It's that time of year in china again when the Mosquitos make life hell, especially when I'm trying to enjoy a few outdoor beers in the evenings. I'm wondering has anyone come up with a recipe or found any flavourings to piss off these evil little bastards ?
Yeah, all my summer mixes are 70/30 VG/DEET
Shit, I must've messed up. I mixed 70/30 VG/DMT.
I can see the flavors!
Flavor Notes:
I was constructed by people wearing togas. I witnessed my own birth and death in the same moment, meanwhile I lived infinite lifetimes in an instant. The hologram of reality revealed itself, and the universes aligned as though they were a window allowing only my gaze. This was all accompanied by the horribly potent taste of mothballs and everything under the kitchen sink. Sound changed frequencies; the vibrations of noise became amplified in visibility and audibility. Sense of self then became as foreign as the distant stars I flew between. Unaware of any "me", time molted from the evolving dimensional tesseract. Distances collapsed and empty space exploded with nothingness. And then suddenly I was dazed and confused on my couch, my body returned from what I can only imagine as the cosmic heavens. Mothballs still stained on my tongue and throat, I desperately grab for my vape. It's still in my mouth, and, after several minutes of fumbling through a panic, I realize this. Ahh, a nice relaxing drag of...
More mothballs?
cannon boom
Flavor Notes:
I was constructed by people wearing togas..
I prefer 15% flavor 85% DEET!
I usually go with the Off! At a 60/40 VG/Off! Blend, standard deet just gets too dry and doesn't steep in well.
Your best bet is a repelling candle. I know it doesn't sound very appealing but they're strongly attracted to deodorant, so wipe down the pits before going out. Also avoid killing any, it releases a pheromone that attracts more mosquitoes. Vaping isn't the end all solution to all of life's problems. Trust me, you don't want to end up like the deer hunter that vaped doe urine.
There have been a number of studies suggesting that citronella candles don't work. It's been my experience also. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2017/02/want-repel-mosquitoes-don-t-use-citronella-candles
That's interesting. I thought lemongrass was known to be a repellant, and citrolnella is just the active ingredient in it.
I ended up setting up a big square fan with a fine mesh on the back side. It traps mosquitos on the back side, then you can either spray with alcohol to kill them (or just mash them dead with your hand). It works the best in terms of quantity killed.
I once slept in a hammock in the jungle in Latin America. I covered my face, neck and ears in citronella. It worked but the little bastard's still bit me in all the places I'd missed, eyebrows, sides of my nose, edge of my ears. I looked like I'd been in a boxing fight the next morning.
My DIY juices will kill anything , tree roots , mosquitos , hardened steel plate, granite block , concrete you name it .
But hasn't killed you... what're you made of man?
Nothing worse than having a few blood suckers flying undetected inside your house.
You go to bed, turn off all the lights and within 20 minutes that mother effer will hone in on you & bite you right in the face .
You can hear the son of a bitches buzzing in your ear . I have always used a professional spray bottle filled with 91% alcohol that shoots liquid 25 feet just like those high powered Hornets nest cans .
I shoot massive flames throughout the house and shit does catch on fire but there is a bucket of water nearby and nothing ever burst into flames just a corner of a drape sometimes stays lit .
If you don't direct intense heat toward the window areas they will survive because thats where they hide.
After being less than thorough with the flames in the past and being bitten in the face twice i now just scorch everything to make sure those hellbats perish .
Many use citronella as a "natural"repellent it's a type of lemongrass, make a few strong citrus based juices and see if any work's or if you find a lemongrass concentrate and use that.
Can someone clone this?
The only flavor I ever noticed that annoy insects are menthol/mint. All others seem to actually attract them, most likely because of the CO2 in you're breath, though.
Cannot confirm, sat outside vaping on a strong menthol mix and ended up with about 10 bites on the ankles :(
Honestly one of the best ways to keep them away is to have a fan going. It you get one of those oscillating fans it should be enough to keep them off a small patio.
Is this true? Seems so simple...how big of a fan and patio are you talking about?
FA honey at 10%? I can't see anything or anyone coming near you with that
What's wrong with FA honey? Maybe tpa honey at 10 % and tpa tiramisu at 6 %
It's not the FA Honey that's wrong, it's the 10%. None of these sound like a good idea though, unless you'd like to replace your mosquito problem with a bee problem.
Nothing wrong with FA honey as long as it stays out of my juice. I had a terrible experience with it, and now just the smell of it hurts me
FA Honey is great. You just need to make a 10% dilution, as it is highly concentrated.
For repelling mosquitoes, you can try Black Cherry (FA), it tastes and smells like battery acid. I'm pretty sure it can kill anything that moves. You can also use Cucumber (FA) to the same effect.
