Noob question re bottles

So I've started using dropper bottles. What I'm wondering is if I remove the glass pipette from the dropper while I'm steeping could the liquid cause any damage or wear on the rubber bulb or effect how well the bottle is sealed?

If you're dead set on this method and in the US, get some of [these] (http://www.bullcityflavors.com/glass-bottles/).

They have a conical inset in the lid that encourages liquid in the lid to drip back in the bottle and also seals the bottle well when screwed on.

EDIT If you order, be sure to select the phenolic cone lids.

I typically use syringes to fill my tanks as I find droppers can get a little messy. I always have to put the dropper on something so it doesn't make a mess when I uncap the bottle. It's for convenience more than anything

I have a Baby Beast so I know what you mean. I make sure I always have a unicorn handy. If you are steeping it why are you using it though?

If you mean why am I using the bottles, dunno what to tell you other than that's what I mixed them in. Pretty much just watched new Amsterdam vapes video for beginners and did what he did. He also recommended removing the pipette to allow for better mixing. My only worry was effecting the quality of the seal mainly.

use glass bottles with regular caps instead of dropper caps... i buy those to store nicotine, then when i switch to a new bottle i put a dropper on...

Personally i would recommend getting some "Chubby gorilla" bottles, they are the perfect mix of unicorns and standard bottles. They have a huge mouth but a tip that fits into stuff as small as the baby beast. Plus the big mouth makes it extremely easy to put a syringe into.

True... I still use them, but only because I have so many and I like steeping my juice in glass. I transfer the steeped juice into my gorilla and other plastic bottles most of the time.

Nothing wrong with dropper bottles, they are easy to mix in and use. I do like unicorn bottles but I use both. I drip 99% of the time so I don't need a syringe or anything to fill a tank

Since some juices cause the o-rings in tanks to swell depending on the flavors (lookin' at you, pineapple) I would think that eventually something would happen to the rubber.

Enough to get it to stop working as intended? Not sure, never tried it long enough personally.

Holy shit THAT'S why my o-rings puffed up. I've never made pineapple flavors in the past, but just got heavy into them and noticed my o-rings were floppy as all hell all of a sudden. Thanks for the info!

You're very welcome. It will also wreak havoc on the seal inside smok tanks like the TVF4, TFV8, TFV8 (Big) Baby and reg, as well as the TFV12.

It's so annoying.

The seal on dropper bottles is just OK. Removing the glass dropper won't make much of a difference.

I reuse some old dropper bottles for my DIY liquids, and I remove the pipettes from the lids. I shake the crap out of them prior to steeping and also periodically while steeping. I haven't seen a leak so far, but I haven't been DIYing long. I haven't noticed any damage to the bulbs, either.

I will sometimes replace the pipettes if I want to taste-test using my RDA, and so far haven't noticed anything unusual, except now and then the pipettes go in a little crooked.

What I mostly worry about is not getting the bulbs clean enough after use and cross-contaminating. It hasn't happened so far, though.
