SC Havana Dry
submitted over 8 years ago by T_Maceresident tobacco specialist

Specs:

  • percentage used: 4%
  • 5 weeks
  • PG/VG ratio: 50/50
  • vaped on O-Atty, SS, 26 gauge, spaced coil, 0.62 ohm, 12-30 watts

Type of Tobacco

  • non-aromatic

Flavor Properties:

  • mellow
  • earthy
  • fairly dry
  • slight sweetness on the exhale (when I say slight, I mean it though, it's not going to hit you as a sweet tobacco)

Relatable Flavors:

  • woodsy
  • light nutty note
  • almost undetectable chocolate note on the back end

Mouth Feel:

  • light density

Off Flavors:

  • none

Position In A Recipe:

  • background
  • use it to add ambiance
  • that touch of sweetness can be used to soften up a mix

Suggested Percentage:

  • 2-4%, it's not overpowering

Pairings:

  • cigar blends mostly
  • wild card would be a tart raspberry

Conclusion:

  • I like this, it's not a standalone but is worth having in the toolbox.
  • It's sort of a way dialed back version of SC Black Mile. Less on the chocolate note and less of that cigar wrapper taste.

worth it as a complement for cigar mixes or not really adding anything you couldnt get elsewhere?

It shares similarities with SC Black Mile I'd say. It's not a super unique one imo.
