Thanks for sharing this! I just bought Peanut Butter Cookie, Taffy Base, Banana Bread, and Bavarian Cream (like I really needed a fifth Bavarian Cream), and got Tropical Punch, Lemon Cookie, Strawberry Lemonade, and Blueberry Lemonade Slushie free.

I've been fucking with taffy base a lot the past month, highly recommend it.

Any suggestions on what to do with it?

Candied fruits all day long.
I started at 4% with another single flavor at 4% to see what would happen, LA Watermelon, TFA Cantaloupe and various other berries/melons seem to work well with it.

Mixing it at 3% with 2% TFA Gummy Candy is interesting because I'd say it's a solid framework to build candy recipes from, that is once the gummy candy gets over it's initial harshness.

I'm no flavor wizard and wouldn't be able to break down the on and off notes of the flavor for you, but it's the best taffy flavoring I've found so far and I'm sticking it in all my fruit mixes, I've also started to see how it goes in more milk based recipes, using it to add body to the milks.

Wait how was blueberry lemonade slushee free? I thought it was only the first three on the promo

by ID10-Tover 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

You can get those three free (pay shipping only), but also if you spend $25, you get a free gift (Slushie). So I paid for four flavors and got four flavors free.

Oh I didn't even see that promo! Works out fine cause I'm too broke to buy anything else anyway.

It was just released yesterday. A new flavor, so you all will be the guinea pigs ;)

Love being a guinea pig! At least when the flavor sounds good!

I missed out on the last promo and that one let you pick your own flavors lol, still pissed i missed it .

Unfortunately i will miss out on this one as well but thats my preference as i am only interested in certain flavors and they are not part of the promo .

A big thank you to Walt regardless because the flavors i have bought and tried are fantastic.

Fyi, the sale page is down, but if you go to the main flavor page, scroll to the bottom where the categories are, you can go to the sale page, 4 flavors are 20% off

Damn, the Black label French Vanilla still isn't ready :(

Walt said he had 55 gallons steeping like a month ago.

can anyone recommend any good fruit RF flavours or awesomatic recipes including RF flavours? i found only 2 flavours in my wish list: "Masala Chai" and "Black Raspberry". as shipping always a pain for overseas i would like to get few more their flavours, but have no idea what worth trying. AFT top/popular/hot flavours doesn't include any RF flavours. filtering by RF flavours only gives only limited results without ability to get info what flavours used in recipes to often

by dominicaldazeover 8 years ago

Hear strawberry and pineapple are the bomb. Besides that just do a search for real flavors here and you'll see flavor reviews

2 points

by dom1ngaover 8 years ago

i searched, but results are contradictory enough. mostly people prefer and review custards/bakery flavours. if RF flavours are so good why there are not to many recipes with them (for previous 2 months i found only 2 here)? is RF just hype or their flavours so good and people just enjoying them as single flavuor mixes?

for me it's really interesting how good their wild cherry and cherry flavours are

RF super concentrates are very new and not a lot of people have used them yet, especially in public recipes. I think we'll see more of them as people get more experience, especially if RF keeps doing giveaways promos!

by dominicaldazeover 8 years ago

Ps if you like tea I believe their lemon tea is supposed to be very good too. Do a subreddit search to confirm tho.

Pre-Giveaway RF was viewed very negatively because they were new.

After the giveaway all the big reviewers and mixers got to try them and find out.... hey, that's pretty good!

Look at ELR's forum. Lots of flavor reviews in the RF tasting notes thread. Also if you go to the ELR page for specific flavors you can read the notes.

I thought I'd finally give them a shot but... shipping to Europe is a little prohibitive at $25 minimum :/

You guys do realize that Real Flavors is rebranded Nature's Flavorings, right? Not to say they are bad, they are actually really, really good! So if they are offering a promo I'd swoop it up!

Source?

Read the contact information from both sites. Like 5 years ago I was order Nature's Flavors from them directly, about 2 years ago they seem to kind of go away. Same company, different name. But like I said their flavorings are really good!

Nature's Flavors are based in California and Real Flavors are based in Troy Michigan. I don't see anything that implies they are connected at all.

I've never heard that one, are you sure? Ecigexpress carries some of the VG line and rebrands it as Northwest.

Nice, I picked up their fruity pebbles along with the others so hopefully that doesn't disappoint.

Not really into any of those free flavor profiles but who knows, they may surprise me.

Fruity pebbles is interesting. Very much a good milk base with fruity pebbles. Not much grainy/crunchy part to it though.

Tried at 2.5% and 3.5% and I'm liking the higher % more. I'm liking it more than tpa fruit circles w milk or FW fruit rings.

It's pretty much a one shot imo because I'm not sure I'd add anything to it, maybe just maybe some sugar cookie or AP,. Any more cream and the fruity pebbles taste will be drowned out

I actually didn't order the freebies this time. They aren't my flavor profile, except for that lemon cookie which I want to try. But I figured for the $4 shipping for that one bottle, I will just wait and add it to my next order and pay $1 more. Walt just posted this 2hrs ago.

"I promised myself I would not do it... But we gave away 750 bottles already and sold out... So I just added a 2nd round of 750... They are going to hurt me in production..."

Shout out to Real Flavors for including some dropper tops for the SC bottles. That was a pleasant surprise. Funny how something so small can make or break an order.

You can get to it from the main page of the website actually, it's right at the top. That's how I got to the free flavorings also.

And thanks OP! I've never tried Real Flavors before, super excited, I've been meaning to get some more fruit flavorings.

Try selecting USPS for shipping?

It defaults to DHL for shipping.
