A diy youtube community says hello to everyone here!
submitted over 8 years ago by DIY-Eliquid

Hello everyone, after seeing chefsjohn post yesterday I decided to introduce my work and myself here in the diy community too. My name is John and I've been a flavor compounder by trade for 6 years now. In my videos I showcase original recipes and information about ingredients and flavors.

I read this forum here everyday, and I hope to give back some of my knowledge too. If you interested the link to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCE4W3rYROuDGkyTi8IOStcQ

Hi! The Compounder's Corner section of your channel is very interesting. Please do more of those!! It's unique and I hope you'll delve deeper!! I subscribed and will be looking out for more compounding videos :)

Could you do one on ISO E Super?

I'm glad you find the information helpful. ISO E Super is very interesting, it is used very often in fragrances for blending but small doses definitely help some eliquid mixes, especially tobacco or coffee type. I will try to put a video within next week about it. What type of juice do you usually like to mix it in yourself?

I haven't bought it yet. Only way I know how to get it is directly from TPA and there's not enough stuff I want from them to make it worth the purchase. Eventually, I'll just bite the bullet and pick some up. If you know any other compounds I can get from TPA that are useful in tobacco recipes please let me know.

I'm very curious about stuff like ISO E. Have gone through all the tobacco flavors that are noteworthy and am now looking outside the norm for the next great thing.

Ya that makes sense. If you put a TFA order get Smooth too if you havent already, it fits well in many recipes. But ya I will experiment a little with ISO E this weekend to make a video soon.

I found your video when I was looking for a recipe for the desert ship because whatever I made with it sucked and tasted burned. Good to see you here on reddit too.

Ya tobaccos and liqueurs are the hardest to configure by scratch, sometimes they would taste bold at 1% and sometimes you would need 3% just to pass through the profile. Thank you for watching!

Lol that's pretty dramatic.

Let this be a lesson on how to ignore things.

It's an automated measure to stop the main page being filled up with easily-answered questions. There are weekly/monthly threads full of people who can help.

If you can't ignore it then that sucks for you.

I felt this way my first day, but now I simply downvote the warning if it is wrong. I believe we are meant to observe the post and do that. So the newbies get to see the reminder. And the rest of us can accelerate valid discussions by downvoting auto-mod when appropriate, insuring all other replies are seen first.

I totally agree. It's so fucking obnoxious. Every single fucking post. God damn I fucking hate the auto mod. It would be okay if it were even like 90% accurate. It's like....15% accurate.... I could do the math.

Seriously. I would do the math. It's probably 15 percent.
