Coffee Shop - a Delicious Chocolate Mint
submitted over 8 years ago by blazedripstickinfool

I had been trying to make a good chocolate mint for a while and I think I finally made a perfect one for me. I was shooting for a chocolate mint that wasn't lacking in chocolate flavor, didn't junk up coils, and had the perfect balance of mint. It wasn't easy getting all three of those aspects in a single juice that tasted just how I wanted, but after playing with recipes for a while I was able to:

Coffee Shop

4% Mint Chocolate Chip LA

4% Chocolate Deutsch FLV

2% White Chocolate TFA

1.5% Cream Fresh FA

0.5% Marshmallow TFA

Flavor total: 12%

Mint Chocolate Chip- This is my favorite chocolate mint flavor. It has a nice peppermint patty taste to it and doesn't seem to gunk coils up. By itself it isn't all that chocolaty, but when paired with other chocolates it can become rich.

Chocolate Deutsch- I was really impressed by this chocolate flavor when I first tried it. It has a unique chocolate taste and works very well in this recipe. The chocolate isn't deep by itself, but the accents of coconut and cake are perfect here.

White Chocolate- This flavor is weird. Alone I think it smells and taste kind of like cheese. However, that cheese note helps improve that chocolate depth I was looking for. Without this in the recipe, it is entirely different and isn't nearly as good. The combination of these three chocolates together make a stellar, deep chocolate flavor and with the amount mint it is perfect.

Fresh Cream- Everyone knows about this flavor; a true to its name cream. This flavor is great and very versatile. I use it in this recipe for mouth feel and also for a bit of a milk chocolate taste.

Marshmallow- While this flavor isn't tasted in the recipe, it does improve it in my opinion. This helps round the rest of the flavors out and blends them together. I noticed it seems to steep better when this is added in. This flavor could be omitted if necessary, but it has its place.

I've been mixing this at 30/70 pg/vg and it is great. This is probably one of my favorite original recipes. The mint is strong, so if you don't like mint you may not like this recipe. I think the amount of mint with chocolate is perfect though. One thing I really like about this recipe is how easy it is on coils. Most chocolate mint juices I have tried would just destroy my coils within days. I can go through a 30ml of this before I begin to notice my coils becoming dirty.

I would recommend letting this juice steep for a few days. You can shake and vape this, but it isn't nearly as good; the fresh cream and white chocolate do not mix in well until after 2-3 days.

If you like chocolate mint, you'll be in for a treat.
