FA Black Currant?

Does anyone have any experience with this flavouring? Black currant is one of my favourite flavours, I had the idea to do a black currant and lime cheesecake, I'm fairly new to mixing, just wanted some general tasting notes if anyone had any.

Some flavor notes here. The flavor review site is a great place to start getting basic ideas. There are some great reviewers here like /u/ConcreteRiver /u/ID10-T and /u/mlNikon and their notes are usually very detailed and informative.

FA Blackcurrant is nice, but it's not blackcurrant. Get either Inawera or Molinberry (sharp) blackcurrant, they are both great. In fact, I combine them 1:1. Highly recommended if you can obtain both.

Thanks! I was looking for more of a 'true' black currant flavour, most of the Canadian DIY sites only seem to have the FA version but I'll see if I can track it down.

FA black currant reminds me of a fruit pastille candy rather than the fruit itself.

FA Blackcurrant is nice. It's a "dark" fruit if that makes sense at all. It's most beneficial for aadding a "jam" note to a fruit mixture if used in small amounts. It's a good flavor to have.
