An amazingly tasty, mouthwatering blackberry sweet tart with just a hint of peppermint to keep things interesting. This one is hands down my best recipe to date.
#Blackberry & Candy Roll
So, to begin, I knew I wanted to make a blackberry sweettart. After looking at reviews of various options, I found Flv - candy roll. I knew this was the solo flavor I needed for the sweet tart side of this recipe.
Then, well. I love Tfa - Blackberry. As strong as it is, and as floral as it can get, in some cases. I cant get enough of it. And, in my opinion, it always seemed to work better leaning towards candy. So these two paired perfectly.
#Cactus
Cactus is used to enhance the blackberry, help bind the candy roll and blackberry, and also, its juicy aspect helps fight candy rolls dryness.
#Peppermint
So, this one was mainly cause Ive been on a sort of a mint kick lately. I thought the recipe as a whole lacked depth. This completely changed that. Tfa - Peppermint is killer strong and unfortunately, has that cooling effect in it slightly. But in this case just seemed to work perfect. The peppermint isnt very distinct at all, it kind of lingers in the back, but the cooling effect plays very nicely with the cactus. (A prime example being Philosaphuckers Grack juice)
So, this is by far the best juice ive made to date. 100% S&Vable. Havent tried it past 2 days steeped.
You know, sometimes I hate this subreddit. I keep seeing these recipes that look and sound amazing, but I can't make them all.
Would love to buy 10-30ml of so many just to get to try them. I'm not so much of a complex flavor artist, I mean my ADV which are like 90% of what I make are tfa strawberry ripe (plus usually a little bit of the various other strawberrys I have) and koolada, or a basic vanilla custard (a personalized version of a basic Grants Custard).
But many of you guys... Remind me of my culinary chops.
Tl:DR - fuck that sounds awesome I'd love 10ml to try. And there are SOOO many recipes I see here that I think that about.

I know this feeling all to well.. There are so many flavorings out there in others recipes that I would love to have in my arsenal. But, they are an arm and a leg to get my hands on. Just a huge hassle overall..
Although, The vendor I use most frequently has been bringing in tons of new brands and flavors. So, that's a big plus. Just waiting for them to get a few choice brands.
Just curious, Where are you from?
I'm in PA. My go to is wizard labs as they had the best nicotine back when I started and they carried TFA as a house brand back then. TFA is a solid flavor brand, so it was one stop shopping. Since then they've picked up about 4 other brands including CAP and INV, which basically makes the holy trinity of flavorings.
Plus they operate like an actual lab (cuz they were), and having a biotech background that was more... Comforting? Than other places, many of which were literally mixing in their kitchen (see: Pluid or Grants Custard. that's right I'm old school, we didn't even have adjustable ego types back then and mechanicals were still only $100+ hand milled stuff from guys with a workshop... It was rough.). I've been a loyal and exclusive customer ever since. If it isn't broke, don't fix it?

I'm really digging that TFA Blackberry too.
It's just such a unique flavor, and it mixes with others very well. It's just annoyingly strong.
It sure is. I never go over 1% I would think 2% would be too floral.
I know, oh trust me, I know. But in this case, it just seems to be perfect. I started low, as per usual. But I was forced to keep bringing it up. The candy roll is also a very strong flavor, and to get that strong sweet tart property, I had to go high with it, too.
Those two alone had an odd flavor I couldn't pin point. I tried smoothing it out with a few different things (EM, dragon fruit, creams, lemon, etc) Nothing worked, brought in Cactus at .25% and it made a difference. Not enough, tho. So, I played with it until I got to 1.25%, it started to take over the whole mix so I stopped and went back to 1%.
At that point, I was happy but not quite satisfied with it. I tried giving it a hint of many other fruits, creams, bakery flavorings, etc. Nothing really fit well.. Until I tried peppermint. I started at .5% but the peppermint was way to upfront and the cooling property was just overwhelming, very quickly. Dialed it down at .05% increments until I hit .3%. At .3% I find it has just enough peppermint flavor to not be able to actually pin point it, and know it is for sure peppermint. And the cooling property is just strong enough to mingle with cactus in a beautiful way.
Maybe you would prefer this recipe with 1% Blackberry regardless tho, you'll never know unless you try. :)
MMM! Sounds great I've really had a hankering for a good blackberry, will try TFA for sure and pick up the Cactus to juice it up. FLV- Candy Roll doesn't sound like something I'd like, but it it adds sweet tart as opposed to smarties I'm all in.
Yeah, I can't say that Tfa - blackberry really nails an authentic blackberry. But, it is still an amazing flavor, never the less.
And yeah, I don't understand why the description by Flv says Smarties or sweettarts.. Because this flavoring taste absolutely nothing like Smarties, in any way. Sweet tarts and Smarties are an entirely different type of candy.. Candy Roll, is definitly a sweet tart. They must have a different type of candy called Smarties over there, or something..
