Holy Vanilla Diyfs questions.
submitted over 8 years ago by BlueWolfEjuice

Hello guys, new to this thread and if this is the wrong way to post this I appologize. I have searched and found the flavor review of the flavor but I had a few other questions that I did not find answers to In other threads.

I got a 30 ml of holy vanilla as I have heard amazing things about it . I have mixed up tasters at 1, 3, 5 percent.

First taste they all have a really wierd off flavors. The 1 % I couldn't taste the vanilla but it did have this off taste i cannot put my finger on it. At 3% I get more vanilla but the Same off flavor and at 5% it's the same.

The off putting flavor is like biscuit but dryer . Almost makes my throat itch. I have let it steep for about a week and I'm going to give them a try again but as of this point I'm going to stick with my normal vanillas like SWIRL.

Thanks guys, any advice on ways to use it or any ideas on use. I did make goldbones dunkaroos which was pretty good but again the vanilla just takes away from it all.

This is the saddest thing I've ever read, as my love for the HV runs deep. I do prefer this flavor steeped, though I still find the vanilla quite present freshly mixed between .5 and 3%. I do get a subtle waxy note on a fresh mix but I find it fades rather quickly, within 12 hours standalone, and even faster or not at all in a mix.

I'm not sure what that could be.

INW biscuit is off putting to me also but DIYFS holy vanilla is more addicting than nicotine.

I have yet to use it above 3% but at 3% standalone I did not notice anything off as a S&V nor after a steep.

I wonder if it's just the way it tastes to you and if that's the case I am sorry and I feel bad. It's not a 'wet' feeling concentrate but I wouldn't describe it as dry either. It's a well rounded vanilla that I would describe as floral but balanced with sweetness and darker tones at 3%.

What pg/vg ratio are you at?

Is your holy vanilla a darker brown color? (should be)

Did you smoke weed recently? (That always fucks with the way vanilla tastes for me, but oddly enough it makes strawberry taste better)

Only other thing I can suggest is pairing it with like 1 drop TPA marshmallow per 10ml just to see if it counteracts any of the off notes/ dryness

Wow the whole smoking thing is me exactly, I love my strawberry after I partake. I will test the vanilla theory tonite . Honestly this flavor has been epic level disappointment. I feel like the kid who didn't get anything he asked for on Christmas, or got the knock off shit. I hope I can find a way to improve it and my taste buds

With that being said I am still using it in every new mix instead of other cream elements. Will see how it turns out

If you have shisha vanilla try using them together it's intense and delicious vanilla. 2:1 or 3:2 ratio (holy:shisha) is my go to.

something like 1.5% holy / .75% shisha

in my vanilla cookies the two are just shimmering with flavor. it's a religious experience for me.

I'd suggest putting it in a mix and see if it is still there.

I found during my single flavour testing it was a dry very authentic vanilla not really ment for stand alone, its been going really good in my custards/cream mixes, maybe just try adding 1-2% into a mix instead

Any flavors your suggest to work with , any percentages or recipes. The few I tried in came out the same but if I maybe add as like a second custard cream back note maybe work

FW Hazelnut, FA Meringue, and CAP Vanilla Custard all work amazing with Holy Vanilla. This is my favorite use of Holy Vanilla since I've gotten that flavor. It is my own recipe, but that combo of flavorings undoubtedly work well together.

Made this and honestly when I lowers the holy vanilla it was absolutely amazing. I added a little tpa butter to make it seem less dry but man that stuff is delicious

Holy Vanilla (DIYFS) 1.5%

Pound cake (DIYFS) 0.5%

Sugar Cookie (CAP) 2.5%

Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP) 10%

This is a recipe I think that was posted here before I been vaping it for awhile now and cant get enough, if you dont have the pound cake it would prolly be good even without it :)

Holy diacetyl batman, vanilla custard @ 10 . I tried it with it at 3% just to add some more diacetyl. Will let you know how turns out.

I speak opposing the general opinion on Holy Vanilla, but I find very little actual vanilla taste, as well as that biscuit you mention. This is why I say that using Sugar Cookie Cap is a sufficient substitute in lieu of Holy Vanilla, in a pinch. You are not alone with your observations.

Ok thank God because honestly every local mixer and everyone I talked to swear by it. They known I love vanilla swirl, shisha and so on but this one just seemed off . It was dark in color smelled delicious like vanilla sugar cookie but it just is not what I expected

So I came up with this and I am digging it I call it

Holy Cookies Batman!!

Cap sugar cookie. 4%

Diyfs holy vanilla. 1.5%

Cap vanilla custard. 2%

Tpa butter. .5%

Fa meringue. 1%

This is beyond delicious. Thanks for all the help honestly I obviously had influences of others esp. People who posted here.

Enjoy
