Thanks to the everyone who joined in last week's Flavor of The Week discussion about Pistachio flavors and a special thank you to /u/p00pb0t for this week's wonderfully terrible title.
As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
This week's flavor is: Puddings

FLV VANILLA PUDDING very much similar to flv vanilla custard which already tastes like pudding, vanilla pudding is just sweeter.
Ive gotten praise that this could be a very solid tropical fruit pudding base.
Flv van pudding 3.5%
Inw custard .75%
Flv coconut .2%
Or
Golden Oreo Pudding
Or
Rice Puddin
Did i mention how much I love pudding?
I had someone tell me once that tfa bavarian cream to them tastes like straight up pudding. Cant remember who that was exactly.
I'm going to have to give that pudding base a go. Looks good.
Vaping your Coconut Macaroon right now. Shit is delicious.
Shit man, that pudding base is fucking delicious. I'm having a really hard time letting it sit. Tested it today and was blown away how good it is. Well done!
This was your FOTW request, IIRC? Something about how pudding makes you horny?
It is a fine line between FLV Vanilla Custard and Vanilla Pudding. Both taste like melted vanilla pudding pops to me. Would you say one tastes more like homemade vanilla pudding and one more like Jello box vanilla pudding (not that there's anything wrong with that)?
Yeah puddin does make me horny. Especially those swiss miss creamy vanilla puddings. Flv van cust i cud say is more homemade made out of raw ingredients, while van pudding comes out the box ready to go.
Actually just made this last week.
Simple and delicious nilla pudding. Shake and vape for the impatient mixer. Easy ADV for me.
-
3.5% FLV Vanilla Custard: one of my new favorite flavors. This is everything in the recipe. Love it and let it love you.
-
0.5% DFS Holy Vanilla: just a lil extra vanilla, a la fuck it.
-
1% JF Biscuit: gives me a bit of nilla wafer nuance here.
-
0.5% FA marshmallow: for a thicker mouthfeel and some sweetness.
-
0.5% FA meringue: for a little extra sugar on the exhale.
good shake and vape, I like it after 3 days also.
edit: formatting
Ohh this looks good. I freaking love FLV Vanilla Custard, enough that I finally bit the bullet and ordered a 4oz directly from FLV since BCF only carries the 15ml bottles. I think I might mix this up in a day or two, hopefully INW Biscuit will be an ok sub for the JF since the JF is the only flavor out of that mix that I don't have.
INW is stronger than JF, at least for me. Maybe try it at 0.5 or 0.75%. if you like INW biscuit then maybe 1% would be fine for you.
If you're able to order from ecigexpress, def try the JF biscuit. It's seriously my favorite flavor right now. I've tried over 160 flavors and INW biscuit is one of my least favorite. Just personal preference.
I can get stuff from Ecigexpress, I just tend to shy away from ordering flavors through the mail because I live about a half hour away from BCF and do their free local pickup. I did order the JF Yellow Cake from them when it came out though (and the Holy Vanilla from DFS, natch).
I'll try it with the INW and see how it turns out, then if it isn't so hot I will probably make an order with a couple of well-recommended JF flavors so that I'm not spending shipping money for just one flavor.
Bread Pudding
RF (SC) Bread Pudding 2%
CAP Vanilla Custard 3.5%
RF (SC) Condensed Milk 0.5%
FLV Rich Cinnamon 0.1% (Optional)
Lemon Pudding
FA Lemon Sicily 3%
JF Juicy Lemon 1%
FA Custard 1.5%
FA Vienna Cream 1.5%
FA Meringue 1%
FA Catalan Cream 0.5%
Do you know how much RF Bread Pudding I would need if I have the not SC version?
This is just a guess based on what how I've seen RF SC and RF VG flavors used, and I hope someone with actual experience using specifically both versions of the Bread Pudding chimes in, but I think the % times 4 plus a 3- to 4-week steep would yield about the same results.
Alright, I'll try it like that, thanks. Still been steeping my sing flavor Bread Pudding that I recently got, a few more weeks to go. Might as well have a proper recipe steeping as well, because the smell and initial tasting was pretty promising. Too bad I can't seem to find the RF SC flavors here in Europe.
9.6% to be exact but 10% works too and /u/ID10-T is correct, it'll take a month to rich its potential.
Does RFSC Condensed Milk taste good? After FA's version I'm scared of anything Condensed Milk.
Very milky taste, with a thick mouthfeel, slightly sweet, much like you would get from the real version. I would say it is very accurate and have found it best mixed between 0.25-0.5%
Im in search of a recipe for a Nice creamy Vanilla pudding forever. I hope to learn something from you guys here
Have you tried this one?
Have you tried using other fruits along with the base? I'm not a fan of banana.
Does anyone want to recommend their favorite Banana Cream Pudding recipe in the spirit on the FOTW? I've got LA Banana Cream and TPA Banana Cream, plus tons of creamy vanilla flavors.
The comment above mentions this which I haven't tried
Ingredient|% :---|---: Banana Cream (TPA)|5.5 Cookie (Biscotto) (FA)|1.5 Malted Milk (TPA)|1 Sugar Cookie (CAP)|2.5 Vanilla Swirl (TPA)|4 Whipped Cream (TPA)|3
Flavor total: 17.5%

What are some good Pudding Bases? And what makes Pudding different from Yogurt?
Yogurt has that sour tang from the bacterial fermentation of milk. Pudding is made of fresh milk that's been scalded (changes the flavor, but not at all in the same way that fermentation does) and sweetened with sugar. Puddings can be thickened with egg yolk or with cornstarch; some recipes use both.
For vanilla pudding, or a pudding where vanilla is welcome, I think FLV Vanilla Custard is a good base for the egg yolk type of homemade pudding and FLV Vanilla Pudding is a good base for the cornstarch type (think Jell-O box instant pudding).
For vanilla-free pudding, I'd probably start with CAP Sweet Cream. It tastes sort of like what I imagine unflavored pudding would taste like. Edit: Something would have to be added to get that texture/mouthfeel though and I'm not sure what.
