Flavor Review: JF Fresh Cream
submitted over 8 years ago by Arpeggiator8472

Usage: 3%, 50/50 blend, 50 watts, 0.25 ohms Staircase Coil, CLT Mini RDA

ODOR:

Cream(no vanilla), faint nutty odor.

Throat Hit:

Zero

Fresh:

Dense cream/thick mouth feel. Reminiscent of heavy whipping cream in a carton. Tasted mainly at back of tongue. Very 'wet' milky quality. No nuttiness detected. Thick vapor for a 50/50 mix.

Off Flavors:

At 4% and over, slight caramel. Not a bad thing though, as it's barely noticeable.

4 Day Steep:

Slight change, in that it resembles half & half creamer more than heavy cream. Sweet, medium thickness and sweeter than it was when tasted fresh.

Standalone:

3-5%(surprisingly satisying solo)

Mixed:

0.5-3%

Recommended Pairings: Pretty much everything, especially dairy, RY4s, and bakeries. Though fruits are NOT out of the question.

Recipe including this concentrate will be on my JF Mango flavor review following this one.

So how's it stack up to FA's version? I've never been let down by good ol' cream fresh, but I'm always up for a new creamy concentrate.

I love FA Cream Fresh. Honestly, I haven't tried a side by side of this vs FA in the same mix. However, as a standalone I enjoy this. FAs version, I don't enjoy as a standalone.

Well, that's enough for me to head on over to ecx and order up. Any other winners from JF I should grab? I have their yellow cake and sweet strawberry

I like their Bavarian Cream, Dulce de Leche and Biscuit....I'm hooked on bakery/dessert stuff :)
