Hey folks, so I got a new shipment of nic from vaperbc & finally got a comparison shot of the two. https://imgur.com/a/lcvrs Still have no more info other than "natural phenomenon". Will Titrate either tonight or this weekend.
Keep in mind, something made this happen. We need to know what that something is in order to determine if it's safe to put in your lungs. "Natural phenomenon" is not good enough. This is weird as fuck. You should check in to /r/Deeper_DIY/ and ask them and report back if you're willing. I've never read about blue nic ever and google isn't turning up any results either.
So, unfortunately Andy has asked me not to post the forwarded email online, however I respect that. The email assures the the product was tested, they reviewed all aspects of production & "Essentially it came down to being a natural phenomena due to certain tobacco leaf harvests."
That's a little sketchy, in the territory of "I don't want a paper trail" imo. Unless there was a valid reason provided you can't share but I'm just wildly speculating and paranoid.
looks clear in a slightly tinted bottle...
It's generic LDPE as far as I can tell
So that's vg nic and not pg nic correct? I only order pg based because i heard it lasts longer. No matter though. I wonder if this is just when they cut it with vg.
Both just VG nic. From what I was told it happened when the nicotine touched the VG
So your saying that they watched it turn blue and sold it to you anyways?
Bleach and ammonia "naturally" makes mustard gas.
I always buy 100mg nic suspended in VG and its never been blue. That being said, I only buy USP grade which has the strictest quality control for inhalation safety standards. Nicotine is a common pesticide so I'm hoping you didn't buy industrial grade. The fact that it's not on the bottle makes me concerned.
I could be totally wrong here, but USP ratings don't have anything to do with how safe something is to inhale. Don't they have more to do with purity? Not trying to argue with you btw! If you have some links I'd like to read more.
USP has the most strict standards so if your going to be inhaling it, you should spend a bit more and get the cleanest product you can- It's really not expensive. I know flavor extracts are food grade and are obviously only intended for ingestion so if vaping is ever found to be bad, it will be the extracts I'm sure.
