What are you nakhla/fakher shisha fans mixing?

I'm so excited about the prospect of recreating hookah flavors. I did find this thread which lays out the foundation for a Double Apple hookah flavor but I don't know anywhere that sells Inawera Apple Shisha anymore or what is going on with that particular flavoring:

I also like the steam stone nicotine free glycerin flavors a lot. Mya rocks I believe they're sold as. They give you tons of smoke too and are used for smoke blower tricks like the tornado or smoke rings.

But breathing smoke still has to be bad.

Cool. Thanks. They also have Fuji in stock!

that site worries me tho. NR is $1.99 per 10 mil for Fuji and they're over $5? What's the deal-io?

diy-ejuice.com is a Canadian site so if the price seems steep but you're in the US, it's not that bad since your dollar is worth sooo much more than ours. Welcome to Canada tho, that's average pricing for flavors here :|

You also have to remember it might be in Canadian dollars.

I too would love to find an accurate representation of Nakhla Double Apple but I have yet to find one :(

I tried the recipe above and it is still not quite right. the Anise and apple are not the same. I have tried anise and licorice from FA(do not order Licorice plus, that shit is nasty), TFA, FW, INW and they are not quite right. TFA absinthe II is still on my to try list

I'm going to chime in here and say that you'll absolutely need to be mixing some kind of tobacco or smoke-like flavours into your fruit to get a true shisha vibe, else its just pure sweet (remember, shisha is molasses/honey + tobacco + VG + flavouring).

You might want to look into inaweras dirty neutral base or FA black fire (I haven't tried the last one).

I've also got RF molasses on order so will do some experimenting with it.

How dare you mention honey.

I've had shisha made with honey and it's too weird.

I used to exclusively smoke both Nakhla and Fakher for 15 years (until I started vaping instead) and Fakher has zero tobacco taste/flavor. Nakhla was almost non existent.

With Shisha tobacco you boil the leaves multiple times and discard the water every time. This will remove most of the tobacco taste.

If you are smoking Nakhla/Fakher and you are getting a burnt flavor then IMO you are doing it wrong and burning the head.
