I've only ever read about problems with the printer.

Anyone I know that prints labels uses at least a Kiaro 50. Anyone I know who has used the Primera for labels wished they never wasted their money and got a Kiaro instead.

That's not to say the Primera won't work, but between the printer being buggy, misfeeds, wasted labels, and expensive ink everyone I've seen has regretted the purchase.

Stay away. I decided it was worth a shot despite the negatives. Used it a week, and then when I changed the ink the little plastic nubs that keeps the cartridge for closed broke. I had to use kanthal and twisted it around the enclosure. Now I have a machine that broke and they won't fix it although it's under warranty and it's a part that needs major dissasembly to fix

I've had mine for about 3 years now, and I love it... It took a few weeks to get over the learning curve, but once you know how to use it, it's a work horse. The ink is expensive, but so is all other ink for all other printers. I've replaced the printhead a couple times, but with as much mileage as I give mine, that's expected (they're only $75)

I run between 100, and 2000 labels at a time on a daily basis, so this is the perfect printer for me. 10-50 labels at a time and the printer would be overkill.

To be honest, I hated this printer for the first 6 months that I owned it... But after turning it inside out and figuring out all the little details and knowing how to use it, I wouldn't have gotten any other printer. My only regret is not holding out for the LX2000. I've only ever had pleasant experiences dealing with Primera.

Wish the ink cartridges were larger.

I was looking at that printer did not hear good things about it. I am looking at This One now. Probably gonna pull the trigger in a month and a half.

I used a Primera 400 for years, and it's finicky, breaks down, jams and prints amazing labels. In large production, it was worthwhile, since you can spend 10 minutes setting it up just right and run 2000 labels off. In small production, I don't know - 10 minutes for 2-10 labels in a run is pretty pricey.

The 900 may be much better, I don't know.

My experience is that it has a lot of issues, and I probably swear at it at least once a day, but it really gets the job done for us. I don't think I regret us having it at all, and haven't had any problems that couldn't be fixed easily or worked around.

I used an LX 900 for our ejuice line for about 7 months, and absolutely loved it. I agree, it does take a little bit of a learning curve to get the labels configured correctly, but once you do...damn, they look great and the colors just pop. Sadly, we closed up shop recently...but I would definitely recommend it. If anyone is looking for one, send them my way, mine is pretty much sitting there now.
