Pistachio Cool Whip Pie

FLAVOR NOTES

The 1st layer of this fabulous dessert is the crust. In the edible recipe this is made up of flour, butter and crushed pecan. To accomplish a realistic representation of this, I started with FW Butter Pecan. This is an amazing flavor. And added to INW Biscuit, it forms the perfect crust needed to mimic the dessert.

Our next layer above the crust is a mixture of cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipped cream. This layer has a particularly thick mouth feel to it. It's thick. And it's heavy. To accomplish this I chose the obvious LA Cream Cheese Icing along with CAP's Vanilla Whipped Cream. This mixture still needed a boost imho in terms of thickness and sweetness. That's when I added FA Vienna Cream(thick and somewhat buttery). TFA Meringue is used for 2 things-the powdered sugar of this layer and enhances the following layer.

The next layer is just...awesome. Its pistachio pudding and milk. I used TFA Pistachio for its' lovely sweet flavor. To that I added a bit of INW Marzipan & FA Almond. TFA Meringue was added to make the mixture more of a milky pudding-like consistency.

And the last layer is simply....whipped cream. Mmmm. I also wanted to bring out the inherent sweetness of several concentrates so I added a bit of EM, which performed this action perfectly.

RECIPE

FA Almond 0.75%

INW Biscuit 1%

FW Butter Pecan 0.5%

LA Cream Cheese Icing 1.25%

INW Marzipan 0.5%

TFA Meringue 1%

TFA Pistachio 2%

CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream 2%

FA Vienna Cream 1%

TFA Ethyl Maltol 1%

I like this as a shake and vape but of course with all the creams, it improves vastly after 3-7 days. My problem is, I just can't WAIT that long!! But when I have the patience, this really begins to pop at 16+ days steep. 70% VG is preferred for the thick mouth feel of the creams.

This looks yummy. I just need to finally buy INW marzipan. Might sub FA for now.

Have you had JF biscuit ? I will never again vape the INW version. Everytime I see a new recipe with INW I just encourage people the try the Jungle flavors one because it's stupid good. Probably my favorite flavoring overall.

I have JF Biscuit, yes. It completely slipped my mind. I will have to whip up a separate batch with it! Thanks for this reminder!! Way too many concentrates here and I really need to properly organize them one day!

INW Marzipan > FA Marzipan by a mile. You need it in your life!

I too hit a wall with INW Biscuit. I'd love to try JF Biscuit and Yellow Cake.

Both are excellent. Yellow cake is fluffy and has a nice cake nuance, sweet but not cloying. Their ry4 double is quickly becoming a favorite of mine as well. I've only tried 5 or 6 of JF's offerings but all have been above average to stellar. I also appreciate that I've not had to go above 4% with any of them to get the desired flavor. Working ranges for me are between 0.5 and 4%.

Now do you mean if someone likes inw, they'll prefer JF? I don't like buiscuit almost at all, but if jungle is different, I'll give it a go. If it's very similar, but better, then I won't bother lol. It's used in so many recipes o wish I liked it

I mean that if you like cookie flavors you'll like JF biscuit. INW biscuit above 0.75% makes me nauseous, no jokes.

They are similar but I can't really explain the difference because it's been so long since I've had the INW bottle. it was one of the first flavors I bought when I began diy and I thought why the fuck does everyone use this. I used maybe 1 or 2ml from the 30ml I bought and eventually sold it for like 2 bucks because I just needed it gone from my immediate surroundings.

Anyway I think it's worth grabbing a 10ml and seeing for yourself. I use it in every cookie recipe and I like it with vanilla custard. Also yummy with fruits especially strawberry.

I rarely need to use JF biscuit above 1% to get the flavor I am looking for.

Are you talking about Jungle Flavours Cookie? That's the only one that Chefsflavours has. Cheers

No, the cookie is good but thier biscuit is my favorite flavor. Cookie to me actually tastes like a less sweet CAP sugar cookie with a dollop of cream. Other people report different things but to me it's very creamy, almost milky. I tested at 2% solo.

The biscuit flavor is like if INW biscuit was perfected. I have a strong dislike for INW biscuit but I could vape JF biscuit by itself all day

If you're looking for good stuff try their dulce de leche, Strawberry sweet, lemon juicy, and yellow cake. I noticed chefs flavours doesnt carry their ry4 double which is my new favorite ry4.

Wow I'm a little shocked that I actually have all of these flavors. I guess making all of those flavor orders finally paid off! This looks delicious - I'm going to mix this this weekend!
