional one.
Vanilla Custard v1(CAP) - The flavoring king. The vanilla and very slight butter note rounds out the Marshmallow and Sweet Cream. The vanilla also turns the Citrusy Custard into something between straight dessert and a creamy fruit. Next order I should really get a 16 or 32 oz of this, its so versatile, its the king for a reason, baby!
I enjoy it as an ADV about once a month. Its sweet, its zesty, and has a nice thick mouthfeel to it that isn't TOO thick. Go easy on me /r/DIY_Ejuice, this is my first public recipe :-)

I don't mind the extra price of FA flavors. I don't use many of them, but the ones I do use are absolutely amazing. Black Cherry, Forest Fruit, Arctic Winter, & Vienna Cream are my main buys from FA.
How do you use your black cherry? I've yet to find a good use for mine.
Try making a lemonade with it, I primarily use it in one of my companies best sellers, Necromancer. It's a tricky flavoring, but if you pair it with other dark flavors such as Black Currant, while also using just the right amount of light flavors, IE Orange, Juicy Lemon, Lemonade, lemon sicily, etc it is amazing!
