Setup: Halady Clone, Single coil 26g Kanthal @.45 ohms. 45W Power, Half wicked with Native Wicks
Testing: FLV Trix @ .5%. 70/30 VG/PG, steeped 7 days.
Flavor Description: Pretty accurate trix type cereal. I get grainy notes with lemon and generic berry type flavor. This definitely sets itself apart from other fruity cereals like fruit rings and fruity flakes. It is slightly sweet and dry.
Off-flavors: Very authentic flavor, nothing there that doesn't add to the profile.
Throat Hit: Moderate throat hit probably due to the dryness of the flavor as well as the citrus.
Uses & Pairings: This flavor is ready for your favorite milk stone to make a perfect bowl of Trix. It is a very well rounded and balanced flavor that doesn't need much help. Maybe you can go crazy and make a trix donut or something.
Notes: This is one circumstance where the lemon flavor actually comes out with a steep. It doesn't overpower the other flavors, you can still taste a generic berry flavor like the red and purple trix. It has a good balance that helps sell that authenticity;
If you have different opinions on the flavor or any ideas on how to use it please post them in the comments. Lets start a discussion!
Is this "tricks cereal" or something different?

This info is in the post...
Thanks for your high effort reply. There's a flv flavor called "tricks cereal" and it's unclear whether this post is describing that or a different new flavor just called "trix" (which I feel would be a copyright issue..)
New trix or old trix?
I would assume new since I just got it about a month ago
I meant the Cereal. The old trix cereal was my favorite.
Then they changed them to just puffed circles that all have identical puffy texture. garbage!
FLV Picture looks like the new one.
Just want to put this here. I did use FLV Tricks in place of SR in that recipe, and it is turning out pretty nice after just 2 days.
Fruity Flakes works in place of SR at same %
I'm still on a self-imposed exile from FF, but I know what I'm making the next time I use it!
not off but using higher than 2% that berry flavor gets a bit gross.. or over powered i guess until it steeps for a few months it gets kinda caramelly then.
lemon note is closer to the dull LA lemonade lemon rather than the bright notes you get from FW fruit rings or FA lemon sicily and is buried under the berry(grape?) flavor
or atleast at the 1 to 3% i have tested and tried this one at this was the case. I'm going to have to revisit this one and try your 0.5% to see if it is better balanced might just be me tho mixed berry flavors always seem too strong for me.
I've been able to find a few really great cereal flavorings and Trix was one I tried hunting down. I had some house juice at a local shop and was pretty sure they used a single flavoring because all their flavoring was like that. I tried TFA Silly Rabbit... RF Silly Rabbit...Neither were what i hoped...Ihave a feeling this FLV might be the one I was searching for 😀
